I really enjoy Cold Stone ice cream. My "usual" is the Coffee Lover's Favorite. I was really looking forward to enjoying some good stuff with my Yelp deal. However, I didn't walk away with my ice cream on a good note. Cold Stone is on the second floor and connected to Wetzel's Pretzels. The girl with the long hair greeted us and was very patient with us, since we took a while trying to decide what to share amongst our party of 4. When a customer showed up behind us, she was still patient and waited for us to order. On Mondays, sundaes are $1, so we decided with the churro sundae. She informed us that sundaes take a little longer to make - I'm thinking it was the churro that needed to be toasted. When we finished ordering and she gave us our signature ice cream (mint mint chocoloate chocolate chip), she had some trouble with putting in the yelp code. What I really didn't like was the manager's attitude. She asked for his help, since she had another customer waiting in line. He lost his temper and roughly showed her how to process the yelp deal - this was all in the face of his customers. I was standing less than 2 feet away. Furthermore, when I wanted stamps on my stamp card, he disrespectfully asked me "what did you get". Then a second later, before I could respond, he asked the girl "what did they get" without turning to look at her. He was very impatient, rude, and careless. He made me lose my appetite for some good ice cream. I felt so sorry for that girl having to deal with him, and I never want to come back to support this guy's business. read more

Went to this location today in the Westfield mall and was very disappointed. The glass ice cream case was broken and taped Together with scotch tape (see photo). I'm almost sure this is a health code violation. No one likes glass shards in their ice cream. So I decided instead of getting ice cream for my birthday which is what I drove here for I went with a lemonade from next door. The chrome trash can was also covered in old ice cream and was disgusting. read more

Absolutely Terrible Service from start to finish. I asked for a suggestion and Elizabeth responded in a rude tone to pick whatever I felt like. When I decided on picking two flavors , she didn't ask if I wanted any toppings , which I did, and once I proceeded to ask for toppings she said it was too late and she wouldn't be able to mix it in with what I wanted . We decided we wanted to give this cold stone another chance and we were disappointed. First of all, additional "mix-ins" are now $1.29 EACH or you kidding me?! Secondly, the girl did a bad job of "MIXING them in", she barely added any strawberries and one of the strawberries fell on the stone when putting it into the cup and rather than adding it to my cup she just left it there. She offered my sister a bigger cup to avoid a mess but I get mine and ice cream was melting over the edges. Here's some advice for improved customer service: STAY CONSISTENT with how you treat people in the same group, you offer something to one offer it to the other. Also, if you can't do a better job of mixing toppings in, work on your arm strength so you can actually do your job! read more

Never again. I preordered a cake from this Cold Stone location last week for a surprise birthday, but had the worst communication with the staff in terms of contacting them about the pick up of the cake. I called several times, the first time someone picked up and said "Cold Stone, how may I help you" and I told them about the cake I preorder and they put me on hold and never came back, second time they answered then hung up right after I asked about the cake I wanted to pick up, then they stopped picking up the phone and would intermittently pick up to hang up again. FYI, this location closes at 8pm and not 9pm. They're also located in the mall. I would suggest the other Cold Stone location which has 4 stars in Palm Desert and closes later. Cold stone is my favorite ice cream store. But today I feel sick after ordering my usual order which is Large cup with almonds, strawberries and marshmallows. I knew it from the start that the strawberries are not fresh. But i ignore and give it a benefit of the doubt. I didnt even finish my order because the strawberries are old and has some after taste. My tummy is starting to hurt so i stop. I am so disappointed and sad. I paid 6.59 for stomach ache. Also the store is not clean. I didnt take a pic since I'm excited for the ice cream. read more
