Good experience here, while in port on a cruise. Our Uber driver convinced us to go here instead of the touristy pier area, which was great with us. Got a seat in the sun, and our server Shayla was fantastic! We ordered the blacked mahi mango dish, and while delicious, the first one had a eyelash in it. We sent it back, they removed from the bill without a problem, and made another. Hoping it was just a fluke, as that could happen in passing from just bringing out the food. Either way, the second one was just as delicious. The dish was so fresh and cooked perfectly. And the rice and beans were good accompaniments! I think the appeal is that it is on the sand and it would be nice with drinks and appetizers, but this place gets so busy that we didn't have a choice but to sit inside or wait another hour. We were staying overnight before a cruise we were taking for our anniversary. We wanted something with a view but with good food. Coconuts on the beach delivered. We sat out side with great view of the beach. It was the evenings so there was a nice breeze off the water. But they had some nice fans to cool you down also. Our server Jason was awesome. Made some good recommendations throughout the meal, and had an amazing energy to him. We got the wings and corn and crawfish chowder to start. The wings can be done well done with sauce on the side, which we love to keep them crispy. I am from Louisiana and the corn and crawfish chowder is what I had in my mind it should taste like- almost like a crawfish boil met an etoufee. I had the coconut shrimp with curry dipping sauce which was perfect. And my wife got the mahi Reuben, we finished the meal off with a pineapple crème brule. Pleasantly surprised. You could find reasonably priced dishes and drinks, with both outdoor beachside view and indoor seating with aquatic decor. Both the drinks and food (we got the dishes with fish) were amazing, and even though our waitress was serving for a lot of tables she was very nice and the service was fast. Overall experience at coconuts on the beach was average. The time to wait for our seat was not worth the quality of the food. Service was good, atmosphere was nice but the food was average. Recommendations to management, revisit some of the items on the menu or at least try them occasionally. Doesn't take much to make certain dishes pop. This will bring people back. One more thing, I would not consider this a family restaurant. If you're looking for food read below: 1st when we were waiting we observed the hostess consistently picking her nose, luckily there were two and the other one took us to our seat. That should have been a sign but we were hungry from the beach and it had a great view as it is right off the beach. 2nd we ordered the bangin shrimp and it came out looking great, until we tried it. If you're looking for fried bread get these shrimp. You can't even taste the shrimp. And after we told the waitress to see if we could get it refried but not for so long she said, "That's their thing". It was terrible. The sauce was good but everything else was trash. 3rd I got the chefs steak, broccoli, and mashed potatoes. I got the steak medium well and it was done well. The broccoli taste like they just steamed it, no seasoning no butter, it was the most bland vegetable I've ever had and I've ate in cafeterias. The potatoes were hand mashed but still very underwhelming. My son's lobster, overcooked and chewy. Everyone's food was overdone and unseasoned. 4th the waitress was nice but not attentive. Our drinks were empty for an extended period of time and she seemed overwhelmed. Which is understandable because it was busy, but add that to the bad food and it made it worse. Also the drink was terrible as well. I'm a drinker and left a third of the drink on the table. I would do your research and find somewhere else. I usually look at reviews and I didn't for this one and was upset because there are A LOT of other reviews that say the same thing. They did give us 10% off, took the drinks off, and took the kids meals off. But on an overdone $30 NY strip (not Sirloin now), overdone lobster, bland broccoli, and unmashed mashed potatoes, you felt robbed. I'm giving them 4 stars for their location near the beach and because my crab cake sandwich with fries were delicious. They lose a point because their coconut shrimp did not taste right to me. I went here a few weeks ago, twice, with coworkers. The first time I went, I was with two coworkers and I ordered the coconut shrimp. It tasted undercooked to me; the texture of the shrimp was mushy but at least pink inside. Didn't sit right with me, but it was edible enough. I should've sent it back to have it cooked a bit more, but I think I was scared they'd be upset about it. I should've returned it, ugh. My