Dear Claudia Hernandez- Management Team, I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment with the customer service and overall experience during our recent stay at Loreto Bay Golf. My wife and I arrived with great excitement for our trip to Loreto, but unfortunately, our experience at the hotel fell far below reasonable expectations. We arrived at 1:30 PM and were informed that our room would be ready at 3:00 PM, which was perfectly acceptable. After a light meal at the outdoor restaurant, we returned to the front desk at 3:00 PM along with several other guests who had checked in at the same time. We were assigned room 225, but upon arrival, our electronic key did not work, while the guest in the neighboring room entered his without issue. This began a long and frustrating ordeal. I returned to the front desk three separate times for new keys, none of which worked. After 45 minutes of attempting to access our room, I requested a room change. Instead of addressing the issue promptly, I was told to wait for the Bell Boy. During this time, the female front desk employee appeared disengaged, taking selfies while the male employee handled the situation alone. I had to ask four times for an update before the Bell Boy finally arrived, only to discover that he also could not access the room. It took yet another set of keys before the door finally opened. We were told that the issue was caused by us placing the room keys next to our cell phones, which supposedly deactivated them. However, the maintenance employee placed his master key directly next to his own phone without any issue. Additionally, we later were told that multiple rooms were experiencing the same problem, that's why changing rooms wouldn't solve the problem, however, people on our floor were coming in and out of their rooms with no apparent issue, which raises concerns about the accuracy of the explanation and why we were not offered a different room sooner. Unfortunately, the problems did not end there. After leaving the hotel briefly and returning an hour later to get ready for dinner, we once again could not enter our room. It took staff nearly two hours to resolve the issue, ultimately requiring them to disassemble the lock entirely just so we could retrieve our belongings. Only then were we moved to room 211. In room 211, the hot water never warmed beyond freezing cold, and when we returned from dinner, the door opened but the noise coming from above the room was extremely loud, like a helicopter taking off. It became clear why this room had not been offered to us initially. Later that evening, we attempted to use the hot tub, only to find it dangerously overheated, easily hot enough to cause burns. A young girl who entered after us could only tolerate it for seconds. This was not only unacceptable but potentially hazardous. To make matters worse, someone attempted to enter our room late that night, insisting it was theirs. When I called the front desk to report this serious security concern, the only response I received was, "Sorry to bother you." This series of issues from repeated lock failures, inaccurate explanations, lack of professionalism at the front desk, unsafe facilities, and a significant security breach; made our stay extremely stressful and disappointing. What should have been a relaxing and enjoyable trip turned into a series of preventable problems. I am sharing this feedback not out of anger, but because these issues reflect serious operational and safety concerns that deserve immediate attention. I hope you will take this matter seriously and address the systemic problems that contributed to our experience. read more

I have no idea if Mexico has a health department that checks on Hotels. We were at this hotel for four nights checking in on Wednesday and checking out on Sunday. They gave us room number 130, the bathrooms floor were was wet from the running toilet water in the bathroom, we also saw rat droppings in our room. I asked for the manager (Claudia) to let her know, after letting one of the staff members at the counter know about the problems, I was told she's busy in a meeting. Our room was changed to room number 107, when we walked in it had a musty smell. After a couple of hours, we realize big bubbles on the ceiling and the and dripping water from the second floor room into our room (see pictures). When we told the counter again about the problem, they gave us our third room in two days. This was supposed to be a four day vacation. It turned into a four day disaster. Regarding the restaurant, they have limited breakfast, three items on the menu. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, the only one good thing they have is the beach, and nothing else. read more

I've been waiting an hour and 15 minutes to check in as it takes 15 to 20 minutes to check in each person. It's absolutely ridiculous as as four people behind the counter and they're just standing around while someone works on the computer. We got day passes for the family. We wanted to spend the day swimming and relaxing. There was no welcome or explanation of amenities. The pool was too cold to even wade in. The hot tub was dirty and lukewarm. They messed up our tab every time we ordered. The two at the front desk were unhelpful in every way even after we complained. Poor service. read more

