She also messed up my brows and covered her mistake with the tint. Today takes the cake tho and I highly doubt I will return. I've been to Bombay Cordova and on Park for years...never a problem. They were always Very professional. Clean work areas. That is not the case with the Southaven location. First let's start with the location. It's not clean, it's dirty, not inviting at all...no salon decor like the other locations. There's always a stinky smell like someone recently pinched one off or took a dump. I'm sitting here currently waiting on the young lady to go get tint for my brows that she just threaded. She's been gone nearly 20 minutes and I'm just listening to them stand in the hallway talking as if their lobby isn't full. She just got back...I remind her that I also want my chin threaded. She's so busy talking that it takes her 20 mins to apply the tint to my brows...she tells me to sit somewhere else while my tint settles and I remind her again that I wanted my chin threaded. She sighs as if I just asked to borrow her wallet! I keep my warm demeanor bc if it weren't for my engagement photos that I'm taking tomorrow I would've walked out and just went somewhere else but she's already threaded me at this point. I just need the tint.I just despise blatant obvious bad customer service. And playing and talking as if you don't have customers literally waiting on you to finish their service. I've never had anyone take that long to get tint for brows. And when I tried to ask the older lady who did my brows the last time if she could check On the young lady getting my tint and she totally ignored me. I only had to wait 8 mins to be seen but it took her more than 50 mins to thread my brows and apply tint bc she played and talked the entire time. Not to mention either she used a stinky towel to wipe off the tint or it was her. She didn't have the boo-boo scent before she applied the tint but now I'm wondering if she pooped while my tint was resting and it got on her fingers....ugh. Never going back and I don't like my brows!

I have been getting my eyebrows and upper lip threaded for 20 plus years all over the country. I have never received such poor service. I was even THREATENED not once but TWICE! I requested eye brows and upper lip. The lady threaded my eyebrows. Then proceeded to apply WAX to my upper lip. I did not request any waxing. She did not apologize. She removed the wax then proceeded to thread my upper lip. She should have not proceeded to thread the lip where the wax was applied. The skin is more sensitive after the wax was applied but she did. Afterwards she applied some scented product to my lip. I HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN!!! I asked her what she applied. She mentioned baby oil. She did not ask if I have sensitive skin or any skin concerns. She said I did not put anything on my paperwork. There was no paperwork or consultation provided prior to the service. I requested her name and manager information but she refused. I took her picture for reference. She put her finger in my face, threatened to break my phone, and do physical harm. Horrible service!! No way any customer should be treated this way!

There was no music playing, no conversations and as a matter of fact no one greets you once inside. (Reason for the star removal) Luckily, I did not have to wait too long before being called. Ruby took care of my brows and she did a wonderful job! I have thick brows that can be a bit difficult to tame, but she handled them really well and did not thin them out or chop off the ends. This was a good option for me in the Southaven area and will be my choice going forward whenever I don't feel like traveling out to Cordova.

This is a review of the business, both corporate and Memphis franchise ownership. I signed up for S Pass and didn't use it as much as I thought I would, ending up with over $300 in credit for services. I asked the manager if it would be possible to pause membership and still use my credit before resuming. She told me that she could remove my payment method from the account, the membership would still be active, I could use my credit, and add a payment method back later on. Perfect. Except that not only did this suspend my membership, and so did not work the way it was explained to me, in the intervening month the entire program was discontinued. Corporate headquarters informed me that (though when signing up for the Pass there was no indication that I was entering a contract with anyone other than the corporate entity), they took no responsibility for this or the fact that there was NO NOTIFICATION of the termination of the program sent to members. They flatly refused any assistance and told me it was the Memphis franchisee's responsibility to resolve the issue. I called the manager again. She returned my call saying that I could at least begin paying the monthly fee again and not be out the over $300 that I had lost. I went into the store to do so and had booked a service as well. When I arrived, I was informed that I could not, in fact, do this. I was provided a free service that day (the manager, to be fair, was as helpful as I think she was able to be at this point), but am still out a fair amount of money. I hate that I cannot continue to visit Tiana for service - again, she is fantastic - but I cannot give business to an establishment that wouldn't even offer to split the difference on a gift card to keep a loyal customer.

Prior to my first visit, I received conventional waxing services but not sugar waxing. I have heard of the term without the knowledge of the full benefits. That's until a Soror, who's the owner of the Memphis and soon to be Midtown location explained thoroughly. Which encouraged me to give it a try. In short term it's like comparing fruits and vegetables to organic verse none organic. Sugaring is applied to the body temperature minimizing discomfort, still treats discoloration, the clean up is effortless with water and eliminates the usage of tongue depressors. *That's if you're a zero waste savvy.*. Unlike conventional wax is composed of rubber resins and other potentially harmful chemicals. All of my six visits were serviced by Danielle, loved her! Unfortunately she's no longer working at the franchise in efforts of receiving her degree. Which I salute and applaud her because school isn't for the weak! My last two recent visits were serviced by Sarah. Professional, personable and comforting through her words of encouragement. I'm elaborating the word "comforting " because if you're a first time wax (conventional or sugaring) client it could be misleading as everyone's tolerance level towards pain varies. I can say the more consistence the better for the benefits of less pain, becoming more comfortable with the process including your waxer and the swift of hair removal. This location is always promoting special offers on the website or the chalkboard as you walk into the studio. Sugaring NYC's motto "Once you try Sugaring, you will never go back to waxing" is one of the truest statements I can vouch for.
