After talking to her, I could tell she knew really did understand our needs . She even provided in detail the steps she takes to avoid cross contamination and she provided a list of ingredients used, so we could cross check. Dealing with Lori was so nice. Lori told me how and why she COULD do the things we needed done, instead of so many other bakeries that told me why they couldn't, or what I would have to settle with/for. The chocolate cake was light and fluffy and my fork easily cut right through it. Lori is also gifted at cake decorating. As I said, I needed a theme cake, the request was for an Outlander related cake with the stones. Outlander is not my thing, I had no idea what I needed. So Lori did some research and presented an excellent design option very quickly. She brought the solution to me where other bakeries were looking to me, and I had no idea. I appreciated Lori making it really, really simple for me. The cake was ready on time and in a sturdy box. When I got the cake home my wife saw the cake and was very pleased especially with the stones on top and the designs on the side and top the top...she said it was PERFECT!!! Lori and Baker on the Block did an awesome job of making me look like one smart husband!!! Baker on the Block can definitely create a cake for any occasion! Her prices are very reasonable.