This place should not be called a resort or a spa (there is no spa.) Pools and hot tub are not heated. No heat in rooms. Rooms are not cleaned well (found 2 trash items under desk and bathroom sink area.) Restaurant for dinner is outside, so too cold and food is not that good. This place could be nice if they even put a little effort into. It is on beach. If you end up staying there, go to wine bar for dinner across from hotel. 1. 75% of the staff was rude. For being in the hospitality business they were horrible. 2. Pool was disgusting, filled with chicken wing bones, hair , and bugs. We even offered to skim it for them and they turned their head the other way. 3. They charged us approx 30 bucks as a fine for drinking our beers at their pool! Pool bar was suppose to be open at 12. Everyone waited. We had some beers in our ice chest so we took them down there to later be scolded by their manager. She was rude and pool rules should be displayed . 4. This hotel was horrible but was quite pricy! The rooms were barely cleaned, coffee cups and glasses weren't washed, and the towels old and frayed. At the very least, you would expect hot water which was lukewarm at best (forget about taking a shower at night!) ... their walls so thin that people talking on the 2nd floor sounded like they were in our room on the 1st floor! We paid an extra $14/day each for breakfast and their food was so bad we only tried it once and they refused to refund the rest. Their one restaurant was only open for that wonderful breakfast and the rest of the time you would have to order from their outside pool side bar. Further, they have an advertised sports bar with happy hour listed on a board and yet when asked, stated it was only open on special occasions? And what spa?? The pool was NOT heated and their kayak paddles were locked-up so they could charge you to use them. What makes it worse, advertised hours for use were 9-3pm but the lady controlling the key worked her own hours... causing us to give up at 9:45 when she still didn't show. UNSAFE, DIRTY, RUDE and UNFRIENDLY - DO NOT GO!!!! The staff of this resort led people from outside resort to our rooms in the middle of the night, demanding money. They gave personal information including name and room number to local hoodlums. When we complained, they barely acknowledged it and said the manager will come see us. He never came, no mater how many times we asked. They were rude and refused to provide shampoo and conditioner to some of our group members from when we first came in the rooms. The "security" guard was following some of our group everywhere, taking pictures of us. They didn't have food or drinks (not even water) available between 9 and 12:30 PM, so we went to get some things from the outside while hanging out at the pool and they told us that we can not bring anything from outside at the pool. They made us pay for ice, then told us that we can't have ice chest holding waters drinks and food. convenient store was closed almost the whole time. I complained about my sheets being dirty, so they changed it for some more dirty. Someone obviously had sex on the pillow sheets they gave me. The pool towels were rags. Breakfast was nasty. I ordered continental breakfast. the toasts were stale and the jam expired. THIS IS NOT A 5-STAR HOTEL. I HAVE STAYED IN 2Star HOTELS NICER The location was AMAZING. If I could give zero stars I would. Property is a mess and in bad condition. Not friendly to people from US. Customer service was horrible, and wouldn't answer any questions. Pool service was horrible, no service for 30 min while sitting in pool area. Five employees were at the bar , some on their phone, one was drinking a beer . Pool was dirty, jacuzzi was not working . Towels were not readily available , most of the time they ran out. Security guard Carlos was polite and cleaning the gym , bringing us toilet paper . They are very short staffed . Bell boys are also very polite ! Balcony in the room was dirty and dusty. Grounds were not well maintained, dirty , dry patches everywhere, multiple pieces of trash on grounds. TRAVELERS BEWARE-- our stay was for 4 days. Our room was on the first floor, the bathroom smelled like raw sewage, it was impossible to be in there without holding your breath. There was lukewarm warm water from the shower the first night, none the next morning and all day. Very little staff I saw working here. Front desk agents both days were completely useless and apathetic. Can't answer questions or get maintenance. Phone in room didn't work or no-one answers. Either is possible. Shop at Resort was never open from Thursday- Sunday = no drinking water for our room. No potable water present in the room. Room was outdated, sheets were dirty, actual hair ( not mine) and dirt in sheets. Floor hadn't been mopped in a while guessing from debris on ground when we arrived. Booger or DNA material on the wall/ headboard. Patio had not been swept or cleaned in a while as debris was everywhere. The pool was cold and the hot tub was broken. The breakfast was ok, included in the room. The nachos and drinks were not great at all from the pool bar, only food in resort. Breakfast restaurant is only open for breakfast. Location was good, but a long cab ride to town for services ( food- water). We left after the second day, stayed at La Mission hotel. I would've rather slept on the beach in town. Cannot describe the awful smell, we tried a car scent thing to help, but nothing did. The hotel itself is super old and needs maintenance everywhere. Highly recommend this place. We were a party of 4 adults and we booked a two bed deluxe room on the first floor. The best part about it was that we would open our window, walk about 2 minutes through the well maintained grass and pool area, and bam! we were on the beach, which is very private, the water is warm, and the waves are calm. We came the first week of November. Cleanliness: The water in the pool and the ocean were very clean. Our room was fully cleaned everyday by 3pm. 2 bed deluxe bedroom: HUGE shower 2 queen sized beds White sheets TV with cable Slide door window Quiet Plugs in bathroom and bedroom are same as USA Food & beverage: They have swim up bar service where you can order drinks while being in the pool. The fajitas and the guacamole from the pool kitchen were delicious!! Oh! The bar staff will serve you at the beach too so you can be sun tanning and have direct table service. Room service is quick, inexpensive, and good food. The front desk is pleasant, they provide clean towels whenever you need them. The cleanliness of the rooms are top notch. Cactus restaurant I wouldn't recommend. The food is lacking flavor. The service is slow. They do not have an espresso machine or fresh juices/smoothies. Tianfu Spa: HIGHLY RECOMMEND booking with Carolina. She uses heat, oils, acupuncture, deep tissue, and relaxing all in one session. We all felt great after each session. Surrounding areas: Located near a 700 high end housing complex, there are plenty of restaurants walking distance. We specially loved Ocotillo Restaurant and La Estrella cafe. The hotel is surrounded by a luscious green golf course, the ocean, and mountains. We bought a day pass to enjoy the pool, and let me tell you it was not worth it at all. The pools were dirty, with trash and a filthy film covering them. Cabanas were dirty, looked like the sheets on them had not been changed for a few days. The service was horrible, the waiter literally charged us 400 pesos over our tab, and didn't want to show me the receipt. I had to add everything up my self and show them that I was being over charged, that's when I received my refund, and still they had an attitude when issuing the refund. Bathrooms were dirty, with mosquitoes everywhere. I came out of there with bites all over my legs. I will most definitely never return. I come to Loreto yearly, been to Loreto bay a few times and this place is definitely going down hill. I do not recommend this place at all. read more

