She's incredibly patient, even when I couldn't decide between flavors, and she offered great suggestions that actually matched what I was in the mood for. You can tell she takes pride in her work -- the ice cream was mixed perfectly, presentation was on point, and she handled a busy line with complete professionalism. It's rare to find someone who makes customer service feel so genuine, but Paris does exactly that. If you stop by, I highly recommend asking for her. My favorite ice cream shop located in my neighborhood. I love all the creative options available to satisfy all needs. I usually order fresh strawberries with cheesecake ice cream. I also ordered like it size vanilla ice cream with added pistachios. Customer service was great and very helpful. I will like to note that the ice cream cones are huge and the portions as well. Overall had a great time and loved my shake and ice cream. Highly recommend a visit there is plenty of up close parking. read more

I understand that everyone wants to go home but this isn't a food establishment that requires people to cook food. I went in about 15 min before closing time and they were already cleaning the counter where the toppings are added to the ice cream. I walked in and stated that I was sorry because they were closing soon. Working in customer service over 20 years, with a smile, I would have told the customer that it was okay and not to worry. Instead I was disregarded and we stood at the counter for about 2 min while they cleaned the counter they were about to serve us on as if they were waiting for us to just leave. After serving us (without any sort of good customer service), we paid and left. I even gave them a tip because I believe in the service industry. They need retraining on what it means to treat each customer with the upmost respect because it's the customers that allow this establishment to remain open. read more

Had the most annoying and irritating experience. Came in at exactly 9:20pm where these two very young girls were running the counter. One had a "Muse" sweatshirt on and another had light colored hair and makeup. I came with my aunt and my sister where my aunt happily got helped with no issues right away. As it was mine and my sisters turn, this small family of two girls and one mom came right behind us in line as they should. I was called to the counter by the girl in the sweatshirt where she cut off mid sentence to say hi to the girls behind us. They ended up chatting it up and she ended up taking her order and dedicated all her attention to them. She was friends with the whole family who came in front of us while I was LITERALLY right in front of the flavors. She ended up completely ignoring my sister and she got upset and stormed off. Already off the bat I'm FRUSTRATED because my sister really wanted ice cream just for some little girl to be too focused on chatting up and prioritizing her friends than her job. I was fine for a bit because I get it, I have a job and sometimes I myself unfortunately get caught up when my friends come in, but I know my friends understand I'm at work and so do I to say "hey I'll get to you right now let me get to them first" but no. What's even worse as that as the girl went to make the first ice cream, the OTHER girl with the light hair saw me and decided to address "hi what can I get you" again, still right in front of the flavors, while the family got right besides me and ended up being there. So I finally said "can I get a cheesecake in a-" and she cut me off and decided to start talking to the girls right next to me as well asking all their orders. Now I'm frustrated. I've already been waiting for 6 almost 10 mins to be exact and I was completely ignored by this family who came AFTER me. My family is already annoyed by these workers ignoring me and I just wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, I was wrong and both girls ended up taking that entire family order and she ended up taking them to the front where they passed me. I didn't want to wait any longer because they were taking a while making the ice cream. That's not anyone's fault I understand the ice cream takes a bit but that time on top of me being ignored 3 times by two different people is horrible. If you've never been to Coldstone, it can be overwhelming because of all the options and possibilities, not just with ice cream but with cakes and smoothies as well. All the combinations they've put together are delicious! Easy parking and in a shopping mall with a lot of other great stores like Ihop, Starbucks, GNC, Vons, Wal Mart, Home Depot and Sally's Beauty Supply just to name a few! For two small cups of ice cream without an additional toppings, it came to $4.00 total. Not too bad. I know toppings are extra and can cost a fortune. My daughter and I are just happy with our ice cream. I enjoyed my sugar free vanilla. It was not sweet and tasted more on the creamy than sweet. I can still taste the vanilla without the sugary taste. My daughter couldn't finish her ice cream, so I asked the lady for a lid. She was kind enough to give us one. When we left, she told us Have a nice day! I said "you too"! I loved her personality. She was nice and friendly! This location was clean and has parking in front. There were not busy either. I've been to this location quite a few times at night & notice they're always in a hurry to close.... It almost feels like they're open, but we shouldn't come in because they are trying to close & they end up giving us a vibe they don't want you to come in. Order an online ice cream cake from here and it was absolutely amazing! When I arrived they immediately helped me out and were kind. Once i had the cake I had to wait a bit for it to be easier to cut. The cake itself was delicious and the ice cream tasted just as great as the regular ice cream. Reading a review about another Cold Stone Creamery reminded me of my last visit to the one on Saturn Boulevard near Imperial Beach. (It's been at least several months, perhaps over a year.) Although I would like to say that I enjoyed my time, I didn't. I ordered my favorite malt/shake and asked how much would what was left over cost. The female employee said it would cost $2. When I asked to see how much was left, she refused. (Never mind that, on prior visits to the same location, those who had served me allowed me to see how much was left; they also didn't charge me such a ridiculous amount.) When I asked to speak with her manager, she copped an attitude and said that her manager wasn't there. When I asked for the manager's name and a way to contact him or her, the woman told me his name and obnoxiously said that I would need to come back another time instead of giving me his phone number. As I mentioned earlier, although I have walked past (and thought about returning to) that Cold Stone many times while taking care of other business in that plaza, I haven't done so. My husband and I went here for dessert after eating tacos, the ice cream were delicious. One negative comment about this shop is about the cashier, she didn't give me the exact change, my change should be 14.70 and she gave me 14 usd. So it was .70 short. I was waiting for the coins but she didnt even bother to tell me if they are short for coins. I guess she was just tired and I let it pass this time. pros...this place is usually not busy at all. you can get all your favorite ice creams here and have them make/mix and pack it for you too. the staff was really friendly and fast the couple of times that i have went here. they really get your outta there pretty fast. cons...not the best location. they are tucked away in the middle of the mall. and the mall itself is not the greatest. parking sucks and the people who drive here are not usually paying attention to driving either. so take your chances if you are not lucky enough to park right in front of the store. read more
