It is BAD or way BAD!! I am taking my yearly exam from this clinic form 2023,2024 & now in 2026. They did my eye exam as same they did in past years nothing new, whereas in 2026 they charge or claim to my main health insurance company UHC instead of my eye related insurance company named MetLife. Through MetLife my yearly eye exam is covered whereas through UHC I have deductible to pay. This is a purely a mistake of their insurance coordinator to make this claim to UHC and when I notify this to insurance coordinator, she starts making all false reason to convince me to pay. One of the reasons she gives me, they did my Diabetic eye exam in 2026 and that is why they charge to my main insurance company, whereas this is the same eye exam they did in past two time NOTHING NEW and in the past, they charge the same amount to MetLife instead of UHC. I am upset/ surprise instead of admitting their mistakes they are making all false statements with unprofessional way of handling their customer or clints etc. read more

Returning student patient. Having insurance helps, I can't speak to the student discounts, but I believe they have them. The team was great, answered all of my questions, which there were many for both the optometrist Dr. Blois and the optician Ed. Got set up with a new pair of frames/lenses and they were ready faster than I was quoted. Depending on your face shape/size, maybe there won't be a ton of options for you, but if there is something you are looking for, tell them. I was able to pick out several pairs and we worked through each one until I found the one that worked. They are going to order your pair, so ask questions, lots and lots of questions. If you don't find something, they provide you with the information you'll need, legibly, you have no idea how important that is. I was scheduled weeks in advance, and then was rescheduled the day of, life happens and luckily reschedule was possible for same day. It worked out. If I am still in the area when I am ready for another pair, I will return. Until then, I will be returning for additional testing for all the other stuff you have to check. read more

I have been a patient at College Optical Express (COE) for three years. Each visit is a great experience. The doctors and staff are always so friendly and willing to help and explain any questions I have. Dr. Blois is fantastic! She has been my doctor since my first appointment. I have also ordered two sets of eyeglasses from COE and each have been of great quality. Great Experience. This office was conveniently located right on UNT's campus. They were quick, friendly and they take walk-ins! I did my eye exam here recently and I have to say I love the service here. I have dry eyes and I also have hyper active eyes (not sure the technical term) but basically my eyes will strain to focus even when something is out of focus. So this typically causes an issue for the doctor when doing the exam. 1 or 2? 1.... wait.... 2.... wait no... 1... yeah 1... i think? Is that the right answer? Is typically how my exam would go. Dr Tran used a different technique with me. He actually looked through the lens thing and adjusted till he saw fit. It had to be the sharpest I've seen things. Dr Tran does as much as he can to make sure you leave confident you got the right prescription for the next year. I will definitely be back again when its time for me to update my RX. read more

The quality of work they do is very good, but it is very expensive, and they are hindered by having a small office on a large campus-- so sometimes they cannot fit you in for weeks. For instance, when they received my contacts early in the semester, they required an appointment to fit them, but were unable to schedule that appointment for weeks. Instead of allowing me to pick up my contacts, pay for them, and try them out on my own--or just finding a way to fit me in between appointments, they held them hostage for three weeks or so. The expense and difficulty of this optometrists office won't bother everyone-- but if you're paying for your own care, or anticipate needing quick eyewear replacements, be warned and willing to check out another option. read more

I went in for a vision exam, was told I needed glasses, and purchased them. When I received the glasses, my vision was worse. The second exam showed that I actually did not need glasses. When I asked for my money back I was told that they only offered store credit, and it was suggested that since I had no need for glasses, I might want $300+ dollars worth of eyedrops. I suggest that you find another, more honest optometrist. *Update* I was eventually offered an apology and a refund. read more

Location advertises Ray Ban, I walked in prepared to purchase some and I was told that they do not carry Ray Ban and was offered knockoff Persol frames instead. False advertisement shows a lack of integrity and leadership. Management here needs to get their act together and carry better frames than the plastic trash that I was shown. read more

My wife and I went here to have an eye exam, and loved our experience. From the very start, the staff was friendly and professional. Dr. Park gave us a very thorough examination, explaining all aspects of the process. Ms. Tran was very patient and helpful in our search for the perfect frames, and her explanation of how our new lenses work really gave us a clear picture (no pun intended) of what to expect. This place was amazing to me. I went in for new glasses and had zero issues. I'm super picky about my frames and I had a hard time finding a pair I liked. I finally let the sales guy pick for me and on his first try they were perfect! It was like he had a gift or something. Everything from there went smoothly. Got my second pair of glasses here. I won the glasses for free, but received top notch service anyways! We had trouble getting my prisms right, and when the glasses came back, they were wrong. However, they had them sent back in and fixed for me with no hesitation. Fantastic service and friendly people. Can't beat it! My husband and I have been going to Dr. Tran for a few years now so I can give a "tried and true" review. We get the full annual eye exams along with eyeglasses and contacts. The office takes our insurance and Dr. Tran is attentive and thorough in his exams and fittings. We never feel rushed like we did at other practices. With Dr. Tran we feel like he takes into consideration other factors of our health and lifestyle that could impact our eyesight vs. just focusing on the normal eye tests (although he's got that covered too). I previously put eye exams lower on my priority list, but once you have issues with your contacts / vision, this goes to the top of the list and having a great Optometrist as part of our care providers makes a big difference in our lives. read more

The glasses are the right prescription and the optometrist was on time, which is half the battle. The staff didn't mention the eye scan was extra, and that it wasn't really needed if you also got dilated. The woman fitting the glasses isn't particularly good. She didn't get the glasses resting evenly...askew isn't a good look. And way too much sales pressure for all the extra coatings. Eh. I'd go back, but, like car shopping, have lunch first and be ready to say no a few dozen times. read more

I have visited this office twice so far, and the staff have been very helpful and courteous. I was seen by a different optometrist each time (for an eye exam and contact lenses), and they both were nice and gave me detailed information on my results, including some info I had never been offered by any previous optometrist. I have been getting my eyes checked here for the past 3 years. Dr.Tran is very professional. The front desk staff and intern that work there are very professional, too. Their frames collection has improved, before I had to take my glasses prescription to Target to get Ray-Ban frames but I suppose they have gotten a contract with them now as well as some other good frame designers. I absolutely love the staff here! The atmosphere is super friendly and the service is amazing. I have horrible vision, and for years I had struggled with having to wear glasses with very thick lenses. Dr. Tran recommended high index glasses and they completely changed my world! I can now comfortably wear my glasses without them weighing down on my nose. The staff are just as, if not even more wonderful than the doctors. They are so friendly and warm and easy to communicate with. One team member by the name of Diem is a ray of sunshine. Diem has managed to always greet me by name, and always makes me feel at home.
