This place used to be my favorite childhood ice cream spot. I haven't come here in months in the one time I decided to come the ice cream was half melted in behind the glass on top of that it felt like a sauna inside. And to add onto that, the workers were super slow. I could've given birth the five kids and traveled the Earth five times before I got my ice cream. I ordered the chocolate devotion which has fudge brownie and chocolate chips and I only got chocolate chips and chocolate ice cream what a waste of almost $20 do not come back or you are wasting your money. Maybe it was an off night, but it had a weird musty smell inside and there were flies everywhere. I ordered something that I thought was supposed to be Reese's, but the peanut butter tasted very weird and the ice cream was freezer burned, from what it tasted like. We have been 4 times now since we have moved here last year (2016) in April. The shop is small and located between the party shop and Vietnamese restaurant in the same plaza with Michael's and Lane Bryant. The staff has always been friendly. Due to its size it has about 8 or so tables indoors but plenty of outdoor seating as well. Plenty of flavors to choose from, including 3-4 non-dairy choices. You pick your flavor, then they mix in your toppings. You can even get it made in pints and half-gallons of any mix you want to take home. Fun for kids to watch, have never had a bad flavor ice cream, or a bad experience. It's good quality, expect to pay more than Dairy Queen, it tastes far better. read more

Cold Stone is always delicious and this one is no exception. There usually is a little bit of a line whenever I visit, but what do you expect when it's the only good ice cream shop in Jacksonville? The longest I've waited was 20 minutes for my "like it". The other day a friend and I got there about 5 minutes before they closed and they already had the closed sign up and the doors locked. We screamed through the door that it wasn't 10 p.m. yet and the workers reluctantly opened the door. All I wanted was more chocolate fudge on my Lava Meltdown, and all I got was dirty looks from the girl who helped me. She would look at me and not even approach me, or ask what I wanted. I ordered a cake for Father's Day online to be picked up at noon on Father's Day. It was a peanut butter playground ice cream cake. It is my husband's favorite and I have been ordering if for years from Cold Stones across the country. The cake was ready on time; pick up was easy. When we got the cake home we discovered that instead of a middle ice cream layer in the cake, it had a double layer of peanut butter. It was over an INCH of solid peanut butter in the center with NO ice cream. We had to use steak knives to cut through peanut butter. Without ice cream, the cake was NOT good. The dog ended up getting it! When I notified the store of the problem they told me they would be sure to talk with the girl who made the cake and she offered me a free like it creation. This was a $35 cake that was not acceptable. Off to find a new cake place. read more
