Ok, I normally don't give hole in the wall type places 5 stars but the food here is so good I felt I had to. From the michelada with 2 tasty fresh shrimp on top to the many tasty seafood items and stand by's like the barbacoa. These guys are serious about delivering quality food. I should take back "guys". Both times (a year apart) when I've been in town for a rifle match the ladies here went out of the way to make a couple gringo's from Seattle feel at home and were so accommodating that it made a big impression. On this visit they were prepping for a party of 30+ but made no bones about taking care of us as we were there first. Real class that I don't see in many other places these days. I travel for work all the time and it's places like this that make me remember them and look forward to coming back for more. I probably won't be back until next January but if I'm in the Hanford area I will make sure I get here for sure. read more

Food is excellent and very attentive staff. The bartender makes delicious drinks. The bathroom can be a little bit cleaner although.

Service was terrible, and the food delivery service to the table was worse. After waiting 1/2 hour we asked for our food and was told it was being processed as we spoke. We waited an additional 10 minutes before we finally got our food. All the while, We watched others get their food despite the fact that we arrived and ordered first ! It was not worth the wait! The only saving grace, were the homemade tortillas !! They were exceptional. Won't be returning. read more

So I said I was gonna come back for their breakfast burritos, and I have. Twice. They offer them with beans - I've had a burrito w/ and one w/o. both are good, but w/o is my personal fave. they earned a star directly because of their eggs. They taste just like my grandma's! All buttery and cholesterol inducing. I'll be back...in the am!! read more

Colima - I know it looks odd but it was delicious. Hold the beans, sausage, egg & salsa. - Mexican Near Me - Hanford, California

Went there for dinner. I had the chili verde burrito, my husband had the beef enchiladas. Both were good. Service was good. I loved my mango margarita, with chili. I don't know what it was called, but it was great! We come to this town once a year, and always make sure we come here. Wish we lived closer. read more

Best Michelada ever! Made with shrimp juice, so tasty it will get you in trouble. Had that shrimp and octopus cocktail as well, while the cocktail was very good, the meal itself seemed small compared to other cocktails I've had for the price. All and all a great clean place to have a drink and a meal. read more

If you recall on one of my last reviews about the "3 Mexican restaurants" in Hanford. Well this is one of the three AKA as the fantastic three. There discipline to open early year round is by far superior. There food is good. The down fall is the portions are very small. This place is very good but for me to give 5 stars the portions take a big part in my rating and to be honest I'm being a little forgiving on the rating. This place has great service, fresh food, and just all around traditional Mexican food. While many other Mexican and non Mexican restaurants come into town this one of the three that has not fallen. I recommend this place. read more

This place is legit. They have the best homemade tortillas and micheladas I've ever had in my life! The staff was very friendly as well.

Came from Tulare to pay a bill and looked on yelp hoping to find a good Mexican place. We waited 40 min to finally get our food... it took about 10 min for them to refill my husbands soda..I ordered the chicken enchilada combo and my husband ordered the chili verde burrito. For the length of time we waited I don't think it was worth it. The enchiladas were ok and my husband said the chili verde sauce tasted like it came from a can. Wasn't pleased at all. read more

The service and drinks were excellent! BUT... this was the worst Mexican food I have ever had. I ordered the chicken red enchiladas and my husband had chicken soft tacos. The chicken looked and tasted bland and of bad quality. Something about that chicken didn't look right. I was spitting out hard pieces of chicken cartilage or bone on every other bite from my food. The rice was extremely greasy compared to other mexican rice I have tasted, so I will not be returning to eat here. read more

This post isn't about the food because I'm writing this as I wait for my to-go order! I was next door to pick up an order and the shop wasn't open yet so I decided to order something for breakfast, to go. I walked in and it reminded me of a typical Mexican joint, which it was so that's good! I was on my phone asking my niece what she wanted and looking at the menu and a lady was there with her booklet in hand ready to take my order. She could clearly see I was on the phone but wanted to take my order now! When I got off the phone she rushed me and with an attitude to boot! Hopefully the food is better than her attitude but then that wouldn't be saying much! read more

Great service! This place is so authentic, I love it. It's got a chill atmosphere for groups. The food is consistent. It's relatively cheap too. read more

