I love cold stone. When my husband and I first moved here in 2016, back when we were dating, I was wondering if there was a location in Suffolk. My husband's friend said that there was one in Babylon. I was so excited! The service is always great. They always ask if I need any help. There used to be seats back when I first started going. Had a shockingly bad customer service experience with Nick. I had purposely brought in my own spoon to help save the environment as well as save the parlor a spoon. I wanted the residue of MY ice cream. So Nick puts it into another cup. Nice. But then after I had purposely asked for NO SPOON already, he sticks a spoon into this cup. I asked him why he did that. Then he proceeds to THROW OUT THE ENTIRE CUP AND THE SPOON INTO THE GARBAGE OUT OF SPITE. I cannot to this day understand why he did that. I said I would leave a review. Well, here it is. I have been coming here for years. It'l has always been a great experience. The place is usually packed in the summer, especial in the evenings. They have young folks that working there, but they are well trained on customer service and the products. They will make you the wide list of choices the have or any mixture you want. It's very conveniently close to the Babylon train station just a block away and even has its own parking lot so you don't have to fight for street parking. The lot does get filled up pretty quickly though I arrived at Friday on 2pm and was only one spot left.. Ordered a petite chocolate ice cream cake online with many toppings. The cake turned out really great and even better than I expected with kitkat bars actually embedded in the ice cream :D Inside is pretty tiny though its more of a grab and go kind of place. The place is actually a lot smaller than it seems from the street and there was really no where to sit and eat forcing you to take it to go. (I'm not sure if this is the norm now so people don't hang out here, but the location I used to go to had a huge area with tables for you to sit and relax with your ice cream) The staff seemed very young and inexperienced working and it took a while to be helped even though there wasn't many other customers inside. I ordered exactly what I wanted (blueberry muffin batter... so good!) and then the girl went to hand me something totally different. I asked her if that was the blueberry one and she replied "no I thought you said cookie dough" and then it was an awkward pause and I told her again what I had ordered and she just quietly walked away and remade my order. I understand mistakes happen, but it was just such a cold, unfriendly way to handle the situation especially because it's entirely a customer service position. We also got to prepare our ice cream with toppings ourselves in the front of the store on the stones. We were able to make our own cones too! Such a cool experience for kids of all ages. They used to do parties for adults as well, not sure if they still do either one. Service is friendly, shop is always clean.
