I love Coco Loco Snow Cones. I live a few minutes from them and my kids and I stop by here every chance we get. They have a variety of things on their menu. From snow cones, to chamoy covered apples, nachos, Cheetos pies, etc. They are small business owned and they do not have many workers so you do have to go with some spare time. However, they are the friendliest to their customers. It might just be a snow cone shop that offers many other cravings but to my family and I they have been more than just that. They provide us with craving satisfaction, a little moment to spend with family, and making our little ones happy. I am sure they provide our community with the same thing. They go out of there way to have a clean space in and out. I once heard a client say that their Tamarindo snow cone reminded them of their hometown in Mexico and how everything else she had bought from them tasted so authentic. I agreed with that comment so much because it has been the only snow cone place I have been attached to because it reminded me of my childhood summers in Mexico where you would go outside and enjoy a on the spot shaved iced snow cone. The ambience is calm and if you want to enjoy your food there you can sit in the tables they have outside under the trees. The area is not the most safe in the city but they make sure to have a security guard from open time to closing time which makes you feel safe every time you are there. No need to worry about something bad happening to you or your kids. This is one of the most important things that they have and I believe they have tried to improve the community in this way because local residents just want to have a nice outing without any incidents happening. South Houston does not have many businesses that will go out of there way for its customers so I value those small things whenever they do. I have gone to other snow cone shops in the area and for the most part I end up regretting it. They either have low quality items in their menu, service is bad, the place is dirty, and among other complaints. One time I was closer to another snow cone shop (I will not be naming them not be to mean) so I decided to stop by and I ordered nachos. I couldn't even finish one nacho because they were so stale and the cheese was very cold. I know many other snow cone places that are just this way and do not value their customers which is why I always choose Coco Loco because they will make sure to provide each customer with the best possible outcome and I have no complaints about the quality of their food and delicious snacks. read more
