The food is exquisite, you never know what you'll be getting in terms of flavor.The past 6 months, I've not had any repeated items on their menu, so savor it since you may not be able to try it until they open their tapas restaurant. I attended a function where dinner was catered from the very handsome Magdalena's food truck. The menu included chips and queso and choice of four different tacos. I chose a coconut shrimp and a carne asada. Both were delicious. In fact, the carne may be the best I've ever tasted. The ingredients were high quality and perfectly prepared. The accompanying sauces and condiments were thoughtfully combined to enhance the fillings and the soft, tasty corn tortilla were up to the task of holding it all together. The queso was a big hit as was the chicken mole taco. The service was friendly and really quick in plastic-free trays. My husband and I hosted a post-elopement family dinner for about 30 people at Magdalena's. Rhayne made the planning process so easy, even though we were having to do it all long-distance from Houston. Our guests *raved* about the food, and all of the vendors they put us in touch with were excellent! We had such an fun night that we forgot to take any pictures once everyone showed up. *COVID-19 self isolation review. We've been to Magdalena's several times for their monthly meals which are amazing, but now we're practicing self-isolation. Magdalena's has been offering curbside/delivery (to Ft Worth) menus for several weeks, that you reheat at home. The menu changes weekly so this menu may not be available next week. We got this weeks taco kit option. The Americano came with braised short rib, Mac & Cheese, crema, rice, beans & tortillas. We had 3 adults eating & we were stuffed! We also ordered a side of chips & the best guacamole I've ever had and tres leche cakes. I'm so thankful that Magdalena's is offering the opportunity to eat their amazing food at home. My husband and I hired Magdalena's for our wedding and ultimately felt "catfished" by the experience with them. We had a lovely and delicious tasting and they were excited by our Chinese theme. At no point did they express that the meal was too difficult to execute upon. On the wedding day, ALL of the meals were ice cold, very small portioned, and the orange chicken didn't taste anything like we had at the tasting. The food was the most expensive part of our wedding and we told EVERYONE beforehand how excited we were to have them as our caterer and to expect to be blown away. Needless to say, we were embarrassed. We have kindly and calmy expressed our disappointments to them, but haven't received any sympathies. read more

Fantastic Chef ran catering & pop-up restaurant. The food is absolutely top notch, as the Chefs create menus reflecting the seasons and inspirations. The service is amazing, fine dining without the fuss. It is a perfect way to get a five course meal served to you, but you feel as if you are having a dinner party with friends. The servers and Chefs really go out of the way to make you feel at home. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with a beautiful view of downtown Fort Worth. All of there food is scratch made. They are one of the only people in Fort Worth that grinds there own masa from corn shipped over from Mexico. Their menu was creative and customizable, not to mention absolutely delicious. I had so many people tell me that it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. This is the coolest "restaurant experience" in the Fort. The service is impeccable and the food is very inventive. It is in a catering hall on the Northside. With good weather, they'll seat you outside with a view of the skyline across the river. The chef's family is from Monterrey and the food is like his abuela's. Hence the name Magdalena's. Get on the email list and sign up for a dinner. It's normally 4-5 courses. If your experience is like mine, you will not like 2 of the courses. You will lose your mind over the other 3. That's the great benefit and potential disappointment which is inherent in a menu that is chosen for you by someone else. Embrace it. It's how we grow as people by trying new things. This time I had paella with elk sausage, rabbit, chorizo and chicken. It was in a saffron broth. This was amazeballs. BYOB, too, which cuts the cost down. If you take a date and they don't like it, get rid of 'em. You deserve better. read more

We dined here for NYE 2020. Nothing special. It took way to long and we had to have dinner with twenty-something millennials who spent the evening recanting their recent drunken escapades. The food was unimpressive and the portions were meager. By the end of the 2 1/2 hour dinner sitting in a metal chair at a foldable card table, I definitely could not get out of there fast enough. I had high expectations but was disappointed with the food. It was not that good. A four course meal for $70 I was hoping for the food to be at least 4 star. First time we went to Magdalena's it was pretty darn good. Tonight they seated everyone outside in the heat. The ground was extremely uneven so our chairs were rocky. It was so hot the ice would melt in our glasses within a few minutes. I don't think they offer ice tea and I know they don't offer coffee. It would've been nice to have a bread basket with the meal. The food tonight was just not very good and it was served at room temp. For 50 bucks I expect better. read more

We hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner here on Saturday, August 12th and absolutely could not have been more pleased! It was perfect! My now-husband (yay!!) and I got engaged in Barcelona earlier this year and celebrated over a pan of paella. It was our first dinner as an engaged couple. When I came across Magdalena's and saw they served paella, I knew this was the place for us. We were able to serve paella to our family and friends and came full circle, having paella for our last dinner as an engaged couple as well. The atmosphere was to die for. We celebrated the majority of the evening outside under the cafe string lights and moved inside for dessert, as it began to sprinkle.
