Lila contacted me shortly after my inquiry and we discussed the details surrounding our needs. She was very quick to speak with Renato, her husband and dog trainer/whisperer, and they graciously accommodated us. Not only did they care greatly for our pups during their stay, they sent us daily photos and videos of them! The other trainers were so good with our babies, we are so appreciative of them. I highly recommend using their services when in HMB. Renato is a dog trainer, and it seemed like he helped one of our energetic guys in the short time he cared for him. Things ultimately weren't working out at the other facility, so we contacted Ana, and she was able to get our dog in immediately. Basically, our dog couldn't be happier at the end of the day when he comes home. And he's generally exhausted, so we know he's having fun when he's with Ana and the crew! The cute photos of the pups playing on their Instagram stories are always great - legitimately great photos. Additionally, she has spent time with us working through some additional training, answers all of our (probably annoying questions), and is always available. The facility is amazing (and very large), the experience we've had with Ana and everyone else has been wonderful, and the pickup and drop-off service adds that extra touch that you don't generally get with other places. He answered all my questions and immediately made me feel comfortable leaving our 1.5 year old there for what would be by far the longest we have ever left our pup. Slav agreed to take her and the drop-off and pick-up process went smoothly. He sent pictures everyday and I could tell that HMB Dog House had quickly become her second home. I am very grateful to Slav for accommodating me at the last minute and I absolutely plan to leave our pup with Slav in the future when we go away. This was the first time we had left her with a kennel or professional caregiver since we got her, and I was nervous. So many of the kennels have business models that require you to decide in advance how many times you want your dog to play per day or how many walks you want, etc. I wanted to find a professional that I could trust to use their own judgment and make sure our pup got everything she needed, and Slav was definitely that person. Milestone family trip- received bloody paw photo minutes after drop off. No explanation or answer: Was she injured? Has the bleeding stopped? We texted we'd return. Slav declined, saying it would cause anxiety. He sent a photo of Daisy's wrapped paw -it looked tight (I'm an RN)  I asked him to remove it soon for circulation & check the injury. He was dismissive. As we were boarding the airplane f internatnl travel: "Come get your dog if you don't like it!" I had to continually check on Daisy daily. Slav didn't provide sufficient updates;  wouldn't describe condition/answer questions. His negligent rudeness continued: ignoring concerns, sending random photos w no words or empathy. The same tattered wrap remained on in photos despite my asking him to unwrap/send photo. Did he check the wound? Was it getting infected? Horror! He stated he had other dogs- couldn't get Daisy to vet-ever! Daily ignorance/worry ruined the family trip. We pd in full/in advance for dog care. Daisy had never been happier to see us!
