Went in earlier today (2/4/17) and both of the employees were completely horrible. Neither one had a personality, they didn't make the experience nice at all. Plus they charged me twice for extra mix ins. I was so irritated with their bad customer service I didn't even want to go back and complain about the extra charge. I'm a fan of this location for two reasons: 1) childhood memories 2) generous servings. Bonus: staff is super nice and friendly and eager to help you out. If you tip them, maybe they will sing. Maybe they won't! You never know ;) Coldstone is great when you are craving ice cream with a long list of toppings. I ordered the Strawberry Blonde and it was perfect. If you ask for a larger cup, they won't charge you extra.. It just eliminates the extra drippings. Do it! Can't go wrong with some good ice cream! Only drawback is parking. The parking lot is shared by many businesses plus Target. The parking lot isn't big enough to hold the population that comes through here. Most likely you will need to park in the back by Core Power or drive around to find a spot. All depends on the time and day you come. read more

OK, so Cold Stone used to be a place where you could easily embarrass the staff by giving them a tip. They'd have to hollar for a dollar and all. It also used to feature a creation called Bonnie's Snowball.. it was a magical combination of chocolate ice cream, brownies, coconut and marshmallow creme. Alas, those days are long gone.. Cold Stone has gone from an ice cream store with a neighborhood feel to an ice cream store with a corporate feel. Now, don't get me wrong, their ice cream creations still rock and I'm a fan. I just miss the good old days when you could walk in and say "Bonnie's Snow Ball, please" and they'd know what you mean. Now, all I get is blank stares from these young whipper snappers! But anywho... this location is great, they know what they're doing and you always leave happy with a party in your tummy... so yummy, so yummy! read more

I don't understand all of these complaints. 1. Service is bad.. Well most employees at ice cream shops are in high school. They go to school 5 days a week and let's be honest... They're in freaking high school. Get over it. 2. It's really busy... Umm... Go to another Cold Stone??? I'm 30, married and have a four year old. I'm not a fellow coworker standing up for this business and it's employees because I'm a peer. I just think that expectations are too high. Honestly, it's an ice cream joint not Nordstrom. I love Cold Stone Creamery and this is the store closest to me. HOWEVER, I often find that they do not mix the ingredients as well as other stores do, they dont always listen to you when you ask for a certain size and some of the people are not as tidy as others when putting it all together which then means that you get ice cream dripping on to your shoes as you try and eat it! Still. The love of ice cream and the location will bring me back here hence the three stars. read more

If you've never been to a coldstone before, it's delicious, rich, made-in-the-store ice cream where they actually mix the ingredients in for you instead of just putting them on top. You can get one of their "signature creations" or make up your own. I usually get a founder's favorite but substitute rainbow sprinkles for the pecans. This particular location is great, the employees are attentive and the store itself is clean. There's not a lot of seating inside, but the little tables out front are nice when it's not too hot. No bathroom, but Target's right next door. Stop by if you're in the mood for something sweet! read more

Cold stone is the BEST! I love coming in here there is no place like this creamery! Well I mean besides the other chains I love their flavors here. My husband and I always get the coffee ice cream and we add chocolate brownies in it. It's amazing. I also sometimes get the birthday cake remix, or the chocolate devotion. Most of the time I am just a fatass and get whatever I feel like i'm craving which is usually mint or chocolate. The staff here is always friendly. read more

She straight up stole my mix-ins: Went in and no one was behind me. Ordered an "ours" togo, and when she packed it up there was still some ice cream on the stone. This blonde did not mix it well and loaded up my container with the plain ice cream and left a mound of ice cream (mostly the mix-ins) on the stone. When I was paying I asked if she was going to just toss the rest bc there was a love it size still there. She offered to send it home with me and I said that would be very nice, and thanked her. She went back, put it in a love it with a lid and walked straight to the back. I worked at Cold Stone and know that's going straight home with her tonight, she stashed that in the freezer in the back for herself. Cold Stone is by far the best place for great ice cream. They have so many different toppings and ice cream to choose from. They have yummy shakes too. It can be a little expensive, but if you don't go everyday then it is a nice little treat. My hubby and I usually go right before we go to the movies. If you love ice cream then Cold Stone is the place for you. read more

