The venue was in Denton, and Corn Fed had no problem making the hike from Springtown to Denton--the food was fresh and absolutely delicious! Corn Fed was reasonably priced and reasonably minded--they were GREAT to work with and a pleasure for our wedding venue, Sunago Bell to work with as well. We will definitely use them again for future events and can't say enough good about the food and service they provided! Thank you, CORN FED CATERING!!! You guys are truly the best!

I hired Corn Fed Catering for my wedding based on a great tasting. While the on-site staff were…read morecourteous, they ran out of our most anticipated dish--shrimp and grits--3/4 of the way through service, before all guests were served. That alone was disappointing, but the follow-up was worse. Their owner, Jennifer Shaw, responded days later with hostility, dishonesty, and a complete lack of professionalism. (which I'm sure she will do in this review as well) Even more disturbing was the bartending team, outsourced by Corn Fed. The lead bartender harassed me and others for a pre-service gratuity throughout the evening--even interrupting me moments before I walked down the aisle. They argued with our planner, complained to guests, and shut down the bar nearly an hour early. I've worked in event management for over two decades and have never experienced such blatant disrespect from a vendor. Despite the efforts of a kind catering staff, I cannot in good conscience recommend either of these vendors.

They accept debit/credit cards unlike Joe T's which is a major plus since I don't carry cash. They have parking on both sides of the building. We had a small (approx 15min) wait on a Saturday morning just before 11am. Then they opened their patio and we were able to be seated. Inside was packed. Parties of all sizes - 1 person to several tables of 10+. I believe you can make reservations for larger parties. We were immediately brought complimentary chips (yummy thin & not salty), delicious salsa (splash above mild spice level), & waters. Our waitress was very friendly, attentive, & prompt. We got HUEVOS CON JAMON (eggs & ham) and HUEVOS CON TOCINO (egg & bacon). You also get two tortillas and your choice or flour or corn. Both meals were very good and we couldn't finish them we were so full. (May have had something to do with indulging in the chips & salsa). Breakfast plates are served with their simple delicious refried beans and breakfast potatoes. Inside is old like Joe T's. Outside patio is covered, has fans, and one wall has plants that create a nice ambiance. We really enjoyed sitting outside. Bathrooms were clean but need a remodel. They offer catering & private events. I've been to several private events in their other building and have always enjoyed it! Joe T's has beautiful outdoor ambiance. Is touristy. Sit close to a fan or be prepared to swat flies. Great margaritas. Esperanzas has better food. Did not have a margarita this trip. Open 630am-7pm daily. But, I chose Esperanza's on a recent Fort Worth vacation because they have more menu items that their sister restaurant. Last visit over 10 years ago; went back for the Mole Enchiladas I had from 2012. Yet, this still isn't a menu item. You can get every other sauce on Enchiladas in the know Mexican cuisine except this combination. Yet, they are happy to oblige instead of the traditional mole covered Chicken bits. Ask for it smothered with Monterrey Jack instead of Cheddar if you take my advice. Rice and beans are good; add the salso to the beans. She had the colorful Tortilla Soup with optional ingredients adorning the large plate. Service was polite and attentive. And, as soon as we finished this dining experience two hours later I was marrying my longtime GF. Next review she gets promoted to wife on Yelp!

I got the chicken sandwich, my mom got the mushroom burger, and we were both in food heaven: absolutely scrumptious from first bite to last. Yes, the interior's a little dated, but that's part of the charm! this place is a certified Fort Worth classic, timeless in the best way. Staff was friendly, chatty, and clearly knew their menu inside and out. Consider me a regular now I'll be back for more, and you should go find out what I'm talking about!

Galligaskin's has been making Boston style subs in Fort Worth longer than most of us have been…read morealive, and they'll tell you so, proudly and rightfully. The oldest sub shop in Texas is not a title you stumble into, and one visit makes it clear they've earned it. First, the parking situation, because someone has to say it. The spots up front are scarce and competitive. Don't give up, there's additional parking in the back with its own entrance. File that away before you go, or you'll spend ten minutes circling a strip that has not gotten larger since the 1970s. And speaking of the 1970s, the interior leans fully into its vintage identity. Small, dark, and unapologetically retro, it feels like a sub shop that missed the memo on modern restaurant design and decided it didn't care. Honestly, respect. Now, the subs. Galligaskin's cuts their own meat and cheese in house and bakes their rolls fresh daily, which is the kind of thing that sounds like marketing until you take a bite and realize it actually matters. The roast beef and cheese, loaded with toppings, is a proper sandwich. The house-made Galli Oil and pickled pepper finish that goes on every sub is the secret weapon - not spicy, just deeply flavorful, the thing that makes each bite a little better than the last. We also tried the burger, which came as a genuine surprise. A sub shop doing a burger well feels like it shouldn't work, but here we are, soft bun, flavorful patty, no notes. For sides, the Tater Tots are the undisputed champion of the table. Crispy shell, fluffy interior, the ideal tot. The fried okra was a strong runner-up, well breaded and served with ranch. The French fries, however, were a swing and a miss. They looked the part, golden, fresh cut, promising - and then arrived soggy. A limp fry is a tragedy in any zip code, and these were no exception. No one wants a sad potato. Order the tots. Skip the fries. You've been warned. Galligaskin's in the real deal, a Fort Worth original that's still earning its reputation one fresh-baked roll at a time. One last night: they're closed on Sundays, so plan accordingly. A cruel fact to discover in the parking lot.

I got my usual 2 meat plater with briskets, pork ribs, beans and mac and cheese. I would say everything was solid, but nothing really stood out except the ribs, they were really good! The mac and cheese had bacon in which was a nice touch but didn't elevate it overall. The place looks like something straight out of the late 70's or early 80's and I don't think they have added any new decor since. The people were extremely friendly and the service was fast. So, if you are looking for a quick solid meal at a good value, this is the spot. Oh, and they had that triple ply toilet paper in the bathroom. Would poop here again.
