I'm angry and upset because I had to lose a few days of work. Gerber always does top quality work. My Hyundai parts are expensive. That's not Gerber's fault. I worked in the auto industry for 30 years. I sold parts to lots of body shops. I know how they price their parts. They have some discretion in the price of labor but mostly it comes from flat-rate crash books. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend Gerber for high quality collision repair work.

I arrived several minutes early for my appointment only to be told that there was no one in the shop to do the estimate. Due to their available appointment times I had already missed out on a half hour of work by the time I arrived. I was told that someone would be here to do the estimate in 10-15 minutes. I have now been sitting in my car waiting for 20 minutes and no one has arrived. The answer was that I can "reschedule," losing even more time from work in the process. I understand that things happen, but at no point in the morning was I called and notified that they would be pushing back my appointment by at least a half hour. No apology has been offered and no attempt to make things right. I will be taking my vehicle elsewhere for service. UPDATE:: I had promised to update this review some time ago, so here goes. The manager at the shop called me the following day asking me to take down my review. I agreed to edit it after talking to him, but told him I would not take it down due to it being true. He offered to go to my house to see my vehicle, which I was not at all comfortable with and declined. According to him this fixed the issue with my missing work and being repeatedly lied to and nobody being available or having called. I disagreed. I brought my vehicle back in for an assessment. They made up problems that it didn't have and totaled my vehicle. I told them that they were incorrect, as they made statements about "the crumple zone being destroyed," (it wasn't touched) and other such nonsense, and I asked them for an honest assessment, which they refused. I took my van to another (trusted) body shop, and they disagreed on the damages and gave an estimate almost $10,000 less than Gerber! It took me months to fight with the insurance company, and they ultimately had to send out their own assessor, who agreed with the second shop. Due to bringing my vehicle into these incompetent jerks I went without my van for 4 months!!! I assume they are getting a payoff somewhere for falsely totaling vehicles, as the van had about $7,000 worth of damages, not $16,000+. I tried calling in to speak with someone higher up within the company and they blatantly ignored me and never returned my call. If you are ever told by your insurance to go here for an estimate and you want to keep your vehicle, please, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

    Ordered a wench out at 6am because I was stuck in the snow. They told me that they were running…read morebehind and didn't have drivers available until 8am. I told them that was fine, just get me on the list. At 11am I called to check - told they couldn't give me an exact time probably at least an hour. Called back at 1pm to check - told they had just dispatched it and should be there in 20 minutes. Called at 230 to check. Told he'd be here here "within the hour" and had me send pics of the car to the driver. Called at 415 and the driver said he'd be here in 30 mins. The driver calls me to ask where I am... I send him my location. He informs me they sent him to the wrong address. He says he'll call me back in a few minutes because he is nearly 90 minutes away. He calls me back to tell me that they decided to cancel my tow because it was too far from where he was now. So I sat for 11 hours being jerked around, trying to be understanding that they were swamped, and they just canceled and basically said, "sorry about your bad luck" - I missed appointments all day because they couldn't use GPS and didn't care enough about anyone that isn't insurance to proactively call to tell me what was really going on.

I should have the rest of the money in the next day or two and will be doing business with this gentleman so I'm hoping all goes well. When I purchase the motor he said he will drop it off to my house which is even more convenient! After I receive it and install it in my Grand Prix gt I will definitely be posting another review on how everything turned out. This motor were talking about has 70k on it with a 6 month warranty for a very reasonable price! FYI to all read his policy for warrantee! I will be replacing my rear main seal before installing along with flushing my radiator and topping off with fresh coolant. I've only seen one other review that wasn't all that nice but some times you can't make everybody happy some people are just ignorant. Y'all will hear from me soon I will do more business with bill if all goes well and the motor is what he claims to be. He sounds like a ordinary guy that just wants to do good business and accommodate people any way he can. Thanks for taking your time to read this.
