I liked that they had dietary options as well if you needed it. I'm grateful I was able to attend the gala at this beautiful venue for a wonderful cause. I hosted a graduation party on May 24th and rented this venue until 1 a.m. Unfortunately, a few…read moremajor issues turned what was supposed to be a special celebration into a stressful and embarrassing experience. First, the air conditioning situation was unacceptable. While setting up earlier in the day, all the AC units were functioning fine. But by the time our event started at 5:45 p.m., the venue started getting noticeably warmer. By 7:30 p.m., it was unbearably hot. We realized that only two of the AC units were actually running, despite there being multiple units around the venue, each controlled by 4 different remotes. No matter what we tried, the remotes would not turn the other units on. On top of that, two of the AC unit/fans were leaking, which our guests complained about throughout the evening. There were PUDDLES of water everywhere by the end of the night. We attempted to contact the owner, Monica, multiple times, and she finally responded after several attempts--far too late to resolve the issue. The heat got so bad that guests were leaving the venue to cool off in their cars before trying to come back in. Many left by 10 p.m., unable to enjoy the event. I was incredibly embarrassed. I spent a lot of money on this venue expecting my guests to have a good time, and they did not. Second, the bartender situation was completely unprofessional. We hired the bartender through the venue, and later found out she's related to the owner (which would've been fine--if she had done her job). My guests told me she disappeared for almost an hour, and one of my own guests had to step behind the bar and serve drinks. I later found out the bartender was outside "taking a break" because it was too hot. A 15-minute break is one thing, but vanishing for an hour while getting paid hourly is absolutely ridiculous. To top it off, here's a helpful tip: if you rent this venue, bring your own trash bags--even if you've paid a cleaning fee. Apparently, that doesn't include basic supplies. Bottom line: This place is not worth the money, time, or stress. Poor climate control, poor communication, and poor staffing made for a miserable night. I will never return, and I do not recommend this venue to anyone planning a special event.

As an artist and someone that has gone to countless shows, experiencing some of the most…read moreprofessional promoters and staff to receiving some of the poorest treatment, this one would have to have to be on the latter. From the time that myself and some of the other artists that had arrived, the customer service had not been the best. We were ill-informed of the requirements and if it wasn't for me bringing my laptop to the event, we would've had no music to play over the sound system. The owner made a number of condescending comments that he tried to make into a joke, which no one thought were funny. When I got slightly stern with him, the comments ceased, in my direction. Throughout the night, a woman that hadn't been around, and this is before the event had event started, proceeds to grab my drink and throw it away. I told her that it was mine and I would appreciate if she left it there. Rudely, she makes a comment about it needing to be thrown away by show time, while they had their own, personal drinks lying around, with food. We had received been clearance of our food vendor being able to be in a specific place outside and then the owner is outside, while our show is going on, threatening to call the police and wants us out immediately. There was another show in another theater that was 99% white people, which they had additional commentary for the nearly 100-150 people coming out of the show. We had maybe 20 people in our show and they were constantly on us the entire night about the smallest things, despite selling nearly 100 tickets for our show. Coincidentally, most of the people that came to our show were Latin, Hispanic, and Black backgrounds. Definitely came off as racially profiled and was quite literally the worst experience I've had at a venue. Unprofessional and definitely hoping to never get booked her or ever go back again. Artists, stay clear away!! The only reason I gave this place two stars was because the venue is nice, clean, and spacious. Two members of the staff, one of the sound guys and the bartender were professional, courteous, non-judgmental, did their jobs and made this experience somewhat bearable.

They work HARD and even in the summer heat, make you feel welcome and taken care of. The venue is absolutely breathtaking. Photos don't even do it justice. The architecture is out of this world on top of a hilly cliff overlooking gorgeous trees and nature. We were even able to take rooftop photos that displayed the out of this world view and the golden hour photos turned out so perfect. Oh and the bridal/groom suite? MASSIVE! It's basically an entire house (and separate venue) for getting ready and holding all the bridal party's belongings. The bathrooms and suites are pristine with plenty of room. There is a kitchen and wedding inventory that we were welcome to use, all part of the booking service. This isn't an enormous venue; but you can comfortably fit 250 guests. There's a gorgeous spiral staircase that leads to the main level, as well as a glass elevator. Super-tall ceilings, a spacious wooden floor, and giant windows make for a wide-open, ethereal ambiance. It's pretty majestic. The Marquis offers different wedding reception packages (including dinner, wedding cake and cake cutting, linens and glassware, centerpieces, an event coordinator, wait staff, and security) from anywhere between $17 and $54 per guest. You can also have an outdoor party, ceremony, or reception outside (for 50 guests max). I didn't get a look at their outdoor space, but based on the inside, I'm sure it's wonderful. I attended a wedding ceremony and reception here a few weeks ago, and it was pretty awesome for the wedding party and bride to come up that beautiful spiral staircase, emerging into the center of the room before they walked down the "aisle." Very unique and dramatic. After the ceremony, guests went downstairs for hors d'oeuvres and wine while the staff rearranged the upstairs from ceremony seating to reception tables, chairs, and a dance floor. The curving central stairway makes for a unique grand view of the wedding party making their appearance by ASCENDING into the party space rather than a more typical descend; it made for great photos! I attended a wedding at this venue, so I'm guessing that they cater as well. The appetizer buffet was well presented and the offerings were prepared to the best expected. I don't think it fair to review the main meal since the wedding party had an extended photo session; therefore the food was served after a long time in warming mode. But, if you're planning a wedding or special event I would definitely encourage a consideration based on just the location, especially if you live in Fort Worth.
