Straightforward and simple. Clean and fresh place that simply makes tasty curries. I chose the crispy duck leg and it was moist and crispy. I had been misled by some YELP reviewers who praised the Khao Soi. (Khao Soi is a traditional curried noodle soup from Northern Thailand.) The flavors were excellent but I was seeking the soup base and the contrasting noodles. (Soi 30th has an authentic version.) read more

We were immediately welcomed by the lovely human behind the counter and offered samples of the curry before we ordered. We dined in- lots of options for seating in a cozy setting. We ordered panang curry with pork belly and green curry with duck. My goodness, it was so good! I highly suggest ordering the curry puffs and thai tea with coconut water to accompany your meal. read more

New Thai curry spot in city heights! There was a small parking lot with a few spots. Love how they gave curry samples before committing to which curry sauce. The staff described their concept as the "chipotle of curry" haha which is exactly what this place is. You choose a protein, your base, curry sauce, and your side. My boyfriend got the khao soi curry with crispy pork belly on rice noodles and a side of spicy cucumbers. I got the panang curry with grilled salmon on egg noodles with a side of papaya salad. They were doing a soft opening special and offered 10% off!! Tried their Thai ice tea and Thai coffee but it was too sweet for me. Only suggestion is that in the future, maybe they can work on offering a non sweetened drink option? Food was so delicious and flavorful, will definitely be back! read more

Found out about this spot on Instagram. We tried it and it didn't disappoint!! We had the Khao Soi curry with rice and crispy pork. It was so good. Absolutely recommend and will be back! Staff is very friendly. Heads up; the parking is limited and hard to come by. read more

What a unique concept! This new Thai curry spot is just two weeks old and I think it's worth checking out. They offer several curry flavors that they allow you to taste test. I really appreciated this idea as curry flavors can often be confusing. Then ordering is similar to chipotle where you pick a meat, curry flavor, rice or noodles, and sides. I got the panang curry which I thought was really yummy. I think the papaya salad was just ok. They cut the veggies a little differently then traditional papaya salad and I wish it was seasoned a bit more. Hopefully I can come back soon to try the other curry flavors :) read more

Coco Curry absolutely blew me away! From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming they made us feel right at home. The service was top-notch, and everyone was so friendly throughout the entire meal. But let's talk about the food... WOW. I've had a lot of Thai curry in my life, but this was hands down the best authentic Thai curry I've ever tasted. Rich, flavorful, perfectly spiced, and just the right amount of heat every bite was heaven. You can really taste the love and tradition in their cooking. 100000% recommend the crispy pork belly. Eat here. This place is amazing. The food is warm and comforting filling and full of flavor. I usually get khao soa over rice with marinated beef but the duck is sooo good with it too. I also love getting their coconut thai tea its the best thing ever. The service is also amazing they're sweet and attentive. I rave about this place to all my friends!! I came here a few days ago with friends to try this place and was pleasantly surprised by our experience. I noticed driving by a new spot just opened up so I decided to assemble friends to support a local business. The restaurant is located in a little plaza next to 7-11. The inside is modern with a nice aesthetic. We were greeted immediately as we walked in which is always a good sign when it comes to having a good experience. The worker let all 6 of us try each curry type they had like it was an ice cream shop. None of them disappointed. I ordered the pork belly, yellow curry, rice and spicy cucumber. It came out to be around $20 with tip (I threw a little extra in there since they're new and I came to support them). The curry was smooth and not too overpowering. The pork belly stayed crispy while the cucumber was a nice bite to cleanse my palate. I enjoyed the whole meal. We also go to try the mango sticky rice dessert. I don't like coconut so I did not enjoy the rice part but the others who do like it, did. Overall, this is a great addition to the City Heights area and I can't wait to go again! read more

Oh my gosh! Hidden gem of a place off El Cajon Blvd. They have so many delicious selection of curry that you can actually SAMPLE!!! They are ALL good. The portions are plenty large to share. You essentially customize your own curry dish with your choice of meats, veggie options, and carbs (rice, noodles...). They also have some pre-made standard Thai dish to choose from as well. Its quickly become one of our favorite curry spots. The food has been consistent and delicious every time we've come. Heads-up, there is very minimal parking - its a very small lot that is shared with the 7-11 next door. read more

