COLLEGE ARCO @ SDSU This gas station is the only one located right by SDSU. Because it's so close to campus, the prices are definitely on the higher side and a lot of students end up getting their gas here. The station itself is a bit old and hasn't been renovated in a while, but they do have snacks and drinks inside. My friend and I stopped by to put in about $10 of gas. There are only four pumps total, and we managed to get one, but it was pretty dirty. There's also a credit and debit card fee, so if you have cash, I highly recommend bringing it to avoid the extra charges. We paid inside, but the pump wasn't working, and the cashier wasn't very helpful, she just kept saying, "Have a great day," even when we were trying to explain the issue. After trying three times, she finally got the pump to activate. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this spot. It's busy because of the student traffic, the prices are high, the pumps are old, and the place could really use a renovation read more

Ok to fill gas there when working in that area. Easy access, easy transactions, never had any issues.

I would seriously consider choosing a different gas station when choosing one. It is, first of all in a very inconvenient area, which I know is not their fault necessarily, but in turn you have college kids who are driving recklessly, very rude, and will almost hit your car without caring because they want to be priority. The workers also usually do not know what they're doing and half of the pumps will be broken so you have to go into your car to find a new one while there are five college kids fighting you for the same one. The Arco down the street is seriously a better option so I would choose it. I usually do not write reviews and I am very understanding but every time I'm here (since I work close by) it is a nightmare. read more

Went in for the first time today, the manager or whoever she is needs to learn how to handle situations. there was a misunderstanding where they put the a guys money on the wrong pump and someone used the pump. $40 dollars lost. While she did resolve the issue which was handled pretty well. She continued to tell a Hispanic man that he needs to learn English or next time she won't allow him to get gas. Meanwhile she had someone who somewhat spoke Spanish working. Ms. manager lady , do better. Or at least do your bs in the back where customers can't hear you lol. read more

Whenever I go to this Arco I always say to myself when watching the college kids shuffle in and out, "how many beer runs has this place endured?" The unofficial answer is undoubtedly: tons. It's a gas station, that's for sure. Seen one, seen them all, right? I pretty much agree, but what sets a standard business aside from the others is the staff. In this case I'm going to assume that the sweet woman who I know works on the weekend must be the owner or manager. If she's not, she's employee of the year because of her cordial attitude, friendly demeanor, and authentic pleasantries. When you're used to most gas station employees barely acknowledging you and throwing your change across the counter experiences like the ones I've had with the employee here are much more meaningful - she loves her job! Side note: when getting gas, place an order from Chickpea. They share the parking lot and have some of the best damn falaffel that you've ever had, trust me. read more

This gas station refused to turn on the air and water for vehicles ! Not only is this illegal but it's just immoral. What a horrible way to run a local business. I was coming here 3 days a week for different things and will now never be returning. I will also be looking into filing about legal inquiries not providing air and water read more

This is a really hard place to work full-time because of all the influx of college kids and I gotta say the woman who have seen there and other people there in the past are very well mannered and can handle their stuff I got to give them props thank you so much. read more

I would do no stars if possible, only because of that lady who always is there. She makes you do the most whenever you're in need of air. You have to be a customer or you're not getting air which is ridiculous because you don't always need to buy something to fix your car issues.. it's just a convenient thing to offer. I might've been a customer another time but this lady jus sucks at her job and only cares to her life easier rather than helping out people in her community. I didn't care to get her name but she is short, possibly Mexican, very unprofessional. read more

Best gas station in SD! Prices are amazing, the owner and employees make you feel like your at home!! Has wide variety of choices for snacks and drinks that's are great for the near by collage students! MUST COME HERE! read more

I end up here a lot because I work nearby and always seem to be running on fumes by the time I reach this intersection. The people that work here are moderately friendly, but they charge you an additional .45 cents for using credit OR debit cards...and the pumps are so ghetto you can't even hit the little kick-stand type thing to hold the gas pump in, you have to stand there and hold it yourself. Price-wise, they are mostly on par with other stations in the area (says my Cheap Gas app.) read more

Don't try getting gas here after 11pm! The sign says "open" but it's not. I put in my card & pin and it said to go see the attendant - well the door was locked! Even though the blinking sign says "open!" Well, they've lost my business... read more

The owner is a true gem, her version of customer service is trying to make customers sorry they ever stopped in at her store. If you mention an employee was rude to you she defends then by telling you it's just business and you should go somewhere else. Ouch, hopefully this changes as its a great location and I'm sure she can change. read more

I'm not sure about that other guy's claim but I can tell you this. Prices are below market value, if anything, they should be inflated because of the area it is in. Two thumbs up. read more

No stars for this thieves, do not pump gas on this location, unless you must but beware. I had to get some gas there one day there was something wrong with the machine outside, so i go inside to pay for some gas the guy says you have to guesstimate how much you need, he charges. I don't use all the gas i thought i would, go back inside he says he cannot refund the rest of the money, so at least i wanted something else, a drink, a snack, but he says he cannot. He cannot speak english, he doesn't know how to use the machines, worthless. I'm sick of people like this giving customer service, the problem is the owners of this gas station, it's a mess, you don't just charge money for nothing, THIEVES! read more

These greedy S.O.B.s. They charge .35 on BOTH credit and debit cards. Yes, debit cards. In fact ONLY debits cards are allowed outside to get gas and then inside it's another .35 cent fee to buy any snacks or drinks. NEVER GO HERE. read more

The station is clean and seems to be average price. However, they only take debit and charge a fee to take it. They can do this because gas is not an optional purchase for most people and it is often not an option to go elsewhere. If you care about using a certain card to get rewards or something, plan ahead and get gas where there is no fee and all cards are welcome. read more
