I'm of the same opinion as previous YELP reviewer Rick L, I kind of hate to draw attention to this place However, it's really too good not to share. When we checked in, the lovely Ma. Eva showed me around the grounds and pointed out where we would find everything we needed. For example; they provide drinking water to refill your water pitcher and ice trays. She also shared a local map with me. On it she had highlighted the banks, grocery stores and recommend restaurants. While all this was happening, my boyfriend was talking with one of the owners Stephan. Turns out they grew up in the same neighborhood in Petaluma...small world in deed! Our room was clean, comfortable and all the amenities (air conditioning) we needed for an incredibly relaxing stay. There was a full kitchen with everything I needed to prepare coffee and breakfast in the mornings which we enjoyed on our own little porch with a view of the pool. Our room got checked daily, bed made and garbage taken out with full service half way through our stay. Daily full service can be requested as desired. The hotel has free WiFi, a book sharing area, 2 pools (1 heated, the other not), 2 bbq areas with outdoor eating areas, and pool are towels provided. The rooms also have TV with DVD players and CDs to check out from the office. We met great people here, many of them were repeat customers and we felt like we had joined an ongoing party. Had a great time here at cocos cabanas! We stayed for a week with beautiful weather! Stephan the owner and his manager treated us well with all of our requests! Stephen arranged fishing trips for us with 2great skippers. We caught cabrilla, yellowtail, and the biggest pargo I've ever seen to 30 lbs! The cabana was great with all of the American amenities! We prepared some meals in our full kitchen with ample room, frig, stove , plates etc! Great Mexican coffee was in our room too! Lovely place. Stayed 5 nights. The staff kept our cabin tidy. They have movies to watch and books to read. You can walk to eating places from here. Powerful shower and good little front patio. They don't allow you to have friends at the pool and we weren't told about the warmer larger pool until our 4th day there. The small pool near our cabin was really cold. read more

Perfect place to stay! Close to everything, large 2 bedroom , 3 bath condo style room. Very clean & comfy!

I am almost afraid to disclose this little hidden gem in Loreto in fear that it will become too popular. It is off the beaten path and down a dirt road with only a small yellow sign high on a telephone pole to even indicate it's existence. Once you meander down the lonesome road, past the yipping dogs and clucking chickens, you will come to a gate that will take you to a world away. The property consists of several small "cabanas" clustered around a small pool. Above the property is a cluster of larger "casitas" which offer larger accommodations for families. The accommodations are fairly sparse, but offer all of the amenities that one needs for an extended stay. The host, Stephan, provides freshly ground complementary coffee in your room, along with filtered water for your convenience, which is greatly appreciated, so that you don't have to lug heavy water and ice back to your provided refrigerator. The kitchen is adequately equipped for an average small meal preparation. Three outdoor propane grills are available to grill your daily catch or any of the groceries available at the local Super Ley Express Market. The most enjoyable part of the Coca Cabanas experience is the tranquility one feels from the relative isolation of this off the beaten path location. If you want to experience the feel of the ambiance of a small, sleepy Mexican fishing town, by all means, Coco Cabanas is for you. If all you want is night life and an all English experience, the all inclusive resorts are for you. Your loss, my gain! read more

My wife and I have stayed twice and have loved it both times. The last time was for two weeks in late October to early November 2021. It is a terrific place with a pool, quiet, well kept, friendly, helpful staff, and an easy walk to every place in Loreto. We have friends with a home in Loreto Bay with whom we have stayed, which is nice, but it's always fun and interesting in Loreto. If you plan to stay/visit Loreto the Coco Cabanas is a great place to hang your sombrero as it were. read more