I hardly know where to begin to convey how bad this hotel is. It is complete dis-repair and and totally dis-functional. I was moved twice, once for jack hammering right next door and second for filth and NO HOT WATER ! I never got hot water. There were no blankets, hand towels or luggage rack. The front desk ignored me ( obviously overwhelmed ), and, to top it off, I was charged $138, which is outrageous in this part of Mexico, even for a great hotel. I was told these were Expedia prices, which I had no idea I was going through...thought I was dealing with the hotel directly....very confusing on line. The swimming pool was not heated, nor was the hot tub ! Supposedly, this hotel is owned by Carlos Slip, the richest man in Mexico. He should be ashamed of himself -- the hotel should be shut down. Pasamos aquí varias noches, y después de un día no hicieron el servicio de cuarto porque ya era muy tarde y no alcanzaron. Después de dos días y que al fin se hizo el servicio en los cuartos ni las sábanas de la cama cambiaron. Esto me deja sin duda que incluso llegamos a unos cuartos que seguro ni sábanas limpias tenían. Este hotel si que ah decepcionado, sin hablar de lo antigenico que es el restaurante. Muy mal servicio incluso en los restaurantes que uno paga adicional, no es como que va incluido. Ni hielo a uno le quieren dar como se supone que deben. Ah, pero si eres americano te van a tratar mejor. Regresando a las habitaciones como puedes ver, según con vista al mar puedes ver cómo una capa de polvo tapa literal toda la vista. Lamentablemente no hay muchas opciones aquí para hospedarse, esa es la razón que todo esto se deja pasar en este hotel. View stupendous, service shocking. Pros: amazing view (Chula Vista), peaceful/quiet, hot shower (not always the case In Mexico), gorgeous landscaping, clean, affordable. Cons: never experienced such bad service in all my travels (food never arrived 2x, no extension of hospitality of any kind at bar, restaurant, kayak and bike rentals, or front desk), poor communication (in Spanish or English), price quotes inconsistent, hot tub cold with no working lights or jets, no night time lighting (arrived at night...this was hazardous...bring flash light), entrance undefinable, 7 channels only on TV. By far was the worst hotel I ever been. Poor customer service and high price on everything, of course I wasn't expecting cheap price hotel based on the location but this place is not recommended do not waste your money . Manager on duty didn't resolve an issue we had when my small bag with my wallet ids and some other items was left on one of the pool area and he clearly stated that one person was caught on camera and he just there was nothing they can do. If you are ever involved in a situation like this they will just not do anything to help , they will just say that you are free to proceed and call cops to see their cameras ( of course after evidence are deleted) Employees: same employee in different departments ( saw the same lady at the restaurant a night before and she was early morning working at the golf course ) insane but all their employees looked fatigued and not happy on how this corporate or management are treating them. POOR people and hope god bless them and they can really take advantage of the money they stole from my wallet . I am happy with my life, blessed and sharing my experience here so non of you go there and be disappointed. read more

