Stopped in for a latte and was a little disappointed, and I'd go elsewhere for my next brew. Although, if I were ordering some food, I'd like to come back! Pros: The food looked incredible. A wide bar of presumably freshly baked goods and future sandwich items looked incredible and but for my dinner reservation, I wanted to try! A very comfortable space with plenty of seating and spots to lounge. Service was sufficient. Cons: I'm not coffee connoisseur, but my latte was flat, without foam (even for almond milk!). It was disappointing. Prices were a little steep, mostly highlighted by the smaller of two coffee options being something like a 8 or 10 oz cup. Cash only. I love my black unsweetened ice tea. Usually where coffee is brewed there is a selection of fresh brewed ice tea. At coffee talk they have 3 flavors black , peach and green teas. I decided to try their peach tea. I was not disappointed. The peach spoke for itself. So after drinking my peach tea , i got the green tea. It was excellent too! A lot places sometimes do not clean their machines and the ice teas have a hint of coffee but not at Coffee Talk. The atmosphere of the coffee shop is helps one enjoy your beverage . The first thing that hits you is the smell when you walk in. They have a very large variety of food- sweet cronuts, savory breakfast sandwiches, packaged cereal and other baked goods. There is also a juice bar and an oatmeal bar. There is lots of seating depending on the weather. The service is pretty good- if not a little militant. You order in one place and they shout your name out in another when your order is ready. The only thing that sucks is that they only take cash but there is an ATM right by the place where you place your order. Sometimes the line can be out the door. But the line moves fast. Very Busy during the weekends and around July 4th Holiday as we waited in a long line so be prepared. There was a quick option if you only wanted iced coffee or hot coffee at their oatmeal bar however we also wanted milk, a muffin and coffee cake and it was worth the wait. They also have a juice bar inside for acai bowls or freshly squeezed juice. We recently took a mother daughter trip to Avalon and this coffee shop was recommended by a friend. We got coffees, bagels, muffins and smoothies. Delicious....all of it! The atmosphere is relaxed, and there was a chakra bowl being rung while we were there which made us interact with staff and we enjoyed hearing about it. Bring cash as credit cards are not accepted. And quarters for the meter. I highly recommend the protein shakes, the Milky Way coffee and my daughters recommend the iced coffee and French toast muffins. Great place. I approach Coffee Talk with a little caution as I have had mixed experiences in the past. This is an extremely popular spot, but the popularity seems to mean that the teenagers running the show can treat the customers with whatever attitude they seem to be in at the moment. This year I had a mildly decent experience, although I visited slightly later in the morning and they were probably tired (the teenagers on the counter). Coffee is slightly above average for quality, espresso about the same. Baked goods are decent (I am a fan of corn-muffins), but what seems to be the change this year in Stone Harbor is all the local vendors got together in the off-season and decided to raise prices across the board. $8 bagel sandwiches, coffee (not lattes) costing upwards of $4, $10 cinnamon buns, and just about everything else really expensive. Even the real estate prices have gotten a bit out of control - prices here are higher than Martha's Vineyard, now. Coffee Talk's claim to fame is a place where Taylor Swift appeared before becoming a major star. They have been promoting this for years and its a little over-done, but to each their own. You will wait in line, you may or may not be greeted with a smile, and you will over-pay for mildly decent food and coffee, but that is what one has to expect now in what used to be a tranquil summer vacation spot, but what is now a place over-run by white-cheese, Philadelphia suburbanites and their hoards of uniformly similar kids. read more

The atmosphere is five star for sure one of the coolest settings inside. They have a oatmeal bar, I don't think I have ever seen that before. There is also a juice lady who uses fresh fruits and veggies. The coffee was good but not great, but I'll for sure get it again. We got a blueberry scone and a Cronut ( croissant and doughnut). My wife who loves Blueberry scones was very disappointed it. The Cronut was however out of this world and could be my new favorite pastry! This is an adorable little coffee shop in an adorable little beach town. They have a lot of different pastry/bagel options along with coffee. I'm a huge fan since they daily have 3-4 different iced coffee brews to choose from! They have a large seating area and offer WIFI in the afternoons. I guess in the morning it's too crowded and they don't want to encourage setting up camp with your computer? I know a year or so ago they charged for the internet, but now it looks like it might be free. They also recently added a whole smoothie bar. I have yet to try a smoothie, but it looks legit. Such a cute place! But being so close to the ocean, and being that they seem pretty conscientious, their waste is a concern. Strictly from a green standpoint: Positives: Coffee Talk has a recycling bin available to their patrons! They also have mugs as an option for stay in customers. Negatives: Both Coffee Talk and Juice Girl use plastic, non-biodegradable cups for their drinks and serve their customers with disposable options whether or not they are taking it to go. When I was there, all of the customers none of the beverages were in mugs or washable cups. They also serve their food with a sheet of wax paper. Their to-go foods are served in a plastic container. Please consider switching your to-go cups and containers to a plant-based, biodegradable container. Try only serving your to-stay customers with washable dishes: cups, mugs and plates, as opposed to the disposable option. It would cut your costs and the waste down a bunch! Normally LOVE this place. They have a great variety of options and the coffee is always great. Today, however, I had a different experience, one bad enough to make me get a yelp! After waiting for 20 minutes in line (because I like the coffee that much) I received the wrong item. I know, this doesn't sound that bad, but the story gets more complicated... (as it always does on yelp) When the barista called my name to let me know my order was ready, he called 3 others at the same time. I had ordered an oat milk lattee (which I drink at least 4 times per week) and realized right away that they put the wrong lattee next to my card because anyone who drinks oat milk knows it looks very different from other types of milk. I told the barista before even trying it, but he insisted it was the oat milk "because he just made it". I insisted that he probably just mixed up the three lattees he just made but he insisted that I was wrong. I tasted it to check, and it was skim milk, the kind the woman next to me ordered. Coincidence?? I don't think so. So i was stuck with an skim milk latte, which I can't drink. I know I'm probably being dramatic, but if i'm paying $5 for a coffee from you 4x per week, the least you could do is at least pretend like you are listening when you mess up. I get mistakes happen, but come on. Im never going back, but If you go, request to never have the young, male barista with brown hair because he's rude and bad at serving coffee. read more

My boyfriend took me here on a mini-date during his family vacation when we felt like we needed a little bit of "us" time. The smell of freshly brewed coffee had me hooked on this place from the start. Then I saw the special of the day: Creme Brûlée--so delicious! The two girls at the counter were giggling about something behind the counter the entire time we were there, but they did show us where to find everything we needed. Oh, to be that young again! We found a cozy nook in the corner with pillows to snuggle up against. There is plenty of seating indoors. The shop has a shelf of old books to curl up with too, which I thought was very cute. All in all, I loved this place. One thing that bothered me: they did not have a "roll" option so I got wheat toast for my egg sandwich BUT my bread spent too long in the toaster and they still served it to me - blackened and all. I am not picky about my level of toasty-ness but this was black - anyone else would have sent it back. However since it was early May I'm assuming the staff was new/out of practice. There is also a smoothie bar. Tried the custom oatmeal bar the next day - unique idea - loved it.
