Ice cream - The ice cream was sweet and delicious, just as one would expect from ice cream. The flavors were accurate. Atmosphere - No strange or strong odors or smells. No music playing when I visited. I liked that. I prefer no music over loud music. I don't like loud music. It's hard to hear with loud music. I did not visit the restroom. Pleasant temperature inside. I have been to some places where it's been hot or cold. No other customers were inside when I visited. I liked that because it made it easier to quickly order and leave. Service - There was one employee I could see. Probably more in the back. The service here was a bit slow despite no customers. Order at the ice cream area and pay at the register like typical ice cream shops. Self seating. It's interesting that people seem to expect that the employees at any shop are smiling and taking a lot about anything to make small talk or random conversation as to appear friendly. Parking - Surface parking lot. No parking meter or parking structures or solar panels. Unique - Nothing to add here at this time. Saw a good health rating on Yelp. The counter had several flavors of dried ice cream on it and the indoor tables were also dirty. Absolutely amazing! Unfortunately for years, I used to be a customer of Baskin Robbins. Until recently, when I had ordered a custom cake and BNR had messed it up and refused to make it right. So, I took a gamble and ordered Cold Stone. Wow, what took me so long?!?! The custom cake I ordered was ready on time and It was exactly what I had ordered! The lady was so professional and courteous!!! I used to think I was lactose intolerant. That was when I would order from BNR. I now doubt that I am as the cold stone cake did not make me sick! My only complaint is, I didn't order more! It was absolutely delicious and everybody raved how great this cake was!! I will be back!!! I would give zero stars if i could. I never write reviews but my experience last night was unbelievable. The store closes at 10:00 pm and I came in at 9:45. I asked the worker with the green hair if she could mix cookie dough in my ice cream and she said she couldn't because she just cleaned the stone. I asked her if she could mix it anywhere else and she straight up said "I could if you want it to taste like soap" SO RUDE. Change your closing time to 9:45 then if you don't want to properly serve customers and get annoyed. Not to mention I was trying to think of something else i wanted and she rudely said to the person behind me "i can help you if you know what you want" you can just tell she wanted to leave. I ordered a birthday cake and I am extremely disappointed with the results. The frosting is uneven and lumpy, the writing on the cake is not centered and doesn't look great, the chocolate shavings are unevenly distributed... Just look at the photos, this is an unsatisfactory birthday cake! My husband and I considered going out to get a different cake for guests. This cost nearly $30!!! And it looks terrible. Tried to call to make an update to a delivery order but they don't ever answer the phone.

I have ordered from this location on 3 different occasions (door dash & pickup), signature creations Oreo overload (sweet cream ice cream, fudge, chocolate chips and Oreos) 2 times (gotta have it) had no chocolate chips, the 3rd time (love it) paid extra for chocolate chips to make sure they were included and was lucky if there was 1 Oreo cookie mixed in?!? Nothing beats a chocolate devotions ice cream on a HOT SUMMER DAY in AZ. Its the combination of the chocolate ice cream with choco chips, brownies and fudge and served with chocolate covered almonds waffle that make is SOOOO GOOD! I won't say no for an ice cream in 100 degrees weather like we are having right now. Really is a guilty pleasures! Although the ice cream was very good, they need to put a sign for the location though. It was hard to find this place and I had to drive all around the Fry's just to look for it. I like Coldstone...make that LOVE, but this place could definitely do with a few grown-up people at the counter. Last night I went down there for a post-dinner dessert fix. It was around 9, and there was just one person ahead of me in the line, and a group of about 5 teens at the cashier's. There were only two people manning the counter at the time, including the cashier. And both were teenagers. One of them was obviously friends with the group of teens, and they kept chatting and taking their sweet time to bill those people. Neither of the girls at the counter made eye contact or smiled, leave alone greeted me when I walked in, and it was a good 15 minutes before I got to place my order, despite the place being so empty! I got some coupons for this location so I headed out to find it and it's kinda tucked back behind some other buildings so it was a little hard to find. However, I think that was a good thing because it seems like this location is very busy unlike my normal location at Signal Butte and Baseline. This location also has 2 lines setup with mix-ins to handle more customers at a time. They are friendly and the place is clean. It is everything you would expect from a Cold Stone! read more

I spent $50 on an ice cream cake for my daughter's fifth birthday party. The day that I picked it up, the girl at the front told me that there was a problem with the cake. When they put the plastic cover on the cake it, it squished one side. I asked the girl if she could fix it up or do something and she said all she could do was put it any bigger cake box. That would not solve my problem. I asked for a discount and she said no. They should have fixed the cake when they squished it. I will not go back again! read more