This has not been the ideal accommodation we expected for the price we have paid. We had to switch rooms three times due to the following issues. No safe in rooms. AC not working, the dirt piled in the middle of rooms, shower head squirting water outside of its containment, the slider door not locking while on the first floor, hair on coffee cups, the room was not clean, and no handles on the closet door, a handle falling off while going to open the closet. The shower head shot out to the middle of the bathroom and not all in the shower. The shower head was not cleaned. The Patio was not clean, the staff was awful. The staff were always on their phones and had to clean up after ourselves or go and get certain items ourselves. I felt that we and the other guests were being ignored. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. For instance I asked for coffee from a server three feet away and she ignored me while other looked up from their phone and right back down. Terrific pool and bar at the pool The food at the restaurant was tremendous. The mole was as good as in oaxaca. Love the open spaces and snorkeling literally steps away. Amazing wild life with porpoises, herons, and we even saw a puffer fish. read more

The beach location is amazing and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately the poolside dining is lacking. The food tastes awful. Somehow every dish we tried missed the mark. The refried beans clearly came from a can as did the jalapeños. Not tasty. I ordered a pina colada but it was oddly bitter. I saw them making the drink. They used a mix and canned pineapple juice. The service was not friendly by any stretch of the imagination but I can understand why. If I was serving really bad food I wouldn't be doing it with a smile. This is our second vacation at this location. Last year we paid a higher price to have breakfast each morning at the resort. I can honestly say that the breakfasts were an abomination. Every single dish tasted horrible. I'm not sure how you can manage to ruin omelettes, made to order at the omelette bar, but they were truly disgusting. So this year we brought breakfast bars from home and ate one each morning. Then we went went hungry until nightfall when we would head over to the "Wine Cellar" or "Pedro's" to have a delicious dinner. This trip has been outstanding for weight loss due to the lack of edible food at this establishment. I am looking quite slender in my clothes after a week of vacationing and this is a plus. I highly recommend that you try the nearby "Wine Cellar" Restaurant or "Pedro's" which is located close to Loreto Bay golf resort and spa. We went into The town of Lareto and had a delicious and authentic Mexican dinner at La Palapa. The service was so friendly and I was able to practice my Spanish while sipping a very refreshing Mojito. I give Loreto bay golf resort and spa only one star. But five stars to the "Wine Cellar", "Palapa's" and "Pedro's". because they were amazing read more

Golf course is reviewed only. Terrible is a compliment for $180 per round and $26 for a sleeve of Noodles. Fairways in bad shape. The staff did not seem to care, there is no pro shop or much of anything. They take your money at a make shift desk and the "manager" also is the janitor. Skip this one completely. If you don't believe this review, just show up and take a look yourself. Ask to buy a sleeve of balls, or rent clubs. The rental clubs were Goodwill rejects that even the goodwill would not take. Mix of Nike, and several other brands in the same bag and they were all "beaters". read more

I came to this hotel with an all paid food deal. This hotel is very pretty and has very big rooms. It is very open to be able to see the ocean front. The bad thing is the service of the workers. There was one server that was really helpful which was leo and I thank him for that but others that where not. There was some waiters that would make faces at you, that would not want to help you , that would treat you different because you have all included, that would judge you for what you are wearing, and that would not want to answer your questions. Also the free act cited were not fair because they would close at the time they wanted if that was either 2 in the afternoon or 4 in the afternoon! This is really pretty hotel and I would have loved for the service to be good. If you don't have all included maybe they will treat you different but other wise I sadly wouldn't recommend read more

I am only giving this hotel 2 stars due to the location and the easy access to golf. Aside from that it was a very disappointing stay and we will not be returning. The staff seems to be bothered and inconvenienced by any small request, such as ordering beverages while hanging out at the pool. The cleanliness is sub par and they offer limited towels, soap, etc throughout the stay. Room service for food was almost impossible to get, the phone would just ring and ring. We had an ocean front suite with a tub outside that was dirty and had no running water to fill it up (even if it had been clean). There was a rug in our room that was not secured to the very slick tile/concrete floor and my father slipped on it and sprained his ankle so bad he could barely walk. About halfway through our trip we noticed a strange sewer odor in our bathroom that we reported but was never resolved. This place has a lot of potential but is not the quality you would expect for the amount of money spent. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. read more

It was nice and clean, everyone was nice but the lady who rent the kayak and bikes was so rude and very unprofessional. We stayed 2 nights and we got to do activities but the last day we stayed she didn't let us rent it. When we went to ask she was on her phone on a personal call talking to her friends. The first night she gave away our kayak to another person and when we asked her about it she said didn't want to come outside to look and then we finally got one 30 min later and she said oh you only have 30 min left. read more