I had a taste for Thai and remembered driving by this new spot. The location is something to be desired, but the food and service is great. Inside was small but cute. They let you sample the curries and all were delicious. I had the panang, but can't wait to go back and try the others. I also got the mango sticky rice, I had never had it before and it was so good. First time trying CocoCurry and it was one of the best dining experiences We've had! Walked in and was greeted warmly at the counter AND offered different samples of their amazingly tasty curries! We ordered the Yellow and Massama and We could not believe how incredibly tasty each dish was! We chose chicken as our protein and those were so tender and delish! Had the khao soi with crispy chicken and my friend had panang with grilled chicken. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Make sure you get the limeade - it was so good. I wasn't in love with the cucumber or papaya salad sides and parking lot was miniature, but we were able to snag parking right in front of the door on a Sunday afternoon. The woman/owner running the front of house was amazing - working all by herself with grace. Will come again. read more

1st visit was excellent. When you walk into CoCoCury, there is a partition to your left that separates the dinning area from the walkway to the cashier. I like that there is a separation to allow guests some privacy while eating. This place looked clean & new. I asked if restaurant was part of a chain & they are not. They are small business The cashier/server asked is if it was our 1st time there.. & she was kind to provide us samples of each curry sauce they offered. I ordered the crispy pork belly with massaman cury with brown rice & BF ordered crispy duck with Khao soi over white rice. Side order of the papaya salad with fermented crab & mango with sticky rice. The curry was delicious, our server was attentive. Its was a positive experience & We will definitely be back. ** one thing to keep in mind which is not a deal breaker (IMO) is the parking. CoCoCurry is situated in a small business-like shopping center with limited parking. It may be a deterrent for some so plan accordingly. The owner of Vien Dong Market nearby highly recommended this place so we came to check it out. Loved their concept of giving out free samples of all their flavorful curries. 6 of them! Some we've never seen or tried at other Thai restaurants. And they made sure everyone in our party got a taste of each one. My first review of CoCoCurry was in early November (25 days ago) ago and now it's December so here's an update: Between last month and this month, they have RAISED the prices on their protein options by $5.00. What used to be affordable (with budget planning), is now a place that we will no longer frequent. The restaurant itself is very nice, impeccably clean, and the curries are delicious, but now, it no longer fits our budget so we won't be returning. read more

Our sever took our drink orders and appetizers a few minutes after we sat and had a chance to go over the menu. The food was delicious. Fresh, bold and unique. Every dish had it's own personality. The fried mushrooms with chili crisp was the standout dish. Our group all agreed it was fantastic! Even our friend who is not fond of mushrooms agreed! The matchas were delicious and especially matcha-y. The color was vibrant and I can tell they did not skimp on matcha powder. The only hiccup was that my entree (shared with my friend) took a very long time to arrive. Which was strange because it was a salad harvest bowl with fish protein. We were a little pressed for time since we were getting picked up for Mexico soon. We decided to cancel the order. The sever was well versed on service recovery. Not only did she remove the charge, she packed the bowl to go and offered us complimentary dessert. It was a berry panna cotta and it was superb. All and all it was a great start to Mother's Day. The ONLY reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 (and I'm usually a 5-star/1-star girlie) is that we haven't seen Cari, one of our favorite servers, in either of our last couple of visits. Over a year ago now, Cari stepped UP when I became faint and almost passed out on Nate's front deck. It was a hot day, I am BAD at drinking water but great at sweating; and as I stood up, I turned paper white and the world got fuzzy. Cari swooped in the moment she saw what was happening - making sure I was safely lying down, getting me hand sanitizer for my forehead and a wet cloth for the back of my neck (rapid cooling!), and orange juice for my fluid imbalance. I'm so SO glad Cari was there to take better care of me than I take of myself. I miss our nerdy conversations, and hope she'll be back soon!
