I thought this was going to be some trendy American shop (well, technically it was pretty trendy and had an Americanized appearance) but it was a cool, unique take on sugarcane juice in a very Vietnamese way. I'm a huge matcha fan and was super pleased to taste the deep matcha flavor in the Matcha drink I ordered, and combined with coconut water and sugarcane juice it was the perfect thirst quencher on a warm day! The coconut meat would've been better if it had been cut into smaller chunks rather than two giant pieces thrown in, but overall, the drink wasn't overly sweet and had great flavor. Came here for the first time after eating some MSG laden food from some restaurant in Bolsa. Needless to say I was parched and decided to try some sugar cane juice from Cococane since they had such stellar reviews. Let me tell you, one sip and you'll be hooked. I ordered the Cococane which is basically fresh sugar cane mixed with coconut juice and coconut bits. Regular size is $5. Awesome price considering the cup is pretty big and more importantly it was so delish- refreshing and satisfying. Not too sweet but so fresh tasting and of course did the job of quenching my thirst. This place is super hyped up and a go to for everyone, so I thought I'd try it. I got a small pure sugarcane juice and waited 25 minutes for my cup. Immediate taste was terrible. I love sugarcane juice, but this place didn't do me justice. I was expecting a lot from this place an obviously it didn't meet my expectations. My sugarcane juice tasted like it was 70% water and 30% sugarcane juice. It tasted extremely watered down. I also didn't get a whole lot of sugarcane juice because my cup was filled to the top with ice. Overall, the taste of it was awful and extremely watered down and in terms of size, even though it was a small cup I got very little. I don't think I'll be coming back. For 5 dollars for a large pure sugarcane juice this place definitely hits the spot for me. The amount of ice and the drink is evenly rationed out properly so I can't complain that they pour more ice than liquid into the cup. Their large size is equal to a trenta at Starbucks and most importantly the juice is fresh and it's not loaded with addItional sugar or preservatives. Service wise it's a grab and go service so don't expect and "frills and extras." You basically order your drink and get it and that it. The workers there are hard working and efficiently getting drinks out to customers so wait time is minimal for drinks and ordering. I will recommend this place due to the moneys-worth and for the amount of drink you can get. Interior decor is almost zero so don't expect a full blown instagram photoshoot setting cause you won't find it here. It's a basic store where you just buy your drink and go. read more

LOVE coming here! I am obsessed with Cococane. I have tried the Hawaiian, Original and Matcha. You can't go wrong with any of them. They also have a stamp card so you get a free drink if you frequent there. The workers are always very nice and they are generous with the coconut meat. Last year, this was a place I went to everyday when I wanted a refreshing drink after class. I haven't been here in several months, and now that I've returned, I did not have the best experience. First of all, my order was skipped over and every person who ordered after me received their drinks first. There were 4 people ahead and 3 people behind me who all received their drinks. Typically, I am not one who gets bothered enough to write a yelp review, however, this visit was really unpleasant. I have experienced long wait times for drinks but nothing comparable to this. All the customers had already left and my drinks were still not made. It was not until I went back to the counter and asked when my order was going to be done that they started to make my drinks. It was really frustrating that the person at the register was unapologetic and did not acknowledge their mistake. I ordered less ice and it seems as if the entire cup was filled with ice. Not only that, the quality of their drinks have really downgraded because it tastes completely watered down. Essentially, $6 for a large cup of water and slow service. It's sad to see the quality of this place going down. Ultimately, I am not returning to Cococane after this experience. read more

This was one of my favorite places to get drinks by far! I am a huge fan of matcha in general, and I love their matcha cococane! My friends also love the regular, Aruna and the passion fruit. I have introduced it to quite a few people and honestly it's pretty rare to find someone who doesn't like it. If you guys are on a time crunch, it's definitely best to call in to place your order as the wait can be long if it is during peak time. My only thing is I wish they were a little more consistent when they make the drinks. Sometimes it tastes different than other times. A little hard to find but finally came and it was pretty busy. Waited 20-30 minutes for our drinks. We got the regular Cococane and the pennywort Cococane. Super refreshing and the coconut slices we're soft and delicious! (something that we don't find that often for coconuts in Socal). Makes sense why there's so many people who wanted drinks from here.
