I was so surprised seeing all the bad reviews for this cold stone so I had to write my own. I love this cold stone. The service I get here is always the best whoever I get. I will say they do leave the front unattended sometimes but that's usually because they're in the restroom, or in the back freezer. Just call out a "Hello" and they'll be right with you. They always give an abundance of ice cream in my cup unlike other locations. I can no longer go to the Central Ave Yonkers Coldstone because I am always just so disappointed with the amount I get, they've spoiled me here at Pleasantville. Horrible service once they give the ice cream to the Uber or DoorDash they relieve themselves of the responsibility they make you call Uber or DoorDash and take it up with them. No customer service no follow up pretty nasty on the phone. After ordering the non dairy ice cream, which was labeled backwards with the chocolate and non-dairy chocolate, the worker scooped the regular chocolate. After asking once again whether the ice cream was non/dairy, the worker got upset and said that we had to get the regular chocolate anyway. We then ordered a second ice cream in order to get the non-dairy which we already did not want to have to do. My roommate worked at this location when I went to undergrad at Pace University, so I got a lot of free ice cream. However, when I did pay for it, it was definitely pricey. The smallest size - "like it" - runs for a little over $5. You could get a gallon of ice cream from the supermarket for that price. It's overpriced, but which ice cream shop isn't? I got the apple pie apple. Surprisingly, it resembled an apple pie. The brown sugar and cinnamon outer layer tasted very similar to an apple pie crust and it was simply delicious. The white confection was just added to give another layer of sweetness and displayed a contrast of color. And of course, the first layer is caramel and who doesn't like caramel? This was pretty expensive too, but I wouldn't go out of my way to make caramel apples at home so this was my splurge for the day and it was well worth it. read more

The staff here is great. Typically high school or college kids. They work hard and are very nice. Make sure you tip them. I love the peanut butter perfection ice cream. I love peanut butter and chocolate. My suggestion would be to add gram crackers to the perfection. It is great. read more

The girls working tonight spent more time talking rather than helping customers. There were two working and only one helping customers. The other appeared to be doing closing work. I waited on line for 45 minutes with about 8 people (4 parties) in front of me. They were regularly pausing making ice cream and helping customers to talk to each other. Would give it four stars if the staff improved their attitude a bit... and the place seems a bit on the dirty side but has that strong cheap cleaning solution mixed in... could do better with the overall set up within this place, cleanliness, and staff morale. For example, asked about waffle cones they said they had one left and the shop was not set to close for another hour or so. I usually never make reviews but this was beyond terrible. My boyfriend and I went to get a simple ice cream order. When the women made my ice cream she didn't bother to clean off the station so my chocolate ice cream with brownies now became a vanilla bean ice cream with chocolate chips and best of all walnuts (I'm allergic to tree nuts). It's overall ridiculous that I had surprise mix in that could have been very dangerous for me but she didn't fill up the ice cream to even the rim of the cup it was below what it should have been or what it usually is a bit of a cheap rip off. Lastly we pay for our ice cream when she gives my boyfriend back his change she picks up the tip jar and then slams it down infront of him(very aggressive) It was a bit shocking since I've worked in food service for years and that was not a way to get a tip and how slow she was going (which usually doesn't bother me) she didn't really deserved a tip. A bit shocked and I'm defiantly going to carvel for now on. Please clean you work station before serving new food. read more
