I called numerous appliance repair companies within an hour from us and was unable to connect with anyone available to assist. I then called Carter's Heating & Cooling, who put in our HVAC when we built 10 years ago here at the lake. It turns out they also ran the propane line to the house. Greg Carter was very responsive, and Jamie came out first thing the next morning. After doing an initial check of things, he disassembled the cooktop and found the leak at the regulator. Interestingly, we had a local appliance repair out here in 2019 when we smelled propane at the cooktop. While I don't know if they ever corrected the issue or not, Carters did! I have always been impressed with Carter's and highly recommend them if you want things done right.

During that failure, Eric was able to give me assistance over the phone that allowed me to check the unit and keep it going without a service call. Luckily I work close by and was there in less than five minutes. Travis was waiting to inform me it would be $480 to replace a breaker. Honestly, it wouldn't have mattered if he said he could do the work for free. Upsetting my wife to the point where she did not want to talk to him was more than enough for me to ask him to leave. When I informed him of why she was upset he responded in the same condescending way and preceded to do the same when "apologizing" to her.
