This restaurant is not what people are expecting. The food appears different but always an upset. Every single time from the food to the extreme wait, we are always disappointed. The service is beyond extremely slow (1-hour and 10 minutes for brunch to be served). This was when they weren't even busy. I would rather cook it myself or go to a real restaurant that appreciate my business. I called them on a Holiday to check if they were open and the owner says: "Ehh, I gave the wait staff the weekend off, hell with em this weekend" as if he could care less about the customers which is about right comparing my experiences here. Do not come here if you need to get in and out. The wait staff stayed very busy, but didn't wait on people in the order they arrived and the kitchen couldn't keep up with the orders. We have been here before and while there was is a limited menu, the food is usually good. It was only fair today. Big disappointment starting the new year. read more

The food was mouthwatering! Went the other day for my first time and will definitely be back. Waitress was friendly as well. Some items are a little more expensive than usual but it's quality. If you can't afford it go to McDonalds. I ordered the tomato bisque not expecting much as a side and even that was excellent! I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. I have been there a few times - each visit was just ok. My husband and I went the other night - after a VERY long wait (and there was only 2 tables with customers) we did receive a nice dinner. But as far as the rest - a little disappointing. My husband wanted to sample a beer before he purchased and was told they don't do that. I requested a citrus vodka tonic - no citrus vodka. I did try their sours but didn't like it so sent the drink back. We weren't offered any dessert - the server just dropped the bill at the table. Visited one day at 1p - after the assumed lunch rush. The restaurant was only 1/2 occupied - a relief after reading the "nightmare" reviews which promised excruciating waits. Our waiter was a really congenial guy - as much bashful as friendly. We ordered and had our food in under 15 minutes. I have to say, and my wife agreed, that the burgers we ordered were top notch and ranked among the best either of us had ever had (the restaurant makes their burgers with ground brisket.) We were disappointed with the miniscule amount of homemade chips we were provided; however, they were well made. We plan on trying Cody's on another day, and at a later time, to try their dinner menu. read more

The first time I came to Cody's I had a great experience. Plenty of beer and drink options to choose from. We got loaded fries which were a huge hit with everyone at our table. A lot of people got burgers or steak and really enjoyed their meals. The service was great as well. Our waitress was very attentive and we were seated quickly since we had a reservation. I went back for a second time last night and we did not have as greet of an experience. We made reservations before and got seated quickly. Most of us ordered the udon noodle meal. It ended up taking about 45 minutes for our food to arrive at our table. When we got our meals they were room temperature and did not have much flavor at all. The best part of our noodle bowl was the chicken and steak on top. The noodles themselves were over cooked and tasted burnt and drenched in soy sauce. We were very disappointed in our meal. The menu changes frequently but it may be better if they figured out what meals work and stick with those options!! read more

Very inconsistent food, poorly trained wait staff. Went 3 times for dinner, First time we had an appetizer to die for, next two times ii was severely overdone once and underdone the next time. Servers hang at the kitchen window, do not check on drinks, quality of food.... My husband likes his steak rare his looked like it had been flipped for 2 secs on each side and then served, it was steak tartar, but no one came to check on us until it was time for dessert, no one even walked by as we were the only customers. I am truly sad as I was really looking forward to his food, it is expensive, not cook well, and service is nonexistent. read more

If you decide to try something different this is not the place to go. If you go while it's cold outside make sure to wear your coat in because it is so uncomfortably cold inside. My wife asked about turning the heat up and was told that they keep it cold so when a lot of people are there it doesn't get too hot. There were approximately 20 people there at the time, all of whom, were wearing their outside jackets. I then asked for the drink menu because I had seen something interesting on their website that I wanted to try. We were told that they couldn't find it. They had recently rearranged things and haven't found it. Apparently there is only one. So we asked what is on tap, only to have the waitress lay down her order pad for me to read. We decided to stick with water. The menus we were given did not match the winter menu on their website. We placed our order, only to find out 10 minutes later they did not have what my wife ordered. We decided that was our final cue to go somewhere else. We decided that with som many other choices closeby they will not get visit from us. read more

This place is great! Service is super. Food takes a while but it's because they are making it from the ground up. Simply outstanding grub and worth the wait. Staff really tends to your needs. We were excited to take our friends to Cody's as we had such a good experience there the first time we went. The staff were very helpful and the atmosphere so comfortable and relaxing. The cooks in the kitchen were not the same as our previous visit which should have been a heads up. Tips and blue were smothered in sauce and not much of a blue cheese flavor. My husband had Soba noodles with steak and the steak was burnt. The first time the steak was seared perfectly and very tender. I had Steak and Frites and the potatoes were not cooked. Do not think these were "thrice cooked". The steak was very good but there was to much sauce. It drowned out the steak. The staff is definitely an asset to the restaurant and the reason we will go back a third time. I just hope we have a better experience on our next visit. read more
