I was optimistic about this company because of good reviews on Google and Yelp and Nextdoor. While…read morethe cause of my leak seems to be resolved (at least for now) it did bother me that I took the time to ask several times with the dispatcher "Taneea"(sp) and she said there was no fee to diagnose and I kept asking are you sure because in order to see where the leak is coming from my bathroom upstairs from the shower and where it settling we need to look at the pipes underneath where the drywall is and that involves cutting the ceiling drywall. And I asked her again several times if there's any charge for leak tracing or anything she was leaving out just to look and see before repairing and she said no, there's no diagnostic charge. They get here and tell me it's gonna be $125 just to cut the drywall and I just don't understand how there can be such a disparity between what I verified by phone and what I was being told now. And even if I give them the benefit of the doubt that the dispatcher was mistaken (though that's something very strange for a dispatcher who works for and represents a company to say, if not true) the fact that she did tell me that clearly, you would think to keep a customer they would stand by their own word, so not a great first impression. I still paid them $455 to change the cartridge in my shower, but they would not take five or ten minutes to cut up two 6"x6" holes in the drywall and look inside to see if there's any other extensive damage or leaking. I may just leave it for now and keep an eye for any signs of staining or moisture rather than deal with drywall repair. I still will inspect around the electrical where the ceiling fan canopy is and remove it from the ceiling to see if there's any water damage to the fan and light fixture or if it can be salvaged and still works once all is dry and I can restore power to the room. But they refused to look for any signs below to ensure there were no other signs of a leak unless I paid more. Another thing is with a large hole behind the shower faucet escutcheon where the leak occurred what's to keep another cartridge from failing and leaking right down into the room below and getting into the electrical and drywall and ruining another ceiling fan? I wish they'd have taken the time to tell me how to seal off that wall behind the faucet handle or given me suggestions but they just kind of did their job and left. They didn't offer me any advice or tips to prevent this again or set my mind at ease, and taking the time to do that would have made me feel more "taken care of" and built a rapport as a new customer. They just wanted to do the job I asked and go. So while I have no other complaints so far, they didn't go the extra mile or make me feel reassured at all for such a serious issue. It was just a "job" to cross of their list and not spend a second longer than necessary to show, discuss or reassure.

I've used Yelp Projects a few times now and I'm always impressed with how helpful it is. This time…read moreI needed help fixing a leak in my home's exterior main water line, and Yelp helped me find a few reliable plumbing companies. I received several responses with quotes, and Desert Water Plumbing and Rooter was the first company to reach out. I contacted them around 5 PM on Wednesday, and they were able to schedule a free estimate for Friday. Dan Burke showed up right on time. He was professional, efficient, and easy to talk to. Like the other companies I spoke with, he recommended repiping as the best solution for the long run. He gave me an estimate for the project and also mentioned that if the office couldn't schedule the repair on Monday, he could stop by to do a quick temporary fix to stop the leak and then come back when they could finish the job. I really appreciated that because I don't like wasting water. The price Dan quoted was also very reasonable compared to the other companies. After thinking it over, I decided to go with Desert Water Plumbing and Rooter and called the office to schedule the appointment. They weren't able to do the repipe on Monday but scheduled it for Tuesday. Dan did come by on Monday to help temporarily stop the leak. Then he and his team came back Tuesday morning and started the project. Everything went smoothly. My house now has a new pipe, no more leaking, and it feels great knowing the issue is fixed. I'm glad I found a plumbing company I can trust.

Mike arrived in less time than I could put my phone down and started the removal of the outdated tank. Dillion arrived and completed the installation of the new tank as Mike headed out to another job (this was Friday of a three-day holiday). The process was fast, professional and Dillion went out of his way to clean the area up. Desert Water Plumbing is a customer-friendly company and each of their employees are incredible to work with. I can always depend on them!

Unfortunately, I've needed them a lot lately with a 30-year-old house I bought almost 6 years ago that has had a lot of old plumbing issues. These guys have been phenomenal from the service on the first phone call all the way through to the confirmation calls, to the pre-call to let me know they're arriving soon, to the service itself, the the immediate follow up to make sure everything met my satisfaction. Every single employee I've worked with has been phenomenal, and just yesterday put icing on the cake of that statement. I thought I'd leave a review finally. Cody came out and visited us first and tested our water. He also made sure the leak was fixed very professionally, and of course everything works great now. He recommended a new whole-house filtration system since ours was old and actually doing more damage than good. Jorge and Victor came out yesterday and installed that system, and as usual, they were phenomenal. Like I said, every visit has been the best, and I would wholeheartedly recommend these guys to anyone I know, as I have done for many people already. Thank you Bumble Bee!

They are quick to respond, friendly, clean, informative - actually takes the time to explain issues and offers solutions. There is no competition when I compared their services and prices to other places I used and got quotes from. Don't look any further, choosing Forrest Anderson is the right decision.

TL;DR: I was charged $734.85 for a 10-15 minute AC repair involving a $20 part. When I asked for a…read moredetailed invoice later, and never received one for parts and labor, and to speak with the owner, I was ignored and instead lectured by the service manager, Dan. I believe I was taken advantage of. Thought you all out there should know. Full timeline: My AC stopped cooling, so I called Forrest Anderson, a company I've used for the past four years for regular service and check ups. They said a technician could come out after 5:00 PM, but that after-hours service would be time-and-a-half--$150 instead of the normal $100 service call. I was also told parts might cost slightly more. I agreed, with the understanding that we would discuss pricing once the issue was diagnosed. The technician arrived and called me about 10 minutes later (could see him on the security cameras), saying the issue was a failed dual run capacitor and that he had the part in his truck. Before authorizing the repair, I asked multiple times what the total cost would be for parts AND Labor. The first response was that "the computer isn't working," so he couldn't look it up yet. I asked again, when he called back 5 minutes later, and he said the total would be $734. When I pressed for a breakdown of parts and labor, he said he'd have to get back to me. Based on the price, I assumed this must be an expensive part or a labor-intensive repair. I was out to dinner and couldn't look it up. The technician completed the repair in about 10 more minutes and left shortly after--roughly 20 minutes total on-site. I saw them come and go with the cameras on my house, sharing updates with the technician coming and going. Afterward, when I could look up the part, I discovered the same dual run capacitor costs about $20 on Amazon, and even less from a local parts supplier. At that point, it became clear that I was charged about $500 dollars for a minimal labor job and a very inexpensive part. I trusted them when they claimed their computer was down and couldn't provide pricing details, but somehow it worked well enough to charge me $734. Had I been told the actual part cost upfront, I would have declined the repair and hired someone else at a fair price. I tried repeatedly to speak with the owner to resolve this and left messages for the owner. Instead, I received a call from Dan, the service manager, who spoke to me as though I had done something wrong simply for requesting a detailed invoice. At one point, he said over and over "you agreed to the repair". I told him that I trusted you were quoting me a fair price, and not $700 in labor, with a $20 part. He could not explain that to me, when I reminded him that the call was $150, instead of $100, and that the part was $20. He literally lectured me and kept saying that. I reminded him that I trusted them to quote me fairly. After four years as a customer, this felt deceptive and predatory. This was not a labor issue--it was a 10-minute diagnosis, a 10-minute fix, and a massive markup that relied on my trust and lack of transparency.
