So, Saturday June 25th my mom & I decided to get ice cream from Cold Stone Creamery. We, haven't been to Cold Stone Creamery in a long while. Cold Stone Creamery is in the Trader's Point area, an area that used to be booming, but AMC movie theater as well as pizza restaurant Monical's are still in the Trader's Point area keep it alive. Walking into the Cold Stone Creamery building there are no stairs, small patio seating area outside, as well as small seating area inside. Once, inside the ice cream shop it smells so freaking good. Like, just by smelling all the delicious sweet treats you'll probably gain 10lbs. Ha! I ordered my favorite which was the delicious chocolate devotion it's made with chocolate ice cream, chocolate chips, and hot fudge. It was so gooey, chocolaty, and just delicious for a chocolate lover. My mom had a plain cheesecake cake ice in a dish, that was sweet, tasted just like a cheesecake, and also delicious. Nonetheless, if you're in the Trader's Point area make sure you checkout Cold Stone Creamery for some delicious sweet treats.

After lunch, my wife and I decided to treat ourselves to ice cream for dessert. Fortunately, there was a Cold Stone Creamery two doors away! I usually don't go to chain restaurants for ice cream, but since we were mere feet away, it seemed okay to give the place a try. The entrance has some small tables between the door and the order counter. Where the line begins is a nice display board that lists the favorite combinations along with ingredients and photos. That sure helped! The ice cream is displayed in stainless steel bins instead of the round paper cooler/barrels that I've seen at most homemade shops. What I liked was that when I placed my order for the Banana Caramel Crunch, the server grabbed a scoop and smashed it on a chilled prep surface, then proceeded to add the chopped banana, drizzle the caramel and add some crunchy stuff (???) before folding it together to mix it up....right there in front of me! I went with the smaller size in a cup and it was really good. My wife went with the Strawberry Blonde option and liked having real strawberries added to the base ice cream, graham cracker, caramel, and whipped cream. She thought it her favorite ice cream ever from a chain...another league than DQ (and of course, another price range.) Sure, you can have ice cream at home, but this was really good and creamy in texture and the flavor combos make me think I should put a little bit more effort into treating myself to the sweet things in life. Ice cream was awesome as always!! The customer service was lacking compared to what I know cold stone expects. Has a former employee (not this location) cold stone is based on huge amount of customer engagement and going above which they did not do at all. It was more here's your ice cream and get out. From working the job for 5+years that are also shorting you on ice cream for sure. I would go to a different location then this one. It's also weird how the I don't want to say child but child not in uniform is the only one ringing up orders no one else was aloud to go near the register.

    Chocolate with brownie. Yum!

Yummy ice cream! I've only ever tried the chocolate + brownies combo and I'm a fan. I go for the small size, and that's plenty for me. Cold Stone can serve large portions. I expected the ice cream to be colder (and hence firmer) but it wasn't like soft serve. Nonetheless delish!

Like It sized Founder's Choice in a Chocolate and Sprinkled dipped waffle bowl! YUM!

Such a classic in the ice cream world. I enjoy the texture and the flavors. The inside could use some cleaning up, but it's not terrible.

It is small, but the magic and atmosphere are just as big as the Carmel location! I got my usual pick 2 combo of the chicken salad sandwich and the tomato soup. We each got our own pot of tea. I do miss the larger pots they had a couple years ago, but the smaller pot is good for one person. I finished off my meal with the earl's court cake! It's my favorite and always tastes good later on too! And of course service was phenomenal! Our server was so lovely!

That could not be more true. We both did Pick Two: I got a chicken salad sandwich and my mother got a turkey and cheese both with the soup of the day which was butternut squash. Soup was OK, sandwiches were OK. I got a side of chips (not made in-house) for $3. My daughter was upset when we arrived bc she was napping in the car and she proceeded to cry for about the first 10 minutes so, I walked around with her to calm her before I sat down since it's so cramped to try not to disturb everyone else. She was not happy the entire time so we were trying to calm her and feed her. Cake slices and cheesecake are $17-20 each. They're large but other reviews say dry and taste old. That's pricey. We skipped dessert at those prices based on the quality of the rest of our meal... I got an $8 peppermint mocha which was good but, served in the smallest teacup imaginable. It's extremely small inside. Like, uncomfortable. Granted, I had a lot of items with my baby and her and we were seated at a table for two with her in my lap but it was close quarters and the waitresses were squeezing between the chairs to walk around. They have about 6 tables inside with a small event private room in back. Our waitress was kind but, the manager or owner was off-putting. She went to every single table seated except ours to ask how their meal was and experience and, when time to pay, she wanted to personally ring me up to ensure we left in a hurry. I get it, some places are not meant for babies, but, since it's billed specifically to kids, I thought this was. Nope, I was wrong. (She's 19 months - so, too young for this bougie of an establishment clearly) I would not come back at all unless it was for my, older daughter to have a birthday cake experience and get a couple cute pics. As far as instagram-worthy goes, they know what they're doing. As far as quality of food. It's like a 2.5 stars. I wish we'd waited and walked into the larger one in Carmel and just shopped and got some cookies to go!

I found A Smudge Sweeter on Instagram, and after admiring all of their beautiful, custom desserts, I sent a message. The owner responded quickly and was able to make 50 cake pops for our party with only a week's notice. Not only did she make cake pops, but they were intricate, incredibly-themed cake pops that brought a lot of fun to our event. The party was right before Thanksgiving, so the cake pops had fun toppers that looked like turkeys, footballs, autumn leaves, etc. They were also delicious, which is sometimes hard to do when they're that beautiful too. You can now order dessert tasting platters from this business, which is definitely the next thing I want to try!
