The procedures went well and my dog has recovered very well. This surgery was a precise surgical procedure because they shaved her eyelids. They then removed the cyst and added stitches. There are of course no guarantees as to how your pet will respond to treatment. I had also requested a callback about other testing and did receive a phone callback, this was appreciated and helpful. Sometimes as pet owners we have to take time to understand things. Keep in mind these people work very hard long hours. If you Suspect you need a visit, schedule ahead and cancel the day before if you aren't sure. Scheduling online is helpful. They remodeled the place to look super posh, and started caring more about their posh facility and your payment than your pet. I didn't get that feeling at Tempe Veterinary Hospital, well, until recently anyway. We used to see Dr Wells, but he doesn't seem to be there anymore and the quality of care has really sunk. I waited an hour for a 9:00 am appointment the other day, how do you get that far behind that early in the day? The worst part is they offered us no water for our dog. We waited in the lobby for half an hour, then when we asked how long it would be, they showed us to an exam room (that had been empty the whole time) and said it would be another 5 or 10 minutes. They came in for our appointment a half hour later. Again, no water...not even a bowl I could fill myself from the tap in the exam room, shouldn't that be standard in any vet's exam room? When they came in, they asked a few questions then took the dog out, into the back of the facility. Why aren't wellness exams done in front of me like they used to be? And why is a wellness exam necessary for a rabies shot anyway? That's just a money grab. $175 dollars for the exam and the shot, I see I can get that same shot at Petsmart for $40. And what are you doing to my dog that can't be done in an exam room in front of me? Then the vet came in and told us we'll need to drug our dog if we want to bring him back because he has such bad anxiety. Well yeah he does, he's at the vet and you made him wait an hour without water, I'm a little anxious myself, you jerk. I'm guessing you tried to take his temperature in his butt, only time I've seen that dog actually fire up and go after someone was when they tried that before. We'd have told you that won't work if you had done the exam in front of us, like you used to. We always warned you at our prior appointments, but this time you took him out of the room and we didn't have a chance. We heard him get nasty from the exam room, we knew what you just tried. Sorry, I would have warned you but honestly, it serves you right for your crappy treatment of us AND our dog. Insult to injury...their payment system puked on my debit card, even after restarting it, they wanted me to stay there while they figured out what was wrong with the payment system or pay with a credit card with additional charges, but I was already 10 minutes trying to pay them. It was already far more time than a rabies shot should take, so I paid by check. They still wanted me to wait for them to figure out the payment system, and since my check hasn't been cashed and it's 10 days after the appointment I can see why. Man, they did nothing right in this appointment, and since they took my dog out of the room for the exam, I no longer trust you, which is the worst thing you can ever say about a vet. We won't be back.
