She spent real time with us, not only addressing the eye issue but also talking through our dog's overall health, answering questions, and making sure we felt informed and reassured. It never felt rushed. We previously went to Banfield and were often left feeling like just another number -- with our dog spending hours in a kennel for what should have been a simple visit. She reassures you that you are doing the right thing for your beloved pet by easing their suffering. The whole process could not have been more peaceful, kind, and loving. First she gives a sedative. . So you have time to say goodbye and cuddle them. Then gives them the meds to send them on their way. I can't recommend her enough. Yes, it costs a lot. It's cheaper to drive to a vet office and do it. But if you want no regrets, a really calm, loving environment and have your pet die in your arms (or next to you on the couch). This is the way to go. She couldn't have been more kind, professional, loving and peaceful.

The cedar box with her name wrapped in a very elegant velvet bag, a ceramic paw print, they captured her nose print as well for us, and lastly a certificate of her passing. She has anxiety and knocked over a staff member during the first visit, so the clinic recommended Trazodone and Acepromazine for future appointments. I followed their advice, and our next visits went smoothly. A year later, I called to schedule another appointment and was surprised to be told they no longer wanted to see my dog. I wasn't given an explanation, but when I requested her records, I saw she had been labeled as aggressive. This had never been an issue at Claremont Vet Hospital. The lack of transparency was disappointing, especially since my dog was due for routine vaccinations. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend this clinic for owners of large, anxious dogs that require extra handling, even when medicated.

I ended up pursuing xrays for my dog at another facility and the vet confirmed the tooth is not infected and does not warrant removal at this time. I also mentioned to Dr. Nguyen that my dog had an intermittent chronic hop/limp that my previous vet diagnosed as patellar luxation. Dr. Nguyen was confident it wasn't patellar luxation and recommended hind limb xrays to figure out what was really wrong. I got that imaging done as well at my other vet, just to confirm she does indeed have bilateral patellar luxation. I would seriously pause to consider this series of misdiagnoses and the extreme and costly procedures that were recommended (which now have been confirmed as unnecessary), when deciding if you want your pets seen here.

Last year we seen a new doctor there that just charged for everything on her ear infection that the technician took some of the charges off because he said they weren't necessary. Anyways, I had my son take her to the doctor in January this year because she's been limping and he came home with no dog. He said the doctor's putting her to sleep to take x-rays to figure out what's wrong with her knee. The bill came to $1300 never heard from the doctor. He was working on the price on how much it was gonna cost for a torn ACL still no response finally, I took her to Warm spring pet hospital and their prices are on the website on exactly how much they charge for an ACL they do not put their dogs to sleep to take x-rays. I refer everyone who has problems with torn ACL or any knee injuries to go to Warm Springs pet hospital. I made the call everything was done over the phone and her surgery was scheduled seven days later. I think Colma Animal hospital can do better at communicating and bringing back their affordable prices without hidden charges.

First of all, she was very friendly, helpful and extra thoughtful and kind to my cats and me. Both my cats went right up to see her and were immediately comfortable. She knows how to relate to our animal companions to put them at ease.One cat has early kidney disease and is now free of bad kidney values after going on a diet for early kidney issues and careful evaluation of what he was eating which goes beyond cat food. Out other cat had chronic sturbite crystals and had lost weight, was a picky eater and hurting. She did specialty tests to find he had IBD and put him on a food for both crystals and IBD, now he's at normal weight and happy. I appreciate her care for my boys And informative support for their home care. Hope to work with her again as soon as possible. I'm so sad Blue Pearl closed.
