Yelp to the rescue, as the massage place I was standing in front of didn't have good reviews and Ching's was only two blocks away, and I got a special rate for checking in on the app. I walked in without an appointment on a late Saturday afternoon and only waited 15 minutes until Pauline was ready to start my massage. She was great. Room was modest but clean and comfortable with a heat lamp to help keep you toasty. She worked the knots and tension out of my back and soldiers with a from but not sadistic touch. She paid special attention to my trouble-spots (she didn't have to ask--she could feel them) and made sure she was applying pressure that I was comfortable with. I was sorry when the hour was up, but felt very relaxed and like 10 pounds of stress had been melted off. Only thing she didn't massage was my feet, but that means I'll have to stop back for a foot massage later this week!

He helped me with my fertility problem (AMH 0.06) after I failed from 3 rounds of IVF and 1 round of IUI. To be honest, I didn't really believe in non-western treatment at the beginning but after my case was declined by an IVF doctor, I had no choice but to try acupuncture. We had her for 45 days and wish we could have kept her longer! She made my transition into motherhood so much easier. Overnights: She took the overnight wake-ups and diaper changes, brought our daughter to me for feedings, and rocked her back to sleep. Without her, my health and my sleep would be in a very different place. Daytime: Gan A Yi goes above and beyond so my husband and I can be as hands-off as possible. She changes diapers before we even notice, carries the baby for 30-45 minutes until she's in a deep sleep, and often stays well past her break to make sure the baby is calm and settled. She happily watched the baby while we went out and wouldn't take extra time off, even when we offered several times. It's so hard to find someone with that level of flexibility, work ethic, and genuine care. Adaptable: She's great at everything she does. For example, she helped our baby slowly increase her milk intake, stretch out overnight feeds, and even adjust to sleeping on a different side of her head. Every meal was different, and she turned leftovers into something completely new. Her knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine and Cantonese postpartum recovery was a big reason we wanted a confinement nanny, and she delivered. Baby: Our 6-week-old now smiles at Gan A Yi more than at almost anyone else, which says it all. From the way she talks to and plays with her every day, I can tell she truly cares about her. She encourages her to talk, play, and move, and is always making sure she's warm, clean, comfortable, and fed. That's exactly what any parent could hope for. Gerry has impressed me with his knowledge and seemingly intuitive approach. While some of the needles are painful ( of course they would be), he is kind, gentle and precise. I just had my third treatment and I will be continuing with Gerry as I have enough experience to know that there is no such thing as instant relief, at least not when it comes to migraines. Sciatica and things like that can be a one treatment fix and if you are suffering with it, skip the western muscle relaxers and give acupuncture a try! I had migraines all my life and dealt with them as well as I can. When I get them, boy, stop the world because they are debilitating and painful. I used to pop Excedrin Migraine Max strength to help me, but no longer do I need meds for them. Jennifer taught me that painkillers don't cure the root of the problem but instead, are like bandages for the cause. Ever since I've been seeing her, my migraines occur less often, are less intense, and are manageable without drugs. Acupuncture has changed my life and I truly thank Jennifer for showing me the way. I'm not a competitive athlete by any means but, I've always been active and aches/pains/injuries are part of life. Once you get past 30 (and now 40), it becomes part of the active lifestyle routine which means I visit Eva monthly for acupuncture, cupping and a refill on herbs. She's knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner. I generally provide a vague meandering description of what's hurting and she somehow knows exactly what to do next. She provides not only a treatment while I'm there but, a treatment plan so I know what I should be doing (and not doing) when I leave her office. First I want to clarify that I gave five stars only for Dr Judi Wong and Dr Ho. They hear you out to see gave you the time to help instead of rushing you out. They exactly have a smile and not like some dr "stuck up" If not for their true love and care for their work. I would have taken my daughter out of these place. ZERO star for the front desk staffs. They need plenty of people relationship training. Absolutely not friendly and show no patience and sympathy to sick patients. Some need training on handling on paper work when referring u to a hospital. For my daughter, Lucky I called the hospital to re confirmed the appointment and found out that they need documents from them before the procedure can be done. So I went right after work and ask for the docs myself and brought it to the hospital which should have faxed it to the hospital before hand. Hospital also need the CD from their imaging dept. which is the next window. And was only 5:15pm when the imaging front desk turned their lights off and the young man just sat there. So I told him I need a copy of the diagnosis and need a CS copy for the procedure. He got the nerve and said that they are closed and come by tomorrow. By then I was furious and asked him what time these place close. He said 5:30pm. But he clocked out and is only 5:20pm then. Then said. Some lady came out and they exchanged sine word. Then said ok I will take your request down and come back tomorrow to pick up the CD. My goodness. These people will start closing to e office down before the time is up. Zero zero zero star for both the depts front desk. Nice place but definitely needs lots of improvement.
