Wow, what a cool little shop! Jams and preserves galore with flavors both familiar and really…read moreunexpected. And here's possibly the best part of all this: you can taste any of them. Yep, the shop's managers will prepare for you two containers, each holding six samples, your requests, so you're allowed to wrap your tongue around 12 different items. Now, you may not care for all them -- there were a few not for us -- but for the rest we explored and adored the flavors, especially anything blueberry. We found the staff chatty and funny and very helpful as we looked around. The shop is just steps from the Harpoon Brewery, and is well worth your time when you're visiting this area. BTW, we didn't find anything that seemed seriously overpriced, either, not when you consider how tasty these products are whether for you or as gifts.

And DO try the recipes they have online- they are fantastic! I am such a fan of their jams and of their pie filling. Their pie filling is full of fruit and so fresh tasting! Maybe it's because they don't use cornstarch and fillers- or just because of the wonderful fruit they use- but they have the best commercial pie filling I've ever tried! Whether you live in Vermont and want a fun place to visit, or if you shop online, I do not see how anyone could be disappointed with these jams. They are simply delicious! Be adventurous and try some of their more exotic combination- I do not think you will be disappointed.

Love it here. Free…read morecompletely free - no admission fee, no parking fee. Very friendly people. Small business vibes. Follow your maps and once you cross the bridge they have tons of signs to direct you, hard to get lost. Trust they're hours, we showed up in the pouring rain and they're still open 9am-5pm weekdays. As soon as you walk in you'll get free samples. We sampled 5 cheeses and 2 grades of maple syrup - it sells itself. One cheese is made with unpasteurized milk - others include sharp cheddar, sage, smoked. Convinced me to try traveling home with cheese for the first time. Tons of products available for sell including from other farms as well. I recommend picking up some of the Red Kite Candy caramels they have there. If you liked it as much as me their factory is about a 30 min drive away. Other activities include petting animals (not in winter), walking trail, and self guided tour of their maple house. Wasn't able to do the trail in the rain but I would estimate you can do all of this in 2 hours. Not at all like Billings Farm if you're concerned about going to both or only have time for one. Billings has an admission fee, no samples of milk or cheese though the make both. More of a museum but they do have up close interactions with their cows (even in winter) for the kids, butter churning, candle dipping. Recommend Billing for taking kids on homesteading field trip, Sugarbush a quick stop for foodie/charcuterie person IMPORTANT: They do NOT sell sugarbush products at any of the stores in Woodstock so don't plan to buy more later and have regrets like us - we looked in every store and couldn't find it. Not sure about Quechee though. Products can also be ordered online and shipped

Weather got a little hariy getting there with the slushy roads, but we made it! It's pretty remote location with no street lights, so if driving in the dark look for the signs to get there and trust your GPS. There's a large parking lot across from the entrance to the little store/shop. The shop is actually the owners old family home I belive. We arrived pretty much at closing time, but we were still welcomed warmly. We got a cheese & maple syrup tasting which was yum and informative, and the staff member that did it was really nice, I forgot her name, but see photo below. One of the cheeses has won a cheese competition, very cool. We also got to meet the owner, but she was busy getting Christmas orders together. I perused all of the cheeses I wanted and settled on 4. We got to try 2 out of the 4 from the cheese sampling. The nice lady that checked me out even gave me some nice to-go samples as well. The smoked cheese was my fav, and the sage. But I enjoyed them all. I was able to easily fly home to TX with them due to the cold weather of the season. After the tasting, we got to peruse the store. They have so much other stuff to buy in additon to cheese and maple, tons of knick-knacks and gifts and merch. We didn't get to explore the farm after since it was pitch black when we left, too bad. Enjoy!

Upstairs is the Vermont Toy Museum which is worth a look, even though it feels like it hasn't been updated or dusted in years. The parking lot is huge! This place was unfortunately kind of a letdown, but perhaps it's a sign of the times (post-COVID,…read moremask wearing, no sampling world). We came here because they were the closest spot that sells Cabot cheese since we couldn't get up to the actual Cabot factory. All the reviews talking about the miles of cheese samples were not to be found. They sold some cheeses in the back but it wasn't a very big selection. I also found them to be no different than the Cabot cheese sold in my local grocery store back home in CT. Is that just what Cabot does? Is there nothing special about Cabot when you get it in VT? Cabot signs all over making it know they're an official retailer of Cabot cheese but then no different than a grocery store selection. They have miles of maple syrup to select from but you pretty much just have to blindly choose one since you can't taste any samples. Was really excited about this place but a letdown for sure. May not be any fault of theirs, but I would skip this shop for one that allows samples unless you know what you're buying.

They offer daily lunch specials, many of which feature their fantastic smoked meats. Their smoked sausages and bacon are delicious too. As you would expect of a general store, they offer a little bit of everything. Clothing, food, liquor, etc. Their efforts to support other local small businesses shows their dedication to the community. The staff are really friendly as well. I loved everything about Singleton's....came back three days in a row just to order their lunch special and pick up some odds and ends. Even ran my dogs around in their snowy picnic area outside. I highly recommend this business and would definitely comeback, if I vacation in the area again. Thank you!

The sweetest souls work here and the animal feeding area/petting zoo is incredible! When you arrive at Taylor Farms, you step into the cute little country store stationed at the beginning of the farm. The store is stocked with farm products like yummy cheeses and icecreams but also food and home products from local businesses like soaps, etc. My daughter picked out a scoop of her favorite VT icecream, maple walnut and wandered the store. I stumbled upon the "feed our animals" station near the store exit. You can buy the farm animals food and feed them yourself! The store associate welcomed us to go see the animals even if we didn't buy any food for them. You could tell she really loved them. We bought a variety pack for the animals which consisted of carrots, an apple, a bag of homemade cheeseits, and chicken feed (corn meal?). My daughter had a ball feeding the donkey, cows, chickens and cat! We had a ball watching her experience new things and support a local farm! We hope to come back someday soon!
