I can confirm that Dave is a man of integrity. After having taken my car to the local Toyota dealership, and having them take more money than service offered, I was no better off. Dave helped diagnose my problem; I fix my own car when possible. He offered advice, and said should I need him for anything, just ask. And, no charge for pointing me in the right direction on an electrical issue; ie. he performed an analysis of my electronic system for free. What more can I say. He is now my go to guy. read more

Went to these guys after my usual garage didn't manage to fix an annoying noise issue after two attempts. They were very courteous and pleasant to deal with. They diagnosed the problem quickly. To be fair, their diagnosis was the same as my usual garage but the difference was that they proposed an alternative method to fix it. It was a little more expensive than my usual garage but they managed to fix it as promised, quickly. I don't mind paying a little more for good results. Will be using them again. read more

I bought my first car at a shady used car lot Guelph, and it came with a TON of mechanical problems. However College Auto Tech was great at letting me know what was wrong with the car, what needed to be fixed right away and what could wait. Their prices are very fair and they are incredibly honest. I brought my car in once because the temperature gauge indicated the engine was constantly overheated - however after spending hours running tests and checking fans, belts, etc. the mechanic concluded that it was just a malfunctioning dashboard gauge and the car was not overheating. They did not charge me a dime! Another time when I brought the car in they were able to literally solve the problem in ten minutes, and again didn't charge me because it was such a quick fix. I never felt stupid asking questions and they were always friendly, appreciative of my business and more than willing to drive me home and pick me up. Mechanics like Dave White are a dying breed, that is for sure. I've since moved out of Guelph and would give a kidney to find another mechanic this great! read more
