In the waiting room, I could hear the GADUNK of the adjustment table, and to me it sounded like a guillotine! I was so nervous! But - Dr. Haro was incredibly patient. He listened to me, (and I talked a lot), he carefully explained what he would do, and then after making sure it was ok with me, he did a few adjustments on my back and neck which felt good and put my fears to rest. Although one session won't likely resolve this, I did feel better when I left. Now I'm looking forward to going back next week and continuing to improve. It's also well worth seeing Crystal, a massage therapist there. She's amazing too. You know in the first few minutes that you're in great hands with her. I had a fantastic massage and will be back regularly. I feel like I found a skilled team to get me back to normal activities and keep me there. And - Dr. Haro called to check on me the next day. Back then, I was not a patient but became friends as I considered him a GOAT in terms of his strict diet and exercise regime. Approximately 12 years ago I started to see him for low back strain and see him only when needed. Back then my masseuse was Angel who was amazing and had been with Dr. Thomas for over 15 plus years before moving away. Fast forward and I get massages from David who is also great and like Angel can immediately tell the areas where massage is needed. Dr Haro is his associate who actually trained under Dr. Ken. I had a very disappointing experience at Danny Chan Chiropractic. I arrived about 15 minutes late…read morebecause I genuinely forgot about the appointment, and the front desk staff was already rude from the start. Even though they decided to still take me in, the entire interaction felt unprofessional. After filling out the paperwork, I mentioned I would be paying out of pocket. During a phone call I had with the office about 3 weeks earlier, I was told the visit would cost around $110-$120. However, the front desk suddenly told me it would be $200. When I explained what I had previously been told, instead of trying to help or clarify professionally, I was asked "what office did you call?" and told it was "maybe the coupon price." If that price was discussed before, it should have been honored or at least handled respectfully. Instead, I was basically given an ultimatum: either continue with the appointment at the higher price or cancel. I chose to cancel. Overall, the customer service was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. I will not be returning.

I didn't even know that chiropractic during pregnancy was a thing until afterwards. When I got pregnant again with my second child, I knew I wanted to find a chiropractor that had expertise working with mamas-to-be. I'm so happy I came across Dr. Lisa and her practice. I've been to several chiropractors before that would only ever perform the same routine adjustment on me, no matter what new pain I might have had that day. With Dr. Lisa, it was a completely different experience. Before I even went into the office, Dr. Lisa first did a consult phone call with me to find out more about what I was looking to get out of going to see her and then walked me through her practice and philosophy. My first in office visit consisted of a 3 part Insight scan so they could gather more data about what my nervous system was saying it needed, ie which parts of my body were inflamed that we should be focusing more on. I then came back a few days later to go over the results of my scan with her and then to get my first adjustment. Dr. Lisa recommended a two part program for me - Phase 1 being to get my body into a better state to prepare for my upcoming L&D experience, and then Phase 2 just being maintenance to sustain that state. With Phase 1, I was going into the office 2-3 times/week and then went down to ~1x/week with Phase 2. Every visit is personalized with how you are feeling that day and what your body is saying it needs, so it's not just the same routine adjustment over and over. The Insight scan is repeated every 12 visits so you can monitor the progress that you are making. There is the option to purchase a bulk package and prepay for all your visits which saves you a good amount of money. With the package I purchased, there was the option for a "Daddy" visit, where my husband came with me to get some hands on training on certain positions or exercises he could help me with either before during the labor experience to ease my discomfort. The package also comes with a home visit after the baby is born, so Dr. Lisa can evaluate your postpartum state as well as the baby to ensure everyone is recovering nicely. I have been such a fan of my overall experience here that I am now trying to convince my husband to start his own sessions as he deals with some chronic pain. Dr. Lisa also has a lot of experience working with children - I never knew how many common childhood disorders were associated with misalignment in the body or nervous system. This office is truly a "family wellness" center and can address all the different needs for each member of your family.
