CAPE MAY: Historic Cold Spring Village is an outdoor living history museum which is open seasonally and is pet friendly, but happened to be closed when we visited in late September. The village reopens on June 15, 2024. Luckily on the property, and opened year-round, is Cold Spring Brewery, one of the most unique breweries we have ever been to! Located inside a restored beautiful barn is a tasting room full of so much character, great beer, and a friendly atmosphere. It is NJ's only non-profit brewery that helps support the village to preserve history. The awesome beertender, Bill, made some great tasting suggestions and we had a fun time drinking the Hildreth German Wheat, Cold Spring Red, Cape May Farmhouse, and Pumpkin Festival Ale. There are 15 varieties on tap including non-alcoholic options. Most importantly, leashed dogs are allowed inside and there is also a great outdoor space with firepits and peaceful views. Check their schedule for live music.

Stopped in on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in March with my girlfriend while on a whirlwind tour of breweries in the Cape May area. It has the distinction of being the first (and only?) non-profit microbrewery in NJ. It's located in the Historic Cold Spring Village, a living history museum, and all proceeds from the brewery benefit the museum. As a major history lover, this for me is reason enough to visit. The brewery is in a beautifully restored 19th century barn. It is, hands down, one of the most beautiful taprooms I have ever been in, and I've been to just about every brewery in South Jersey. The man pouring beers was exceptionally friendly and helpful. My girlfriend and I sat with our beers on couches in front of a gas fireplace and a giant tv showing pictures of dogs (the place is dog friendly and allows dogs inside). It was extremely pleasant. Everything about this place is five stars, but I think the beer itself brings it down to four stars. We each had a flight, so we tried eight different beers between the two of us. Nothing really stood out to us. It was all decent but nothing extraordinary. In terms of beer alone it is nowhere near the top breweries in the state. Another random nitpicky thing is that all beers - pints and flights alike - are served in plastic cups. It's a shame to be in a beautiful rustic barn and to have to drink out of plastic cups like I'm at a frat party.

Great outdoor seating and the indoor looks nice as well. Tuesday afternoon in June so not too crowded but a good experience

Amazing atmosphere! So beautiful , less Of the insane typical brewery crowd , more of a country boho vibe. We had an excellent bartender! And we will be back soon, love our time here will be back to see Steve! Thank you :)

I loved that this brewery was attached to the historic cold spring village. The building is an old restored building and it's beautiful. You can get a flight, draft, and cans to go. There was an electric fire pit outside as well. The craft beer was pretty good and the service was pretty quick.

Plastic cup... because, you know, Covid in July of 2022.

It's raining...or maybe it's sunny...and you're looking to do a brewery tour in Cape May County...feel confident skipping Cold Springs Brewery. I've been here three times now, and somehow the beer keeps getting worse. I'm not sure if it's the water quality or overall lack of attention to detail that keeps their beer low quality, but whatever it is, the beer is terrible. I gave them a pass during Covid, but the failures keep adding up. In addition to the taste of the beer, they continue to insist on serving everything in plastic cups. I'm sure that's more convenient for the bored, lazy, and overall disinterested staff, but every other brewery has returned to glassware, so telling customers that plastic is "...for the pandemic..." Is a lie. I want this place to succeed. Find someone willing to work hard from another local brewery and give them a chance. In the meantime, I'm going to CoHo, Cape May Brewery, or Slack Tide.

They also have a big sales area and Bottle Shop with plenty of merch (clothing and food/drink) and bottles of their spirits for sale. Bottled spirits for sale include their Nauti vodka, jalapeño vodka, strawberry lemon basil vodka, two rums, two Bourbons, Rye, and two Whiskeys. Our party of four roamed through their gift shop where I picked up a 375 ml. bottle of Atlantic Bourbon ($45) for a bourbon-loving friend, two bags of beef sticks (@ $6), and an irresistible sounding jar of Orange Creamsicle Peanut Butter ($8). We hit the tasting room before we left, and I enjoyed a very refreshing Nauti Mary ($12) with their Nauti Spirits Vodka and house made Bloody Mary Blend. The rest of our party went the NA route and raved about their QUEEN OF HEARTS ($6) with Sprite, Cherry Syrup, Cherries, and a SPARKLER ($5) with a choice of Cherry, Orange, Pineapple or Ginger with club soda. All in all, visiting Nauti Spirits was fantastic, and it's a "must see" if you're ever near Cape May.

I asked how it was made and the waitress said that they use fresh squeezed OJ and house made triple sec. I'm certain that made the difference! It was also made with Kettle One Orange vodka. Against my better judgement, I got a second cocktail, and not the same thing. *so sad* I got a blueberry cosmo. It was fine but it wasn't amazing like the Orange Crush. My husband got a steak salad. There was legit a WHOLE steak on there! He enjoyed it a lot. I had a couple of bites and agree it was really good. I got the pulled pork sandwich, that was also tasty. The homemade potato chips were yummy too. The next visit, we took our son around brunch time. We all decided on breakfast that visit. I got another Orange Crush *yum*. We all enjoyed our breakfast. The potatoes that came with my breakfast sandwich were so flavorful! I highly recommend eating here.

The two standouts for me were the Wah Wah Watch butterscotch ale, and the hard birch beer. I've seen plenty of NJ breweries that make their own root beer but never a hard version. They seem to be known for their seltzers and have quite a few on tap, many more than I've seen at other breweries. The staff were exceptionally friendly. One of them asked us if we could be his guinea pigs and let us try half a pint of some sort of strawberry concoction.
