Cold Stone isn't the best ice cream I've had but they do what they do well: quality texture and flavor ice cream meets gourmet possibilities and great customer service. Flavor: I've had ice cream that richer, smoother and came in kicking the door waving the 44 with more flavor. However, where they lack in flavor they make up in add-ons. While that may be a plus to some, from my perspective it masks the mediocre taste of the base itself. In my humble opinion the cake batter flavor is hands down the best and if you're going to have it, just keep it plain if you just want good ice cream. Pricing: you have the option of " like it" love it" gotta have it with the pre made creations. Prices run from around $9 for a love it or double scoop to about $12 which is a little pricey to me considering more quality ice cream I've had for lower price but ok. Flavors: You can just choose a plain ice cream base from a variety of flavors such as: sweet cream, cake batter, cookie dough, French vanilla, butter pecan and about 20 others. For the signature creations you have options such as " cake batter batter or my go to the " Founders favorite" which has the sweet cream ice cream, brownies or pound cake, fudge, caramel and I switch out pecans for almonds as I'm allergic. You can also purchase quarts to go for about $10 or whole cakes. Again, you have so many options you'll find something for your pallet and price but I'm arguing it won't be the best you've ever had. I really hate to do this but Cold Stone please do better. There's no reason why I should've opened my waffle bowls and there was a huge roach in one of them. ALIVE !!! I nearly jumped out of my skin. I've been coming to this location since it got there and never had an issue. But a roach/water bug or whatever of this size tells me all I need to know. If you are getting a waffle cone to go please check it before leaving the store. As you can see in the picture. Even though only one girl was working here alone, she managed to quickly & accurately prep all 3 of our ice cream creations. I began a search for Stone Cold Creamery's menu online in the midst of my craving for chocolate ice cream and stumbled upon the new location in Valleystream (as I was prepared to drive out to Lynbrook). I placed a take-out order and within 20 mins I found my order prepared and waiting for me in the freezer that is conveniently located in the left hand corner of the shop upon walking in-completely away from any lines or crowds of people. Usually I check my takeout bags in the car to ensure the order is correct, but when the thought occurred to me I brushed it off and said to myself - give them the benefit of the doubt. WRONG MOVE. Ordered a "Chocolate Devotion in a Waffle Bowl"-got it in a cup. Still wondering where the waffle bowl is. The ice cream was actually delicious and would have been terrific had it been in the waffle cup. Also ordered a "Mint Mint Chocolate and Chocolate Chips" in a cup. The ice cream was green and there was no trace of mint flavor anywhere. Plenty of chocolate chips and what appeared to be bits brownie. Soooo, I may try this location once more, but ordering inside so that I can watch my order as it's being made. When they get my order right and the ice cream tastes like it's supposed to, I will increase the number of stars in my rating. Check ya bags before you leave folks! read more

I did not know that they were open late so driving down sunrise I after a Yelp event I passed by another Cold Stone and checked the time and was like 11. It was only 9 I could definitely make it. About to turn around and after I remembered there was a Coldstone in the Mall area kept driving and Popped right in. Went to the register and found that not only was it open late; it was also busy in there on a cold December night. I was first thank goodness and I got exactly what I wanted and ran outta there. I got a like it and I loved it- lol. I got Peanut buttercup perfection. To go. I had to confess to my kids the next day bc I ate it in the car. I parked right out front and was delighted to get a little coupon but it wasn't useful for what I was getting. I'm glad it's here and the guy working in there is cool. read more

I came here to try this new location! I didn't even know that they made one but I am so happy they did. There is ample parking which is amazing. The staff was nice and they had so many flavors. The prices are higher than most ice cream parlors but you are paying for quality. The place is clean and brand new. I highly recommend this location for some ice cream. Please give them a shot! Ordered Uber eats was charged when the Uber driver got there they decided to inform him that they didn't have anymore after waiting for 40 min then after that had to cancel was charged $50 for cancellation had to call Uber to get the amount I was charged... Just picked up a large round Signature cake from here, and was quite impressed. The shop is clean, neat and organized. They have quite a variety of ready made cakes to choose from or you can order in advance. No time to do that now. This was fast and easy. Naomi even suggested I sign up for rewards online so I'll get $$ off additional purchases. Thanks Naomi! All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. In addition, the writing on the cake was very neat. I even used the $3 check in coupon. The hardest part was deciding which cake to purchase. Decided on the new Oreo Cookies and Cream Extreme because it's for a teenager who loves cookies and cream ice cream. It looked delicious. The party isn't till tomorrow, but I'm sure the cake will be a hit. Not so sure about the rest of the food! LOL read more

I've been to coldstone a number of times, so I think I have enough experience with them for a review. The ice cream is the run of the mill coldstone. However..... the staff leaves something to be desired. By no means do I want them to sing us a song and to tricks. That's insanity. But for some reason it feels as though you're a bother when you go to order. My last experience with them was definitely the best! I ran in for a cake, and was able to leave in a matter on 2-3 mins. The cashier was so sweet and genuinely kind, that I was almost surprised, given my previous experience with the location. It's not open super late (please don't be the people that walk in at 11:58pm... when they close at 12) But they're good for what it's worth and definitely get there when it's less busy, your ice cream won't melt as quickly. read more

I love coldstone. I went to the Green Acres location for the first time. I ordered my usual "love it" sweet cream with chocolate sprinkles. I had someone pick it up who is no familiar with them. I received a "like it" cup with ice cream INSIDE of a love it. Buy it was like it amount not love it. She was told so "the ice cream doesn't spill over ". Uhm no that's what the lid is for. I'm tired of seeing people at work on their phones. Especially when you're dealing with food. Phones are so dirty; so to be handling your phone and then put it down to serve food is disgusting. The young lady who was in the front clearly didn't want to be at work. She didn't greet despite me saying "Hello" and she was occupied with her phone. So today Jan 6th 2022was supposed to be a very important birthday remind you I had ordered my cake 3 days prior to this so it would be ready on time. So I walk into the store and ask for my order. Lady working there says that the manager had forgot to make my order. I was so angers and when I asked to speak to the manager he was not there hi name might have been sunny. The lady says that he is not in the shop. We get the manager on the phone he says that the person making the cake aka him had got " covid" and tried finding some one new but forgot to tell us. AGAIN THE MANGER WAS SUPPOSED TO MAKE THE CAKE NOT ANY ONE ELSE. THIS MAN TOLD MANY LIES TO US.
