So the rug that is by the front door is in a high traffic area and the one under the dining room table was "decorated" (in six different places) by my dog who was not feeling well yesterday. Needless to say, my attempts at removing those "decorations" was not terribly successful, so I called Zerorez. Fortunately, they had a next day opening and they arrived on the earlier end of that opening which worked well with my schedule. Jose and his assistant arrived promptly and explained what they were going to do, and then they got to work. I camped out in another room while they moved the furniture, and throughly cleaned the rugs. About 30 minutes later, they were done, and I paid via the payment link that was sent to me by text. I don't have a ton of experience with getting these rugs professionally cleaned, so I initially felt that the price kind of high, but after doing some research on rug cleaning prices, I actually think the cost ($283) was fair for what they were able to do. Both of my rugs look great and there is no sign of the mess that was there previously. Thanks Zerorez, Jose, and team! It was such a relief walking into such a fresh, tidy space. That being said, there were a few small things that could be improved. For whatever reason, I felt like she was very rushed. The trash was left right outside the apartment without a new bag in the bin, and the dishwasher wasn't started -- small touches I've had with other cleaners in the past that make a nice difference. I had also paid for organization, originally planning to do the guest room and kitchen, but when she arrived I decided to just do the kitchen. The charge stayed the same, which I wish had reflected the smaller scope. Overall, Rachel's cleaning skills are truly excellent, and she's a joy to work with. As usual, I referred to yelp and reached out to various cleaners from the area to compare estimates for upholstery cleaning. After speaking to 5 different companies, all with price points ranging from $80-$160 I decided to go with Coast 2 Coast Steam Cleaning. I specifically spoke with Roland and he gave me some details in regards to the cleaning process and type of equipment needed. He gave me an estimate for the cost of cleaning the couch and explained why it was that pricing. He was very knowledgeable and friendly so I decided to give his company a try. I initially scheduled an appointment for tomorrow but later asked if there was any way he could come today. I didn't want the pet urine to settle into the cushion of the couch and wanted to get it done right away. Roland was extremely accommodating and came a couple of hours later. When he arrived he was professional and set up his equipment right away. Unfortunately due to where I live (2nd floor condominium) there was no access to a water supply for the cleaning. However, Roland made it a point to look for other water supplies and found one near the pool. Once everything was set up he immediately started working. Roland went above and beyond to get the job done. He was efficient, courteous, and attentive. I found my new "go to" for future cleaning and will be sure to refer this company to family and friends.
