The nails were so horribly done, I had to get them redone at another salon. I could go on and on on about the horrible design and botched paint job for my nails-BUT- what is more importsnt is the unsanitary work conditions that resulted in my boyfriend having the most disgusting infected toenail, that he had to go to urgent care to get taken care of. The pedicure resulted in an incredibly infected toenail that was pus filled and had to be drained, and part of the toenail had to be removed. He was also given antibiotics and told he has to come get the infected toenail checked out again in a week. I contacted the nail salon about this and requested a refund and they told me basically to get lost and if I wanted a refund to "call the police". DO NOT GO HERE. Absolutely the worst nail salon I have ever been to, only go here if you want to be treated terribly and leave with a horrible infection and an urgent care bill.

I like that she talks through what she's doing since I really enjoy learning about the treatments and ingredients and the reasoning behind them. I've learned a lot about how skin functions biologically and how I can keep taking care of it at home. The results are definitely superior to other spas, where they give you a peel just because you scheduled a peel, nevermind what your skin actually needs. I've been going here since the beginning of 2019, when my pregnancy wreaked havoc on my skin. Ellie is very knowledgeable about how to manage skin going through a lot of hormone changes, as well as tailoring treatments to be pregnancy-safe. I got that pregnancy glow instead of a face full of breakouts after the first session but went every month to keep up with the rapid hormonal changes and to maintain that glow. I've kept it up through other big hormonal changes in my life since then--postpartum, breastfeeding, getting on birth control, getting off birth control--and also added eyebrow shaping and tint to what I get done. My poor brows got overplucked ONCE in high school and never recovered but after a year of regular monthly sessions, they are starting to fill in a little bit and look intentionally shaped.

The salon suite area that SpaBlu is located in now has easy parking, and I never feel like I have to fight traffic to get into the place. The waiting room is small, but I've never been waiting for more than 10 minutes. Maryanne is transparent, thorough, and has never made me feel weird about being completely pants-less on a high table for a Brazilian wax. She is incredibly knowledgeable about skincare.
