There was a very long line but very many options. The service was great! We got our order in less than 2 minutes once we ordered. The building was small but the vibe was very welcoming. Yesterday we had a truck from the AJ Cones come into our community-that was a really welcome- a hot summer day like this one we were really looking forward to a break from sitting at home, a break from the heat or break just to go out and see people and then the truck was there with snow cones! Yummy ... surprise ! I got the Chamoyada and my friend got a mango and a watermelon snowcone mine was supposedly a slushy already and I added pinacolada flavor to it, I really like the Chamoy taste it was sweet and tangy but I think the quantity for me was too huge I wish they had a small cup option even in this one like the others. The other one we got was mango and watermelon combination. It was so beautifully colorful . The actual order was infact for orange and watermelon, never mind, a snow cone is a snow cone right...It was fun. Great Snowcones, good snacks, fast service! If there's a long line, that's a sign! The drive thru is confusing. There are two ways you can drive thru, I saw a lot of cars confused like us. Please try the pickadilly if you like tamarind/tajin flavor. I had it with strawberry. The corn is alright, tastes like canned corn. The tamarindo flavor is natural and so good. So I made it up to the window 45 mins. Later and realize there are only 2 people working inside. One is taking orders on both windows and one is making them, they truly need 2 machines running. Came here on a Thursday afternoon. There were no cars in front of us. The owner is very nice and she was very patient with me when I asked for some time to look at the menu. I ended up getting a medium strawberry flavored cone with additional soft serve. When it came out, I was immediately surprised. For its price, I was able to get a really big portion. I loved that the soft serve was distributed throughout the cone and you didn't have to dig all the way to the bottom to get soft serve. Recently discovered and I'm hooked. I've been during different times & days of the week and there has always been a wait. On average it's 45 minutes, keep in mind there are two drive thru windows. It's a nice treat on these insanely hot summer days. Aj's has two drive thru lines so don't get confused if you see a car coming at the lane you're in from the front. Service can be a little slow but it's worth the wait. Prices are crazy cheap so order everything. We got a mangonada and the jacked up pickles. "Treat Yo Self" should be the slogan for this place. Finally a place close to Pasadena where you can get the hot cheeto elote (x-tream corn) and the Picktos which is the hot cheetos topped with nacho cheese and pickles! It was amazing! The Snowcones are fantastic. Texture is very smooth and they're very generous with syrup. However, after waiting for 90 minutes, I'm not sure I'd come back. We were behind about 12 cars and I decided to time wait times. ON AVERAGE, each car moves every 6.5 minutes. Those that ordered 1 item or maybe 2 were at the window for 2-3 minutes. We ordered 5 and the car in front of us had 5 items, those times were 6-8 minutes before moving. This data is based on about 12 cars to give an average wait time (on Sunday) of 6.5 minutes PER car. We'd come back if there were maybe 4 cars, definitely not if we see more than that. This is just a caution to those that may be coming here for the first time :) read more

The sno cone price is a little more than another sno cone place we have gone to if their line is too long in the summer. That other place doesn't usually have a line. Finally tried AJ's. Normally the drive-thru is wrapped around the little building but the line was short because it was almost closing time. They had a great selection and friendly service. It did take longer than expected but it was tasty and cheap. We ordered a small mango snow cone, a medium Superman, and a mangonada, totaling to $7.00. Very refreshing on a hot day like this.