We love cold stone and this is the only one near us so we go to it, but not as often as we would like. My fiancé and I have two main complaints as to why they don't earn 5 stars. Their scoop levels: this is the only cold stone where the ice cream fully mixed barely reaches the lid. We're used to it making a nice little dome over. Their mixing: it's awful, we both get creations and they barely mix it up. I always have to ask them to "mix it well" and I'm lucky if they do. Positives: they're usually consistent with mix-in amounts. Yes, they're always high school kids, but usually pretty friendly. read more

We no longer frequent this location... I have been to Cold Stones all over the country and never once have I run into a franchise that refuses to give a scoop of ice cream that is taller than the cup. This location will level off your dessert so that it is flush with the top of the cup. They will not give you more than this. This is after me and several of my family members have been back many times, so it is not just one employee or experience. The last time we went, we made a comment about it and explained how other locations do not do this. Their response? "Well, those locations aren't doing their jobs!" Explain to me why the lids that go on top of the cups are in the shape of a bubble to accommodate a hill of ice cream? If Cold Stone is not allowed to give a scoop taller than the cup, why would their lids be round instead of flat? And why do they only sprinkle a couple of toppings into your ice cream? The bottom line is that this location is WAY too stingy. Why would I pay $6-$8 for a small, leveled-off scoop of ice cream with minimal toppings when I can go down the street and not get ripped off (as much)? And then you ask for a tip? read more

Worst service & time waiting for my drink. Sadly, they definitely do not know how to make their drinks. My husband ordered 2 frappe & 2 like it ice cream cup. I was in the car waiting for my husband with our kids. It had been 20 minutes passed & I can see the door to the store that 3 families came in with kids left with ice cream. Soon 2 more customers came in & left as well. I can see from the window my husband got up 3x to go to the register. So I decided to go inside to investigate the reason for the long wait. All my husband was waiting for was the second cup of frappe. The server explained "oh I am sorry we were out of the powder & the other server wasn't sure were to go get it." So they decided to just post pone our order & served 8+ people while our ice cream melted in the bag. All I wanted was a refund & the server couldn't refund me correctly because she was searching for my receipt & has to call her manager for approval on the phone. I'm sad to give such a poor review, but my treat has consistently been less than satisfactory. A "like it" size (the smallest) with 2 tablespoon size mix-ins, in a plain waffle cone/bowl typically runs me over $6. I never used to pay attention to that, but my husband would get so annoyed with how pricey it is. With that in mind, my attitude started to change in regards to, "if I'm paying this kind of money for a one-time (meaning there are never leftovers) treat, it should be top-quality" --the amount of ice cream is too small for the price. The amount they charge per stale mix-in (tablespoon size) is overpriced and then to add insult to injury, my plain waffle cone/bowl is without fail always hard and stale ruining the entire experience. It's very frustrating. I used to go all the time, but was getting very tired of taking the risk of getting a stale, yucky tasting treat. So I'd go every so often and hope "this time Id get a good one" nope. I even threw my last two away. My money is good, my product should be too. read more

Oh boy where do I start? Stopped in here around 4 on a weekday. There was only one lady working who claimed she "just bought the place" and the "kids" usually work there and know what they are doing but she was there alone. There was a family of four in front of me, two people in front of them, and 3 people waiting behind me. She had NO IDEA what she was doing! The people in front of me ordered their creations (or whatever they are called) and she did not know what went in them and kept having to read the ingredients multiple times. It took her at least 15 minutes if not longer to make two cups of ice cream. I ordered the no sugar ice cream which tasted as if it had been sitting there for months. So, finally after about 20 minutes or so, we got to sit down to some of the worst ice cream after some of the slowest service I've ever seen. The employee forgot to put the almonds The service was extremely slow and when I finally got my shake it was no thicker than chocolate milk. Unfortunately was in a hurry so I had to take what I got. This place is AWEFUL and has BAD SERVICE! I went there on Sat, 09/24 to get 2 Love Its. When it came to checking out, the cashier behind the counter didn't have a clue at what he was doing. He was checking out a lady who apparently gave him several gift cards. He run her up and apparently something wasn't right, so the order had to be voided and rerun. He asked for assistance from a young lady in blue top who I guess was a lead or supervisor. They both chit chatted for a couple of minutes. In the meantime there are more people needing to be checked out and my ice cream was sitting on the counter melting as my order was to go. I suggested maybe they should open another register to check people out, but was ignored. Eventually the guy figured out what the heck he was doling and finished ringing up the lady; and then run up guy in front of me. My turn finally after waiting in line 15 minutes. I informed him that they should at least re make my ice cream since it was melted, but he didn't even offer, just put the ice cream in the bag and I left so very furious. This is the worst service I have every seen in this place. I have worked Retail for over 14 years and I know when there is a line of people you need to call for backup and open up another register. It is all about customer service, not just mixing up customer ice cream creation, but checking them out as well. There were a 4 employees, 2 guys and 2 ladies. If they can't seem to do there job correctly, then either they need to be retrained or maybe someone else should be working there. read more
