Unbelievable. I will take the blame as I used my credit card and didn't realize it must keep going until you turn the knob to off. I was just rinsing off my husbands truck to surprise him so thought I'd stop by this place. Didn't think too much about it til I saw my credit charge today. $20. WTH? $20 to spray my car off and the brush didn't even work? Again, taking the blame for obviously not reading the meter and assuming it was like when you put in quarters you only get so much time. I am even wondering if I paid for the next persons car wash? hahahaha. Lessons learned the hard way. I won't be going back there. read more

I agree with everything that all of the one star reviews say.... This place is the absolute worst carwash around... Mostly due to an unresponsive absentee owner who does absolutely nothing to maintain or improve this place and couldn't care any less about the paying customers that keep his business open! I have also had a run it with his landscape guy, I was just finishing a 20 minute wash on my BMW and he comes by with his leaf blower and blows dirt all over my car! I was livid but didn't say anything because I could tell the guy wasn't right in the head, however he did drive his truck there so that guy's out on the road with us! I called the number and two months later I get a missed call and a voicemail from the owner saying " I want to take of of you for the mishap so just give me a call anytime".. That's how he gets out being held accountable because he's never going to answer that phone! This derelict owner should sell the carwash or someone please start another one in town put this chump out of business!! read more

This place is awesome! The owner always keeps the wash in tip top shape. It is a perfect location to stop at when you're coming back home from Tahoe to have a fresh, clean car. I 10/10 recommend! read more

If I could give none i would. The owner or manager comes to.micro manage you while using their area. As I was looking for enough quarters to vaccum and just had cleaned out the kid debris from my car the comes up to tell me I'm taking to long. I explain that his maintenance guy was blowing and it was too loud for my son so we had to wait to do anything (the blower guy ... may have had some sort of thing going on with him bc he was making strange arm movements and come back to our car blowing around it over and over again which made my son uncomfortable. It was strange to say the least). The man starts taking pictures of my car and telling me he knows I'm not paying for anything as I'm getting money out of my bag.... lol I go to shut my rear hatch and starts saying weird stuff. Careful with this place!!! I'd rather drive to grass valley or My car was diirty we live in the country, have 3 kids and I was cleaning, vacuuming then washing and having my son do most of it as a consequence to some previous actions and to learn to take better care of things. Paid $9 for a car wash then entered to find that the automatic car was wasn't working. I called the phone number on the door and received nothing response.I will report this to my credit card company as fraud tomorrow. read more

WARNING STAY AWAY!! First off the place was filthy, and the first stall closest to the pump was out of order. After moving to thru the rest of the available stalls, NONE of the pay machines would except paper bills. I tried $10 bills and $1 bills i every stall and none of em would except. I ended up having to use a credit card which Im sure is the owners plan as it racked up $12.00 in under 8 minutes. I had just finished a 500 mile trip and wanted to get the bugs off before they hardened. I used the "pre soak" and let it sit while washed the tires. I didnt use the brush at all because it looked worn and greasy. The pressure was so weak I just gave up on the tires and switched to "high pressure soap" to wash the car. Once again weak pressure, the soap was null to void and the pre soak did absolutely nothing as the bugs were still prevalent after the wash. At this point I realized this carwash was a "wash" and just wanted to finish up as i noticed the price was already approaching the $8.00 mark. I switched to the supposed "high pressure" rinse to run out any soap (which wasn't much) before switching to "spot free rinse" at this point being optimistic that at least one thing at this place would be up to parr... I gave er a thorough rinse for a few minutes and by that time the ticker had racked up to the $12.00 mark so I stopped the wash and drove the rest of the way home. Roughly 20 miles later I park the whip, grab some belongings before heading into the house and notice all the water spots covering the vehicle. What a joke! Being a black vehicle, I'll have to will wash it first thing in the morning and hopefully prevent the spots from staining; Fingers crossed. This place was awesome when it first opened years back. I dont know what happened, but the owner should be ashamed of the way they operate a business. I will be disputing the cc charge and won't be goin back until the current owner cleans up their act. read more

Paid my money to a functioning box and went forward because the box said, "The Car Wash is Ready" and there was clearly no power to the wash machines. Do they only maintain the money taking equipment? Phone is a leave a message so there has been no human contact. read more

While sitting in my work car , fielding phone calls , apparently , I sat in the vacuum area too long ...I was approached by the owner "may I help you" very sternly ....I explained that I had just cleaned out my car and was going to vacuum and wash it, he states "yes, I know you have been here for awhile , I have been wtching you, you cant just sit here and make this your mobile office"....So,, needless to say, I didn't vacuum.or wash my car which I was going to do...I left instead ...very rude, it was all in his approach...I made sure I wasn't taking any space up for other customers, it was very unnecessary the way he talked to me... read more

Ok I have been coming here since they opened....2017 is their worst year yet...their credit machine has not worked for months now and I had to use cash which I don't carry very often but I had some this time....it didn't wash my car like the way it used to so not happy with the results!!!!! I am a regular patron of the Colfax Carwash, I own 2 SUVs, so today as I was waiting in line to clean my Car I watched as the SUV in the wash was recieving the thrple coat process. Now I understand why it is that the back of my vehicle is not getting as clean as the rest of it. The tripple coat does not cover the back end of the car. Aside from that issue I am pleased with the result. If they can fix this problem, I will be happy to come back and rerate them. read more

I don't know why I decided to give this clownshow another chance. I could've just stopped at the vastly superior car wash on Highway 49 in Auburn, but this one was right next to home. Rolled up. Spent $9 on "The Works" wash, machine told me to pull forward... and then a whole bunch of nothing. All the lights were on, but the car wash would not engage. Only thing I figured it could be were there vehicle sensors that look like they had never been cleaned or calibrated, so I wiped them off in case it just wasn't picking up my car... absolutely no change. Speaking of no change, at this point I decided the wash wouldn't work and hit the change button on the machine I paid on. That's when I realized that the change button was disabled. Called the company phone number and their voice-mail was full, same as months ago last time they stole from me. Please do not throw your money away on these thieves. They are LITERALLY robbing a small community, along with travelers returning from the mountains, little by little. read more
