I do my research before trying a business especially for my healthcare. I came in as a new patient and it turns out I had to get a root canal and crown to fix my issue. No problem, I had one before with my longtime dentist but he was Retired so I tried oak tree dentistry. The Dr I met with I didn't catch his name he was partially bald, rushed through my diagnosis didn't explain much of anything but let me know I needed the root canal, we scheduled it I came back and I was met with a completely different dr. A woman she was of Indian descent wasn't listed on the website as a dr there I was very confused but trusted them. It was the most painful root canal I was there for over 3 hours mouth open getting worked on. My temp tooth fell out 2 times while waiting for my crow to come in. Till this day a year later the tooth is still sensitive. Very unfortunate my original dentist really set the bar, my first root canal was so fast so smooth so painless so this was a COMPLETE SHOCK.

A bite that my Dentist suggested would cause additional dental issues if not treated. The recommendations for corrections were a major-surgery to basically break the jaw, realign the jaw and then proceed with Orthodontics. I explained to Dr Brizendine that it was my preference to avoid surgery at all costs and also clarified that my intention was to address the bite issue. A near perfect "alignment was not the intended outcome, nor an expected outcome. Dr Brizendine took on the challenge and delivered a functional bite AND an alignment that is much better than expected. This outcome did take a little longer than initial estimates, but there was no additional costs for the "time". I offered and it was refused. The Doctor does run a busy practice, but he always made time for repairs and/or questions in a timely manner. Thanks, Doctor "B"!! I appreciate the time, effort and outcomeon my case. Jerry

The office is bright, modern, and extremely clean. I appreciated how open the layout feels with the glass treatment rooms. You can see the care happening, which adds a layer of comfort as a parent. The space feels updated and thoughtfully designed rather than clinical and intimidating. The staff was patient and kind, especially with nervous kids. They explained what they were doing in a way that felt reassuring instead of rushed. The team moved efficiently, but we never felt like "just another appointment." I also noticed how organized everything was, from check in to treatment. That kind of smooth flow makes a huge difference when you're managing a child's anxiety or a busy schedule. If you're looking for a pediatric dental office in Lodi that combines a clean, modern environment with compassionate care, this is a solid choice.

I had struggled…read morewith anxiety all my life and the fear I had to dentists prevented me from going on a regular base. This 5 star review is only because Dr. Ung is amazing. Carolina and Monse, the assistants who assisted her on my treatments, are amazing. Her Hygienist is a great guy that chats with you and makes you feel welcome and comfortable. As for the front desk crew, my experience was negative and full of lies. For my first visit on May 12th, 2021 Dr. Ung knew my fear and anxiety and prescribed me a medication to help me be calm. Even do her front desk lady, not Jessica but the other one, said she had sent the prescription to Target, it was not available. I got there super anxious and worried but Dr. Ung and Monse were amazing! Of course I was able to get the medication after my appointment when it was finally sent to target pharmacy. De.Ung, Carolina, Monse and the hygienist are super professional and I personally would love to continue my and my family's treatment there. Unfortunately my negative experience with the front office lady is just too much. I never got a response on what my two insurance coverage would be, what my copayment were going to be ahead of time because, she always claims she had not received a response from the insurance. Not even for my youngest son fillings we got the co-pay amount ahead of time.. aren't dentist offices supposed to give you some information or an estimate right there on your first 2 visits? I mean, what if I don't have the $ to pay for a filling.. just because I have signed documents stating I'm responsible for any financial portion my insurance won't cover, it doesn't mean I have to go in blindly without knowing if I will be able to afford the procedure! Same thing happened when one of my sons needed the pre-authorization for his braces..I had to call my insurance and get them the documents they needed because this lady had not submitted things according... it seemed she had no interest in getting a patient the braces he needed! In my case, I'm still waiting for the actual numbers. I only got estimates from her... and that was on my last visit when I couldn't get my tooth prepped for a crown..since I had no idea what the insurance would cover and what my cost would be..she came in with an estimate of cost after having weeks to request and submit what the insurance needed, I still had nothing. After months, she still "couldn't" obtain a response from my insurance. Funny thing is, that while at the office on my last visit, while waiting for my you youngest son, I called the insurance, they told me they were missing several documents, they had pending claims due to lack of documentation and gave me a list of documents needed. I gave the list to this lady and almost two weeks later, I still have no response and no information. They claim they are short staff..but to me and based on my experience, this is just someone who cannot get the job done on a timely manner. Is unfortunate that I had finally found a great dentist with whom I felt comfortable and who I trusted and now my family and I, have to stop being her patients due to the lack of professionalism and dedication of one person. I'll attach pictures of text messages exchanged so that ppl can see, how their response changed and how urgent things seemed once I told them I was going to reach out to Dr. Ung. Sorry. But this is my awful experience with someone at your office. I know this does not reflect in any way your professionalism and amazing skill with your patients. Thank you, Dr. Susana for making me feel at ease every time you were working on my teeth and I'm sorry but you need to know before you loose more patients.

Sometimes staff were actually rude to me and I barely spoke any English so I couldn't really say anything about it. I had been in braces for almost 2 years already. A friend of mine suggested me to transfer to a different office. I went to Lodi's Western Dental on September, 2012. Dr. Simontacchi did my exam. I still remember him shaking his head at how disappointed he was about the treatment that I had previously received. He told me that I had to be in braces for about one more year. So I decided to contract again. At this point I still had open spaces because of extractions due to crowding. All spaces closed within the first few next visits. My brackets were repositioned and my smile looked completely different within just a few days(it was painful but worth it). I was always explained what was being done. The staff is really nice. Down side I would say it's wait time. Some times they get very busy but they still get back to you. A little wait won't kill anyone. The orthodontist is very professional, loving, and caring about his patients. Also, the assistants are really nice and always make you feel welcomed and make you laugh out loud sometimes. I got my braces off last week. Had them in for over 3 years. I received treatment in Lodi's office for 1 year and 2 months. I wish I had started my treatment with this doctor. If so, my braces would have been off a long time ago. However, I'm very pleased with the treatment I received and results after braces. I have recommended friends and family to go in as patients and will continue to do so. Awesome staff and Orthodontist!
