Small but a lovely coffee spot. Being new in Texas, I have always have been on a coffee hunt, and I happen to find this place. Me and my husband have tried their americano and pour overs, both are really good. Their beans are perfectly roasted and the coffee flavour is simply amazing. You can spend your whole day talking to the lovely staff out there. Mind you they have a limited menu, but you'll find your favorite soon as you go there. I had a lavender oat milk cappuccino here earlier today and it was *superb.* The espresso was smooth and sweet, the lavender was slightly floral but not overpowering, and the oat milk provided a creamy body. With that exceptional caffeinated drink they whipped up for me, I can only imagine how great their bags of beans are. The staff was also wonderful and so engaging in a really warm, thoughtful, get-to-know-a-bit-about-you kind of way. Love this place. If you want fresh coffee, go here. It's small and sometimes the front gets backed up, but overall it is a great place to buy coffee. They can grind the coffee for free, any style you like. Also they ship all over the US. read more

Honestly to this day, this is still the best coffee & most incredible experience that I have had... and believe me, I have had A LOT of coffee !! The barista on duty was so amazing, we had such great conversation & it felt so fun & casual !! The coffee itself was marvelous, you could taste the high quality ingredients that were inside of it. Although I have a sweet tooth & prefer drinks like mochas & lattes... I was still able to taste my sisters americano & enjoy it, that's how smooth the espresso is !!! I was having work done on my car in the same strip mall as Coffee Del Rey. Thinking it was a coffee shop, I went in hoping to read a book. While this is not a coffee shop, they do sell damn good coffee. The owner and one of his employees shared with me the buisness got started. Most of the sales benefit various charities that are close to the owner's heart. He shared that when he retired he did some missionary work oversees and became passionate about making a difference. I explained that I am a dark roast kind of gal and he shared a pour over with me and then directed me to the brewed coffee of the day. I liked them both so he suggested a mixed bag with each bean. This is where I go for my freshly roasted coffee beans, I refuse to venture off elsewhere just because the beans are always so fresh, I never have a bad experience, and I really enjoy supporting local. Now that I'm pregnant, I don't drink my usual pour overs daily anymore but I still enjoy coming in for a latte once in a while. Their selection is always different and rotating so I always love picking up a new bag every month. Highly recommend! read more

The best! We buy their espresso beans at the farmers market and they truly are the best we've found. Aside from them having a great product, the people are just so nice/good people. Absolute favorite coffee in the DFW!! We stop in every few months to buy bags of fresh ground coffee and have tried a few flavors so far. Each one we've tried has been incredible. The perfect balance of a strong brew with the smoothness to drink without that gritty or even burnt taste/texture. First off, it isn't a place to hang out, my mistake but it had good reviews. Three stools and a bench is the only seating. Its smells wonderful in here and that they roast their own coffee which is nice I ordered an americano, the flavor was weak. Definitely not the rich taste I was looking for. My friends ordered Lattes which they said were good. The woman waiting on us was not very friendly, subtly rude to my Chinese friends. She knew we were waiting for a friend and we were served with paper cups I wont be back, and Im certain they are fine with that. read more

I pass by this place all the time. Sometime ago I added it to my Yelp and today I finally went. Coffee lovers, when I say you should go here, what I'm saying is you NEED to go here! First off, phenomenal customer service. They knew every person by first name, except me, since it was my first time. I'm a little jealous, but that's ok, I'm going back tomorrow so I can start being a regular. Secondly, and most important, the coffee: smooth and fresh (they roast their own). I didn't know what other reviewers meant by "the coffee is so smooth" until I gave the Del Rey latte a try. I've tried mannnyyy coffee places in Dallas and Houston, and I must admit that Coffee Del Rey comes in first place. I was astonished by its humble interior and initially did not expect anything surprisingly good - but boy was I wrong! To top it off, the barista was very kind and had the sweetest smile which could melt anyone's heart! I took a few sips of the cinnamony-hazelnut flavored latte after I got in my car and IMMEDIATELY wanted another cup. I've never had such an intensely positive reaction to a latte before....y'all need to try this place out cuz it's seriously good! read more

Very neat little shop! This isn't a cafe, this is a coffee bean micro roaster. These guys focus on developing a unique flavor by not over roasting the beans. They try to bring in fair trade suppliers so that each of their actions support a humanitarian cause. Carl was there that day and gave us an little lesson about the different beans that they have and even showed us their roasters! The bean flavors are really awesome and we had the opportunity to try the Dominican and their iced coffee. Both coffee drinks were delicious and you can definitely identify the unique flavors in each bean type. They do wholesale and individual bean sales to businesses and walk in customers. She is helpful, informative, and does not talk down to her customers, which I see sometimes happen with specialty shops like this. She walked me through a lesson on coffee and I left with free samples to try different washes and processes.