The location is fantastic. This is probably the 4th time we are staying there. We love the Master Oceanfront Suite upstairs corner with the view of the golf course, bridge and the water. It is great to stargazing at night too. The staff is friendly and attentive within a reason. We had booked the wrong category room, but the manager promptly moved us to the desired location. We were happy to pay the difference to have this particular room. I wish the hotel offers non motorized water sports like catamaran or kite/wind surfing or some other sort of sailing. There always seems to be wind, so it will be great to have those options. They offer kayak and next door you can rent paddle board, but i am not interested in either. Still had a great time snorkeling just off the shore. Make sure to book at least a day to some of the surrounding islands - great snorkeling too. Didn't have much luck with fishing this time, but only went once. I wish there are more options at the restaurant. I realize it's Mexico, but how much guacamole can a person have?! Maybe include a simple pasta? What is wrong with just grilling a fish instead of drowning it in oil first? Offer some local fish, not imported would be great. How about grilled veggies? Fresh and simple. The restaurant has such nice location, that with a slightly modified menu, I wouldn't leave the hotel at all. Another thing I noticed is that most faucets need attention. Most likely due to calcium deposits, they either need to be clean or replaced. Water is splashing all over when they are turned on. Otherwise the place is super clean. Wifi is good, I was able to use it even on the beach a few times for a quick response. I guess one of the reasons why it is one of my top choices is the fact that is never too busy. If you are looking for a "happening" place with loud music this will not be it. But if you are trying to just chill, snorkel and read a book at the beach, golf or fish, look at the stars at night and just relax ,this will be the perfect place to do that. read more

First of all on check in Lizbeth was rude and spent most of the time telling me what I'm not entitled to with all inclusive and gave me a paper with the rules of all inclusive and what and when I can and can't get to drink and eat. I mentioned Room service she said absolutely not. There is no communication to the staff, no one knew how the all inclusive worked and I kept being told I can't have stuff that was on the list and over and over no one knew the all inclusive deal. I paid a lot for it and I had to fight for all of it. Once the Bartender knew what was going on Leopoldo took very good care of me. Again I dealt with Lizbeth and asked for her to break a 20 usd bill. The other lady was thinking about it and Lizbeth said NO! Rude and unprofessional! The bar meals were awesome! The breakfast was pretty bad but the lady making a fresh eggs was ok. The place is the nicest of any resort in the area by far. If they would just clean up the communication and unprofessional staff this place would rock. The place was very slow so I'm assuming that had something to do with the poor service and breakfast. They a big wedding and the sports bar was closed so I was very limited to meals and drink. They don't serve alcohol in the morning so no mimosas with my lousy breakfast. No booze til noon! First time for that in Mexico. Again, overall it was nice just some very annoying issues with "all inclusive" and unprofessional staff. Thanks Andres for your concerns and please have a meeting on what is provided with all inclusive. This is an excellent retreat hotel - Loreto Bay Golf and Spa - about 15 min S of Loreto in Noplo. The rooms are nice, decent king bed, with plenty of closet and drawer space and a safe. Bathroom is good but only warm water - never hot! TV is fine but only 2-3 channels in English. Tiny little fridge. No microwave. No comfy chair or sofa so we did all our reading in the bed or patio. Food is not stellar but drinks at pool were decent. Pool is perfect temp and if your grab a spot early there ware some nice lounge chairs. But get there too late and the only chair left have no cushions on them. Free use of bikes, paddle boards and kayaks. It's about 5-9 min walk into the little village where there are 3 places to eat. Otherwise you need to drive to town. About 15 minutes. This isn't a place for high activity people. It's very quiet and subdued. And the views are calming. Loreto Town is quite small but has a few good eateries and a few nice shops. But don't expect to come here to enjoy white sand beaches. Those are out on Islands - you pay to get out to for 4-6 hour tours. read more

Spacious rooms. Not enough staff on beach. While 5 or 6 waiters were standing around doing nothing in the restaurant, it took 20 minutes or more to get a drink on the beach. Also, because of the lack of staff on the beach you couldn't take out a kayak or paddle board after 4:30. read more

This reviews for the dining and restaurant only by the pool. The first night we were here we saw a group of guys order a bunch of whores yes I said whores from the bar staff. The second time we ate there the bar staff and wait staff were very rude despite we are one of two tables in the restaurant. Worst fish tacos and weak drinks! Dollar for dollar maybe the best resort deal in Baja California! Great location right on the beach, excellent golf course especially the last nine holes. An exceptional value. read more