I really don't understand why when you walk into a place, they don't greet you with at least a simple "Hello"? The person working at the counter acted as if he had no personality or life in his approach to help us. Then he slopped my ice cream in my cup to where it was pouring over the sides.. Wow - What a difference I have seen in this place in the past year. I have to admit that I am an ice cream snob and I love Cold Stone because it is completely customized ice cream as I want it - and they make their ice cream fresh in the store - but I did not always go to this location all the time - I recently went back and was amazed at the transformation - the store is cleaner, the employees are wearing uniforms and are friendly and they have a lot more than just ice cream - Fro Yo (Frozen Yogurt) funnel cakes and churros and smoothies!! This used to be my favorite ice cream place but has been disappointing lately. I went there today and the girl working looked very unhappy and barely mixed me or my girlfriends creations together, causing me to get a mouthful of all peanut butter and her only crumpled oreo. The last few times before that the employee was either rude, touched my ice cream directly without wearing gloves or washing his hands and handling money directly berfore or they, or they were chatting with eachother or friends visitng them and barely paying attention to the PAYING customers. Bad customer service skills. My child got a like it portion and accidentally ask for the wrong mix. Instead of saying let me get you a new one. it was too bad you'll have to pay for it. Retrain your staff to gain more customers. I have been a loyal customer with other locations and this by far got me all mad. read more

Another thing I have missed while abroad... Cold Stone ice cream! I think I like Cold Stone because I like my ice cream a little on the soft, melty side and after they get finished mixing toppings into it, it is just right. I do think Cold Stone is expensive and I almost never go above the 'like it' size because I find the ice cream to be very rich. I have to say that this location is not my favourite... just felt like the energy of the place was not there and they were quite sloppy with the mixing and then putting the ice cream in a cup. Since there are loads of them, I'm sure I won't have trouble finding a different location to fulfill my ice cream cravings. read more

They no longer have Vanilla Bean! Super bummed about that! But their ice cream is still delicious! So I always do half vanilla bean (if they have it) and half coffee. This is always my order and I've never come across a problem until this location. One gal served me my ice creams not mixed. I shrugged it off assuming she was probably new, and asked kindly if she could mix the two. She copped an attitude like it was too much of a hassle for her to do her job, and to top it off she commented "This is how we always serve our ice cream when it's two flavors." I wouldn't have minded if she hadn't commented on somehow I was in the wrong for mixing my ice creams. Cold Stone is pretty well know for the Mix-Ins and have always had my two flavors mixed. This is one of the busier shops ive been to and I'm assuming it's bc there's a target about 100 feet away. Service could def be better, a little slow, but my order always comes out right. I'm hoping that maybe they can also update the tables and chairs bc the interior is a little run down. read more

There is a big change here! this place was alway pretty good - but the store looks cleaner, the staff friendly and the have this hot cookie thing that is amazing! We went in here to buy a cake and ended up ordering a pie and cupcakes - they were great, but we left our credit card on the table and the employee found us on facebook and called us to let us know. What service! I asked what changed and they said someone else bought the place. I love cold stone ice cream. I like how they can mix all the items together and basically customize the ice cream exactly how I like. The blend all the items into the ice cream. This store is smaller than the other Cold Stones I have been to but thats ok. The parking can be a challenge, because it seems to always be crowded. Especially with Target right next door. Went there last Sunday and will not be back. Employer there put our daughter's ice cream on cone and put about five chocolate chips on top of the ice cream. When we inquired as to why he wasn't mixing them in (this is a "mix in" place after all), he told us he wasn't going to mix the chocolate chips in with the ice cream because it was "too hard" to do so. My husband asked if he really said it was too hard to do his job and he said no. My husband said, you did say that and he said "Oh, sorry.". Since when is it too hard to do your job? My son and I had the best service today. It's very hard to find good customer service. Oh my gosh, this man was unbelievably nice. So sweet! He was by himself and was patient with all of the people coming in on this warm afternoon. He had all of the customers laughing and smiling. Please do not ever let this employee go! I ordered an ice cream cake from here for my son's birthday. I called the morning before the day of pickup to confirm and to let them know that my son has nut allergy. I asked if they can handle the cake carefully and not contaminate with nuts, but the manager/owner could not guarantee it. I asked to cancel the order because I cannot risk it. The telephone call transpired more than 24 hours before pick up. I even went to the store after my work to make sure it was cancelled. I received an email that they processed the refund, with the manager's note stating: "Customer no longer wants order: Customer called the store to cancel order. We agreed to refund despite the fact that we built the cake and wrote on it." Ha! He never informed me that they built the cake and wrote on it. I gave them ample time... more than 24 hours notice to cancel the order. I will never support this untrustworthy business. Be careful when you order and decide to cancel. read more

There are always issues at the Poway coldstone. They constantly jip you on size. I just bought a gotta have it but it was more like a medium. It didn't even fill the cup. i complained and they didn't fix it. You will not get your money here or even what you are supposed to get ounce wise. Stay away from poway coldstone! Took my 4 yr old grandson to this location to get some relief from the 97 degree afternoon. It was hotter inside the store than outside. Not an exaggeration. His ice cream melted completely before he was halfway done. The inside chairs were too hot for him to sit on. Such a disappointment for his special treat. read more