coworkers liked their burgers and mango fish (or whatever it's called). We ate indoors, which was very decorated and colorful, with an island vibe. The second time I went, I was with one coworker. She ordered a burger with sweet potato fries and I ordered some seasonal fruit as my appetizer and the crab cake sandwich with sweet potato fries as my meal. The seasonal fruit bowl was delicious and perfect for the warm weather. The crab cake was just right in its proportion, seasoning, and preparation, made even better with the side of fries and remoulade sauce. My coworker liked her burger enough, though they didn't prepare it exactly as she requested. They also gave her the wrong fries initially. We ate outdoors in a corner, by the bar and ramp leading to the sand. We had a front row seat view of the beach; it was spectacular. Customer service both times could be better. Don't come to Coconuts on the Beach if you're hoping to talk to the people you're with. At least on a weekend night. Or whenever they have live music on the patio. Or when you want to sit inside. Here's the deal: you're going to pay a premium because it's one of the few places where you can literally eat overlooking the beach. Great vibes there, can't be beat. But the food is good, not great. And it's a little overpriced (or under portioned, depending on your perspective). But the kicker is that it's just loud. From talking to the hostess to sitting at your table, it's loud. If there's a band playing on the patio, it's loud. If you try to go inside to escape, it's loud. The inside dining room is completely full of hard, flat surfaces that just reflect sound until it peaks into an ear-splitting cacophony when the big party along the wall wants to drunkenly celebrate Brad's birthday. Even with a half full dining room, it's echo-y aural assault. If you've just gotta eat looking out over the beach, I admit that you can't beat the location. How could you charge a kids meal that did not have anything in it for 7 bucks. And then when I asked for a white sauce because my daughter did not want to eat it since it was too dry, the waitress says sure we can give you the white sauce which took about 20 mins to come and I was charged $2 for it. Coconuts is a tourist staple in Cocoa Beach with a great location right on the beach and decent food, but it is ALWAYS packed. We were originally told it would be an hour wait for a table for my husband and I so we tried to get drinks at the bar, but were notified that our table was ready within about 10 minutes. We didn't even get drinks by then. Our waiter was really nice and even though it was packed and he was busy it wasn't an excessive wait for our drinks or food. My husband got a Pina colada and I got a strawberry and coconut virgin Frozen margarita. We shared the bangin' shrimp which were a large serving of hot, crispy and delicious shrimp. For dinner I got the Blackened mahi fish wrap with fries and my husband got the jerk mahi fish tacos. Both were fresh, hot and delicious, not the best fish wrap or tacos that we had ever had, but I would order it again. The fries were really crispy and yummy. For dessert we split the pineapple brulee which is a really unique dish with a nice pineapple flavor served in the bottom of a pineapple. The brulee was not the smoothest I've ever had, but still delicious. Rating from an F to an A+++ I would give it a B +. read more

Happy Father's Day!! Family decided to drive to the beach after dinner. Its a nice afternoon/evening so why not. Best place to get a drink and walk on the beach...Coconuts on the Beach!! So we stood at the bar for about 4 minutes 2 bartender that helped everyone else around us. Finally they see us (next time I'll bring spotlights ) I ordered 3 frozen drinks...a pain in the ass (the most popular drink), rum runner, piña colada and a coke. The frozen drinks weren't frozen and the coke was flat. Very disappointed with the outside bar area. Although this wasn't my first time here the food is really good and the service is usually better than what I had today but I'll give them another try in the near future. read more

Came here on the afternoon for some drinks on the beach and I was very happy with their happy hour deals. Our bartender Lori was wonderful. She was fast and friendly despite how busy they were. I enjoyed a few bloody Mary's (the best I've ever had) without all the fancy fixings. We also enjoyed a few shots. We decided to stay for dinner and to my surprise the prices were great and the food was delicious. Our server Gabi and Susan were very friendly and knowlegeable of allergies for my boyfriend. We had a calamari appetizer and wings for our entree. This restaurant/bar is located right on the beach and has a great view. We were lucky enough to watch the rocket launch.
