OKAY! The interior of the cafe was very nicely decorated and there's plenty of seating for those who wants a place to study or do work. As for drinks I ended up getting the strawberry matcha and the black sesame coffee. The strawberry matcha already comes with oat milk which is nice because a lot of other places charges extra for milk substitute. I would say the matcha is alright, the matcha wasn't very strong since it was overwhelmed by the milk and the sweetness of the strawberry. But the coffee was good, it's strong which I use to determine a good coffee. Overall I would def come back for the coffee and to study here. read more

I've been here twice. The first time was a few months ago in December. It was only one person working so we waited quite some time for our drink. That time I went it was good, I've actually recommended it to a handful of people. But today we returned and tried the ube coffee & ube matcha. It wasn't to my liking and definitely dropped my rating down from my initial visit. The ube coffee - the coffee taste was not as strong as it was last time. The ube didn't taste like ube whatsoever, which is disappointing. Just tasted like a milky foam and it wasn't thick like that so it mixed in the drink quick. Now the ube matcha wasn't to my preference either. It tasted really grassy, like really earthy compared to other types of matcha I've tasted before. I'm not sure if the "ube" brought out that enhancement in earthy tones but again, the ube wasn't like ube taste at all. From these two experiences, it's giving inconsistency. I'll give it a 3rd time try next time and if it isn't like my first time visiting a few months ago, I'd probably go elsewhere for my drink fix. read more

The matcha einspanner was done so well! Matcha tastes high quality and the cream is made from whole milk and has a lovely, rich dairy flavor that you'll want to lick up. It's sweetened with agave but not too sweet like some other local cafes serving matcha drinks. I ended up chatting a bit with the baristas (both super friendly and sweet) and was so surprised to find out that the drink was made with oat milk. Apparently all their matcha drinks are made with oat milk by default so keep that in mind, but I honestly didn't even notice it! I normally don't like how overpowering the oat flavor is in matcha drinks but they said that they specifically chose this oat milk because it allowed the matcha flavor to shine through. Love it. Next time I'll definitely be trying their viet coffee. read more

Coffeebae is a great spot for Vietnamese coffee. The egg coffee was rich and custardy, and the staff were incredibly accommodating about sweetness, even offering a sample first. The space is comfortable for working or catching up, and they also offer matcha and a small selection of pastries. Definitely coming back. read more

It's not always easy to find really good Vietnamese coffee outside of Seattle, and they definitely have one of the better Vietnamese coffees in the area!! The staff was suuuuper friendly - we struggled with the menu a bit and they were happy to help us navigate what to get and we were definitely happy with our choices. A modern, cozy, and upscale café perfect for catching up with friends or getting some work done. I tried the Vietnamese coffee with salty foam, and it was the perfect balance of coffee and salt. Ive been on a matcha mission to try out all the matcha in Seattle. I found out about coffeebae through TikTok and it was during their soft opening. The inside is really aesthetic and the service is really friendly and attentive. I have been there a couple times and they recognize me. I usually ask to add extra matcha at other places but this place there was no need for it. I've tried the matcha with strawberry purée (also with the matcha foam, and ube foam another time) both were good! All my friends who has been there said their drinks was on point as well. Parking is also plenty. And I love that the milk is the default for some of the matcha. This is by far the best matcha place to go to in the south end! Come here :) read more

Coffeebae has the best viet coffee in all of Seattle. I'd even say it compares to viet coffee in SoCal. It's strong and delicious and has the perfect amount of sweetness. Great place to hang out and chat with friends. The baristas here are extremely friendly and take the time to explain the drinks, which we really appreciated. We had a great time--the vibe is cozy and relaxed. The drinks themselves are good, though nothing particularly standout, maybe just because there are so many matcha spots in the Seattle area now. Strawberry Matcha Latte: I enjoyed this drink! Matcha taste came through and the level of sweetness was great for me (I do enjoy sweet drinks for reference). Bac Xiu: Even though it's milk forward, definitely still very strong and a bit bitter which I enjoy but in case anyone isn't used to Vietnamese coffees. Parking: They share a lot with other businesses and there's always parking! Easy peasy. So glad that there's a Viet coffee place down south now!! The staff was great and answered any questions I had and the interior is cute and great for dates and hang outs. read more

I would give 2.5/5 stars. The matcha is on the blander side so I would add extra sweetness if you like sweet matcha. But I think it still had a good matcha flavor which not all places do well. If you get an iced drink make sure to ask for light ice, to be honest there was soooo much ice like the full cup. It was also very pricey considering the size and ice too, it was $9 for a matcha. The workers were very nice tho. Due to the price I probably wouldn't choose to return here but I wouldn't be against it. Worth a try still read more

I went to get a cup of coffee between my work appointments. When they bring me the coffee it had ice in it so I said: oh I want hot coffee to which the waitress replied: we are only making cold coffee at this time. So I asked if I could get a refund because I don't drink anything cold and the guy offered to make it hot to which I accepted. So far so good. When I was done I told him it was very good but you should let people know that you only serve cold coffee. His response was out of this world: "you can't assume p are going to make the coffee the way you like it " Then he said: "you can't assume that the coffee is going to be hot " Excuse me but as far as I know whenever I asked for coffee it was always hot unless specified otherwise. And he had this bad attitude as if I was asking for something absurd. Then I asked for the code of the bathroom and they told me it was closed (with a full house) because they didn't like my advice. I left telling them I was never coming back. Telling someone who wants a hot cup of coffee to not make assumptions that the coffee will be hot is like going to a pizzeria and they telling you "don't make assumptions that your pizza will have mozzarella. They got it backwards. Coffee is always hot unless specified otherwise!! They were rude and I don't recommend them. What can I say: common sense is not common read more

Tried CoffeeBae during their soft opening and it was honestly really good. The Vietnamese coffee is strong and smooth without being too sweet, and the matcha has a great flavor rich, balanced, and not astringent at all. I got the egg coffee and the double matcha, and both were excellent. You can tell they use quality ingredients in their drinks. The place itself is bright and clean. The staff were super friendly and made everything quickly. A lot of other places can feel a bit rushed when you ask questions, but they were patient and happy to help with everything I asked which I really appreciated! Definitely worth checking out if you like good coffee or matcha. This will be definitely my new go to spot for drinks in the area. read more

My favorite drinks at Coffeebae are the Ube Coffee and the Phin Drip coffee. I just tried the bahn mi sandwich and it was so good. The bread was crunchy on the outside and nice and chewy on the inside. The cold cuts and the veggies were tasty. The shop is bright and offers plenty of places to sit and enjoy your coffee or matcha. Service is fast and friendly. Plenty of parking too. read more

Nice spot but the specialty coffee seems to be the Lee's concentrate that they just add the cream flavoring on top. Didn't see any espresso being made as part of these types of drinks. Staff is friendly and nice spot to chill. read more

From the moment we walked in, and we're greeted by a very friendly JoJo, who is an amazing human being, and an awesome barista. it was a very positive experience I'm not usually a fan of Ethiopian coffee, but whatever they do here, made it the "nectar of the gods". This was an amazing cuppa coffee (Americano). I went back to try a shot of espresso, just to see what the difference was with cream and just straight espresso by itself. The espresso shot was really good. From an ambience perspective, it's very industrial, contemporary. It is in the lobby of the interurban hotel, and there is a fair amount of traffic that comes and goes through the coffee shop. So, if you're in the area of the Southcenter / Tukwila/ airport, and want a quality coffee shop, that's relatively easy to get in and out of, with a good amount of parking, stop by this place.
