Our corgi loves the staff, especially Maria, at this hospital! He's always feeling welcomed and never hesitant to go back with them. We love that Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Ro are very attentive, personable, and caring towards Cody!

Like a lot of other services, it's hard to find a good Vet for new puppy owners. After a lot of Yelp searching and browsing countless reviews led us to Juvo Veterinary Hospital. Booking a first time appointment was easy and smooth online. We brought Alister over for his first vet visit and was pleasantly surprised. We checked in and was escorted to the exam room for pre-visit questions/concerns. Then Dr. Annie came in to do the exam and go over the needed vaccines. She answered many of the questions we had and was patient. They have a puppy and adult dog wellness program that we signed up for via Snout, The vaccinations didn't take too long and everyone in the front staff were friendly and nice. Definitely will be back for more vaccinations in the near future. Parking lot

I was scheduled for an appointment with in a few hours of inquiring. All the staff + nurses were so kind. Dr Annie Ro was so patient, compassionate, and clearly helped me understand what was going on. Unlike other vets I've been to, she was very empathetic of the financial strain that these visits can cause, she gave me more than one option and prescribed my cat a perfect combination of medications that have my girl back to normal. She is an amazing doctor and I'm happy I chose Juvo. I'll definitely be back at Juvo if/when needed. A day after my appointment, someone from Juvo reached out to check in with me and see how my girl is doing and that was so kind. Thank you so much to everyone that helped me at Juvo, you are all amazing-- My girl June and I thank you tremendously!!

Minnie gets nervous, but they are so gentle with her!

Your pets will be taken care of here. Everyone that works here is always happy to see my cats and is invested in positive outcomes. They walk you through all care options, no pressure, and explain everything perfectly. Our visits are consistently great thanks to the amazing staff.

The Juvo team was very attentive and friendly with my sweet little Luna and I. They were timely and helpful with any concerns I had. The center was clean and organized and I will be back in the future for any pet needs! Highly recommend :)

Just came here today for my miniature dachshund's (named Rindo) first puppy appointment. I was originally going to go to another vet, but decided against it since I lost my dachshund, Max, of 17 years there (long story short, we didn't go there originally but he had a stroke/seizure in my arms and I thought he was gone. However, we raced down to the other vet since it was close to my house and they helped us immediately and were amazing, even though we were a walk in with no calling prior, nor were we established patients) and we can't quite bring ourselves to go back due to having triggering memories of his death) ANYWAYS! I decided to try Juvo a call since I used to bring Max to Oceana Pet Hospital, and I even used to work there years ago. This morning (like 2 am mornjng) I accidentally tripped over Rindo and it was the most terrifying thing ever. He's a tiny 10 week old miniature dachshund, and I ended up going down too and am unsure if I hit him on my way down. He was terrified of me, and I didn't know if I had hurt him or not. He was a lot better after we went back to sleep but I still wanted to get him checked, considering his size. I called in the morning and was able to get an appointment! That afternoon! That's incredibly hard to find with a lot of vets. The receptionist was very kind and totally understanding of my fear which logically, I know he'd probably be fine but also.. he's a tiny dog. He's only 4 lbs so there's potential for harm. Got there for his appointment and everyone was so nice. Our vet, Dr. Ro, was extremely kind and knowledgeable and answered my millions of questions - even though I'm sure at one point I got annoying, lol. The techs and front desk workers were so incredibly kind, and one even came out to apologize for the delay when Rindo was taking a while to come back- I was told everyone just wanted to hold him and love on him- which is totally fine with me! I was also surprised at how much my vet bill was. Definitely a lot less than expected! Excited to have a partnership with Juvo Vet and for them to help me keep Rindo happy, safe, and healthy!

So grateful for Dr. Valerie Rose, and Maria at the front desk for their care today. My dog was stung by a bee, and her whole body went into an allergic response. Her face swelled up, her airway tightened, she developed welts all over her body and she had trouble breathing. I called Juvo in a sheer panic, and was invited to come in immediately. Upon walking in, my pup received immediate care from Dr. Rose, who is absolutely terrific, calming, and thoroughly explained the treatment to me. While my dog was being treated, Maria who staffed the front desk, sat with me, comforted me and made sure I had water. Staff went above and beyond to care for my dog AND me while we were in distress. Pricing for that extraordinary level of emergency care was 100% appropriate and affordable. They kept my dog for a couple of hours just to make sure the swelling went down and breathing returned to regular, and we're now home safe, resting and recovering. Thank you, team Juvo. You crushed it on all fronts today, and your empathy and excellent care for both Lola and I are so very appreciated.

Juvo was recently renovated with a beautiful modern aesthetic and now has new ownership. Dr. Nguyen has been caring for our senior dog, Waffle for many years. He is a rescue dog from Korea and was initially very nervous around other dogs and new people. The Juvo team took great care of Waffle and treated him like family. Dr. Nguyen is knowledgeable, transparent, and breaks down medical jargon so we understand what is going on. I trust her wholeheartedly with my pup! The staff are very pleasant and there is also a beautiful ocean view just outside the hospital.

    Bailey seeing Dr Nguyen again!

