Rooms are large and reasonably clean, not fancy or American Sandard, no fridge/micro but resaturants all around. They have AC, hot water, WiFi and Mexican tv. Rooms are upstairs and encircled by a huge old-world looking balcony with seating and a great view of the street below. The street will be somewhat noisy in the morning! Beds aren't great, but ok. They will let you look at the accomodations before you pay. They have more rooms across the street but I haven't seen those yet. There is parking behind, but you might have to park where you can, and move in the evening. I'm a repeat customer and have always been able to do this. Great deal for the price, and I really like this little place.

Its more of a boutique hotel in a quiet area surrounded by hills and close to the water. Great views of the imposing mountains are right outside your door and their pool is refreshingly perfect. The patio is beautiful as is the upper deck where you can enjoy the evening breeze. Your choice off the menu for breakfast is provided at Orlando's Restaurant a block away. Orlando is the owner/ operator of both Casa Mangos and the restaurant. He lives in an apartment on site and is very attentive to ensure you have what you need. You get what you pay for and this is true here, not the cheapest but worth it. This was my second visit and new this year compared to last year's visit is high speed internet, all new comfy beds, fresh paint and some new artwork inside. Also my room had a new larger refrigerator and a new AC/Heater which was whisper quiet and super cold. The new murals around the courtyard and pool are beautiful and add to the colorful plants and palm trees between each casita. Booking a casita is a little harder than some hotels as you have to contact the hotel via email - they do not use any of the booking services such as Trip adviser or Booking.com. Unfortunately this means you cannot tell when rooms are available on the internet. But the calendar is on their official Casita website so just Google El Tiburon Casitas and the availability calendar is right there. Highly recommend these casitas for singles or couples looking for upscale lodging Loreto, in fact I am already booking for whale season with friends next year before they fill up!

She gave us a tour of Loreto so we could get a feel of where things were. Showing us the best restaurants and the most awesome homemade ice cream parlor. Liz arranged for a boat tour for us and let us know all the local happenings around the area. The Casita was equipped with everything you could imagine in a kitchen. I could have baked cookies if I was thus inclined, and the staff came in and cleaned every day. It was lovely having our morning coffee outside in the courtyard and with a heated pool you could swim at any time of the day. With a well stocked library and movies if you just wanted to stay at the casitas and relax you need not look anywhere else. Close by the town square and the marina, everything was within walking distance. We have already booked a 2 week stay next year we were so impressed with the service and room. The unit that we stayed in was a donated week from a member. Overall, we enjoyed our time. We didn't leave the resort at all, as we needed a week to recoup and my husband also worked part time during our trip. We felt very welcomed. There was a special concierge desk for check in. We added three nights of the all inclusive package (we did a la carte otherwise). We were then ushered off to an "activities presentation" which was really just a gear up for booking us a time share presentation. Let me get one thing clear: We are not time share people, nor will we ever be. The incentive of additional resort credit was pretty tempting and the margaritas they were serving us were decently strong. Our room was really nice, albeit a bit dark. It had a huge gated patio which you could access the pool. The kitchen was okay for a week's stay but we weren't planning on cooking. Overall, very comfortable. The pools: nice temperature for October. A few too many kids for my liking (what are you gonna do?). Drinks were extremely watered down and service was spotty at times. The restaurants: I'll try and do some separate reviews but the crux of it were that the two main restaurants were great and the buffet was quite bad. Service: 5/5 stars. Very friendly and accommodating. Vibe: pleasant except A LOT (tons) of construction going on around the resort so pretty noisy. The client base were pretty chill. Not upscale but not low brow either. There's a market onsite to buy most things. Some which were really expensive, some were reasonable. My biggest complaint was the timeshare presentation. Absolutely NOT worth it. Super high pressure sales. Made us feel like we were being cheap and missing out. They tried every trick in the book. My advice: always tell these people that you don't make decisions on the spot without discussing privately. This seemed to really piss them off. The shuttle service to and from the resort was pretty pricey, but unless you're renting a car, there really aren't any other options. The views of the ocean and terrain around the property are absolutely gorgeous. Bottomline: this is a great resort if you're not looking for the nonstop wild party vibe of Cancun or other resort town. It's really chill. Avoid the timeshare and the buffet.

THE GOOD - Beautiful property with several pools and beach…read moreaccess -- it's a great place to relax - While I have a couple of gripes about the all-inclusive package (see below), I generally think it's worth the money, especially for the kayaking and paddleboarding on-site - Throughout the trip, all of the staff members were very kind and friendly to our party - Most of the food and drinks were good (there were a couple of exceptional items, like the steak tacos, and a couple of misses) - The gym has lots of equipment - Rooms are cleaned and well-maintained THE BAD - BUGS -- our group got lots of mosquito bites on our visit, and there were flies buzzing around the pool at all hours; additionally, there are lots of crickets and moths, and the room doors don't fully seal, so it's not uncommon to come home at night and find a cricket or two in your room - Poolside food/drink service is a great idea, but they are seriously understaffed in this area, so it took over an hour on multiple occasions to have food delivered on multiple occasions (over two hours in one instance) - Golf course looks immaculate, but is very overpriced ($575 USD for one round) -- would have loved to play, but for that price, you can play some of the nicest courses in the world instead - Two gripes I have with the all-inclusive pass: 1) unlike all other all-inclusive resorts I've been to where you walk in, get food, and leave as you like, this place makes you flag down a waiter and sign a check, which is frustrating because there are not a lot of staff who oversee the entire restaurant. 2) The steakhouse and several dishes at the sushi restaurant require additional payments on top of the all-inclusive pass. Feels like a nickel-and-dime type way to make money when the resort is already charging roughly $500+ per night for 2-person all-inclusive packages.

There's a pool and they do fishing excursions as well; their boat was parked on the premises - check out the Fb page to see their pics. Also dog friendly, and the proprietors were very people-friendly too : ) A very pretty, CLEAN, comfy, low-key, convenient little place, I fully recommend. It is directly on the street, and next to a bar, so be aware you may hear noise from them; it didn't bother me.