I love the fact that they have homemade tortillas. I totally appreciate that because store bought ones are a disappointment to me. They have good Carne asada, I like their buche, and the tripas wasn't that bad either. Service can be kind of slow, especially during lunch. It was hard to get a water refill. The food is delicious though, and almost makes up for it. read more

The food is always delicious. You have to try their carnitas appetizers and their mechaladas However, the service needs improvement Not enough staff to accommodate the customers and you usually have to wait for a while before they check on you read more

I recommend this place. The food was flavorful and moist. Everything was inexpensive for dinner. While the help worked hard she was behind the counter and taking the full restaurants orders! Everything tasted fresh and true to the flavors I am used to! And be sure to check out their homemade tortillas! There is no sign outside, so heads up!!!! read more

I really liked this place, service was great and friendly. I really recommend the chile rellano, it was so good. It wasn't over battered like most rellano's, it was the best one I've ever had. Will definitely come back again read more

I have heard a lot about this restaurant and the fact that they have homemade corn tortillas. Finally decided to give it a try for breakfast. I ordered the Machaca with egg and beans and rice which I enjoyed. The corn tortillas were the best part. My husband ordered three tacos with rice and beans. The tacos are very filling, he was only able to eat two. We also decided to try an order of pancakes. They were so good which surprised me. They are pretty big and one pancake is enough for me! I will definitely be coming back! read more

Every time I come to this place. The food is delicious. Hands down legit and best kept secret of Hanford.

The food is really good but the service is AWFUL. Every single time I order to go, I get screwed!! They either forget the salsa or the chips and I'm always missing at least one or two items from my meal. When I call them to report the issues, they act like I am trying to F them over. They never apologize and they basically argue as if I am full of sh*t. I have been eating there for years and this has been a constant issue. I don't know how they stay in business with such bad customer service. I haven't ever posted a review on yelp but I am so frustrated. I guess I will have to take my business elsewhere. read more

Worst service every called in an order I asked them if they had a enchilada comb plate and what it came she said 3 enchiladas and rice beans and salad I told her I want it but without the salad I asked for the total and she said 36 dollars I asked her for what and she said 3 enchiladas and a large side order of rice another large side order of beans I then told he I just wanted the comb plate and she said sorry and got back to me with the total of 33 dollars again I asked for what and she replied for 3 enchilada comb plates I told her one and she finally gave me the correct amount she told me 20min and I said that's ok but when I got there she asked my name and I paid for the order and she walked off without saying anything to me so I sat down and waited 30mins for an order that was just sitting in the food window the whole time when I asked her where my order was they could figure out what I ordered when I just paid for it they cant even keep track of what their doing I will never waste my time and money with this place read more

Great place to eat better than la fiesta for sure more authentic. Good quality food, my good 2 Mexican restaurant

Amazing Mexican food on our way to Sequoia National Park. The waitresses are all super friendly, the food is delicious. We are spoiled San Diegans used to authentic Mexican street tacos from the likes of Gordos. This place rivals them in regard to authenticity and juicy goodness. This is a must stop if you are ever in the neighborhood. read more

Great food! Tacos were perfect and authentic. Service was quick and our waitress was really friendly. Definitely will come back.

By far best Mexican food around!!! Food is always great and it doesn't cost a fortune!

Just had a co worker purchased some tacos, a wet burrito and a torta from them couple hours ago. The wait time was ridiculous the women in the kitchen where goofing off and not paying attention. They accidentally made another order before his when they realized what they did they started to make the order 30 min after arriving..... To our surprise after opening the order it was completely WRONG. He called them and told them the three tacos were literally left over god knows what because it looked nothing like lengua it looked like buche and fatty pieces of meat with veins and tendons. They had nothing on them even though it was hot sauce on the side not plain tacos? The torta was supposed to be Carnitas and they made it off this wird meat that looked like lengua. He called and said he just wanted a refund for what was messed up and that he was also going to return the items. The girl on the phone said the manager was not there and she couldn't do a refund. Well he said the torta of Carnitas would be fine and instead of the wird meat they call lengua, shredded beef tacos sound better. He just came a moment ago with the smallest looking CARNITAS tacos not shredded beef. I have no Idea what happened tonight. If they were crazy busy we could of cut them some slack but the place was empty. Now we know why.... read more

We were there for a Sunday lunch. I had the catfish and my wife had a tostada. The food was mediocre, the salsa was served hot. The service was either poor (or maybe she was just inexperienced). I won't recommend going there. read more