Our senior dog woke up with an infected eye, and when I called, they were able to see her the same day. From the very beginning, the experience was completely different from what we were used to. We were met in the parking lot, welcomed warmly, and immediately felt cared for. The entire staff was kind, calm, and attentive -- and the vet was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough. She spent real time with us, not only addressing the eye issue but also talking through our dog's overall health, answering questions, and making sure we felt informed and reassured. It never felt rushed. We previously went to Banfield and were often left feeling like just another number -- with our dog spending hours in a kennel for what should have been a simple visit. This experience was the exact opposite: personal, compassionate, and genuinely refreshing. We are so, so happy we made the switch and feel relieved knowing our senior dog is now in such good hands. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a vet who truly cares -- about both pets and their people.

The location is…read moreokay, the hours are great but each time I've made an appointment here (i've been sticking with this vet hospital for a few years now) I have had to wait at least 45 min to an hour after my scheduled appointment time to even be checked in with by a technician. Sometimes longer to get a room. While I do think that this isn't entirely their fault since afternoons/evenings seems busy (hard to even find a waiting room seat), I do feel that it's worth noting that the time that the vet is actually examining my pet feels so rushed. After waiting almost an hour, I get about 5 minutes tops of a vet talking at me about all the vague possibilities that I could've guessed myself. Most of the vets I've seen thus far have been nice but have all given me "could be/maybe" answers and haven't tried to find further answers when I brought my pet in for a fever and sickness. They ran tests and basically didnt find answers and sent me home to monitor...I genuinely thought my pet was dying and they essentially gave me the google list of possibilities and said "well if they seem to be getting better over time then great!" Which, sure, but I wanted more advocation for my pet so I can prevent this from happening again...I essentially had to tell the doctor...um my pet had a fever and vomiting and despite tests being negative, I'm pretty sure those are signs of infection...if they arent eating or acting like they usually do, couldnt a course of antibiotics be helpful to rule out the possibilty? and the doctor basically said, "yeah i guess you're right a fever could probably be helped with some antibiotics. let's do that!" Not to mention, wildly expensive costs for treatments that they kind of tell you NEED to happen to help your pet. I paid almost $5000 dollars for some xrays and fluids and antibiotics for my pet over 3-4 visits (granted they were all urgent visits, so the exam cost was about double that of a non-urgent visit). $400 alone for a non-urgent visit, 1 test, and some meds. sad. the receptionists have been wonderful though! so props to them for handling some crazy cases and busy days (extra star for them). expect to be here for 1-4 hours depending on what your pet needs and who is available.

There were genuine positives about my experience. When I could only afford one day of the quoted three-day stay, they extended his stay without charge to ensure his pancreas levels improved. The ER doctor was caring and thoroughly answered my questions. The vet tech that first night was exceptional, she included me in his care, brought me a Gatorade, and spent her time between patients trying to find something he'd eat. She was outstanding. My main feedback is that the communication at this clinic was a consistent problem, and it affected Patches' care directly. I was handed an invoice before anyone had a real conversation with me about my dog. I was told to wait in a room, then sent back to the waiting room, then called back after another half hour with no explanation. On the second night, I arrived at 10 PM and asked the technician when Patches had last been outside to go potty. He said he didn't know. The chart said noon. Ten hours -- while they were pumping him with IV fluids, in a dog with kidney disease. When I raised the issue, the tech awkwardly told me "there's no neglect here." Although I'm sure it's not intentional, there is no excuse. If your internal communication is so bad that you are neglecting patients because of it, then it needs to be resolved immediately. After discharge, his levels worsened significantly within a week. I don't know why the doctor said that we should do fluid therapy every three days and then see how it goes from there. What happened was he ended up needing daily fluid therapy and his levels were so high that he needed to be hospitalized again after one week. If we had just done daily fluid therapy for the entire first week, maybe his levels wouldn't have ever gotten that high. These are all things that we would've been able to communicate about if there was any sort of communication throughout the whole process. I also would've liked to have known that gabapentin is for palliative care and it destroys your kidneys. I was told to give it to him following his hospitalization and his kidney levels went from stage three to double the maximum of end stage kidney failure within one week. The vet nutritionist said that this was all manageable with diet and fluid therapy and the veterinarian at the hospital said that if I don't put him down within a week, he would become violently ill and I shouldn't let it get that far. I met about five different doctors during that week, and 3 different vet techs. As you can tell from reading this, I was being told a lot of different things by a lot of different people. This was a very stressful and chaotic time for me. Meanwhile, my dog is in pain, loosing his energy and appetite and being neglected in critical care, of all the places. It would've been nice if I had somebody who wasn't being pulled away to take care of animals to just sit down and talk to me. I believe this is a capable team and I understand you guys are doing really hard work. My situation was complicated and it was the end of his life, so it's hard to say that anything could've gotten much better. But I am upset about the lack of communication and it does need to be addressed.

Whoever picked up the phone did none of this. I was simply told they are all booked for today and that they can't give any medical advice without seeing my pet. Did not even tell me at the very least a warning sign that would be pretty obvious like "Is he vomiting?" seemed to not care about me or my dog whatsoever. That is insanely disappointing i'm dumbfounded by the man who picked up the phone. Didn't even say have a nice day or hope your dog feels better, TF? Hire better employees or give them more breaks so they aren't complete jerks when on the phone. Absolutely ridiculous. I suggest taking your pet's healthcare elsewhere.
