Shrimp paste dipping sauce was perfect for the dish. -Durian shake $6- made with a combo of powder and real fruit. It is such a comfort food place for me, having grown up eating Vietnamese dishes. The restaurant is clean and efficient. The banh beo (small steamed rice cakes with shrimp) and nuoc mam (fish sauce) it comes with is so good - you can either get each rice cake in separate bowls (as pictured), which is perfect for sharing, or just have them all on one plate altogether if you'd prefer to enjoy them all for yourself. Pour the fish sauce over the banh beo before eating! They have lots of options for bun bo hue (spicy Vietnamese noodle soup) depending on what toppings you want, and you can choose between the small and large size. Each bun bo hue dish comes with a side of bean sprouts, lettuce, and lemon that you can put into the broth. Their broth, meat, and noodles all taste very good. For my meal, I ordered the "Katsu Chicken Curry," which is chicken thigh meat battered in Panko breadcrumbs, deep fried until golden brown and crunchy. I got my meal with a half-and-half mix of white rice and brown rice. My meal was prepared perfectly, and it was incredibly delicious! My meal was concluded with some of their delicious ice cream, which satiated my post-meal sugar cravings. Our evening with friends was special and memorable, and our meals and service at Dao Fu made our evening even more pleasant and enjoyable.
