This was the worst experience i've EVER had with a contractor working in my home. The owner spent a long time in advance of the job asking me to list every window that needed to be washed. When he showed up one and a half hours LATE, he had no idea what the scope of the job was. He left one man and told me the job would take two hours, when, in fact, the job took three and a half hours. The window washer had a GREAT DEAL OF DIFFICULTY putting my windows back into their respective grooves after tilting them inward to clean the surfaces that faced outward. I actually had to help him. I will NEVER use this company again. I have never posted a review on YELP before, but I felt it was important to warn others about this dangerous incompetent company. NO STARS. read more

Andre did a great job! This was the first time we've ever had our windows cleaned and it is SO WORTH IT. If we had done them ourselves, it would have taken hours of time. Andre came in (very prompt), cleaned all 8 of our windows (plus our skylight that opens up) in under an hour. He's very nice, conversational -- and he was totally chill when my little dog kept barking at him. I think we'll have him start coming at least twice a year. It's a lot less expensive than I thought it would be. Having clean windows lets more light in and just looks nicer. I echo another reviewer's statement when they said it looks like there's no glass in the windows. I just went to close an open window, and then realized it was already closed! tried the rest? collins is the best, and you will find no more courteous, energetic, and comprehensive window washer in all five boroughs. andré arrived on time. no complaints about the difficult street parking that we hear constantly. prices were as quoted. for a nominal extra fee he removed the screens and cleaned them downstairs. wow! i'm sure they had never been cleaned before. top notch. let there be light! read more

Collins was great to work with. Cindy responded really quickly to my request and was able to fit me in within a few days. Andre showed up on time to the appointment, so I was able to get to work on time which is rare when dealing with contractors. The windows themselves are spotless, and I had no clue they could be so perfectly clean - the difference in the amount of light that now gets into the apartment is amazing. Great window washing. They arrived on time with all their equipment. They did a wonderful job despite the many difficulties my windows present. I have old windows that do not tilt and bars and non removable air conditioners in some windows. My windows hadn't been washed in a while and we have recently undergone an apartment renovation. The windows were coated with grime. High praise, especially for Ricardo who addressed and overcame all the difficulties. read more

Just had a pretty bad experience with this company. I own a dance studio in Brooklyn Heights and this is the 2nd time they are cleaning our windows. The first time around it was $180. The guy tells me on the phone that his prices have increased since then. Ok I get it, I own a business and we need to increase prices occasionally. When he gets here he gives me a quote of $270. That's quite an increase (50% to be exact). So before he does the job I ask him if there is some sort of price break if we were to schedule a cleaning every 3 months. He says it would be $200 in that case. Which is reasonable. After he's done the job I go to pay him the $200 and he tells me it's $270 for today. Why can't I start the contract today? I'm ready to give him $200 every 3 months for the forseeable future (I have 9 years left on my lease). As a fellow business owner, I'm scratching my head. If a client comes in to take a class at my studio and wants to sign up for a membership, I'm not charging my client a higher rate for today's class. I'm starting the contract right then and there to lock in that income indefinitely. (And also to please my customer). When I asked this question of him (why wouldn't you want to lock it in?), his answer: "I have a lot of customers" ...lovely. Plenty of other vendors out there, give your business to someone who is going to value it. (To be fair, they get 1 star for squeezing me in on same the day I called.) read more
