I brought my 2009 Chevy Malibu in for an estimate because I wanted the frame addressed, the windshield repaired/replaced as appropriate, and the affected area repainted. J Smitty Automotive provided a preliminary estimate with a Grand Total of $3,985.17. For context, I purchased this vehicle for approximately $6,000, so being quoted nearly $4,000 for the repair was not reasonable to me. What left the interaction with a bad impression was that there was no attempt to recommend a more cost-effective path forward or explain alternatives - only a very high estimate. I then obtained another written estimate elsewhere for the same problem area ("Front Windshield and Frame") totaling $375.00, which I found far more reasonable. He uses a brand called 'Ultimate Linings' which is a great product. Thicker and a better quality than the other brands. I traveled two hours to go to Performance because no one closer carried the Ultimate product. Rick also does the job right when he properly preps the area being sprayed. Reasonable prices to protect a valuable vehicle.

I went to Northeastern based on the recommendations of a number of locals in Hudson, NY. I worked with Autumn, the Office Manager and the reason the company is so well run. Autumn is amazing! She worked with the insurance company from the party responsible and all I had to do was wait for the work for to be done. The original estimate was below what the true cost would have been and she took care of everything to make sure the insurance company would approve the revised cost.
