I wasn't going to leave a review because most of the staff was friendly and kind but after receiving a letter saying they were "terminating services with me," I had to laugh since I was the one who had already decided to find a new vet due to my dissatisfaction with the care my dog received and I CLEARLY LET THEM KNOW. Whether or not if that's protocol is pretty ridiculous! After spending close to $2,000 on repeated lab work, the vet still couldn't give me a clear answer about my dog and kept suggesting more tests "just to double check," even though everything kept coming back normal. It felt like guesswork and a money grab rather than actual care. Honestly, I learned more from experienced dog owners in Facebook groups than from the vet who treated my dog. Pacifica has plenty of vet hospitals. Save your money and go somewhere that actually listens to you and knows what they're doing. Girl bye!! read more

Like a lot of other services, it's hard to find a good Vet for new puppy owners. After a lot of Yelp searching and browsing countless reviews led us to Juvo Veterinary Hospital. Booking a first time appointment was easy and smooth online. We brought Alister over for his first vet visit and was pleasantly surprised. We checked in and was escorted to the exam room for pre-visit questions/concerns. Then Dr. Annie came in to do the exam and go over the needed vaccines. She answered many of the questions we had and was patient. They have a puppy and adult dog wellness program that we signed up for via Snout, The vaccinations didn't take too long and everyone in the front staff were friendly and nice. I don't live in Pacifica, I don't got it like that... so I've never used their services for my dogs... however, I happened to be in Pacifica for the World Dog Championship, and my booth (Camp Bow Wow) was next to the Juvo Veterinary Hospital booth. Their team was so nice! Me being the hot mess I am, I wore shorts to this very freezing event. They were giving away blankets and gave me one. They also let me use their scissors several times, and I got to pet their cute dogs. If I lived in Pacifica, I would definitely take my dogs to them. I was scheduled for an appointment with in a few hours of inquiring. All the staff + nurses were so kind. Dr Annie Ro was so patient, compassionate, and clearly helped me understand what was going on. Unlike other vets I've been to, she was very empathetic of the financial strain that these visits can cause, she gave me more than one option and prescribed my cat a perfect combination of medications that have my girl back to normal. She is an amazing doctor and I'm happy I chose Juvo. I'll definitely be back at Juvo if/when needed. So grateful for Dr. Valerie Rose, and Maria at the front desk for their care today. My dog was stung by a bee, and her whole body went into an allergic response. Her face swelled up, her airway tightened, she developed welts all over her body and she had trouble breathing. I called Juvo in a sheer panic, and was invited to come in immediately. Upon walking in, my pup received immediate care from Dr. Rose, who is absolutely terrific, calming, and thoroughly explained the treatment to me. While my dog was being treated, Maria who staffed the front desk, sat with me, comforted me and made sure I had water. Staff went above and beyond to care for my dog AND me while we were in distress. Pricing for that extraordinary level of emergency care was 100% appropriate and affordable. They kept my dog for a couple of hours just to make sure the swelling went down and breathing returned to regular, and we're now home safe, resting and recovering. Thank you, team Juvo. Just came here today for my miniature dachshund's (named Rindo) first puppy appointment. I was originally going to go to another vet, but decided against it since I lost my dachshund, Max, of 17 years there (long story short, we didn't go there originally but he had a stroke/seizure in my arms and I thought he was gone. However, we raced down to the other vet since it was close to my house and they helped us immediately and were amazing, even though we were a walk in with no calling prior, nor were we established patients) and we can't quite bring ourselves to go back due to having triggering memories of his death) ANYWAYS! I decided to try Juvo a call since I used to bring Max to Oceana Pet Hospital, and I even used to work there years ago. This morning (like 2 am mornjng) I accidentally tripped over Rindo and it was the most terrifying thing ever. He's a tiny 10 week old miniature dachshund, and I ended up going down too and am unsure if I hit him on my way down. He was terrified of me, and I didn't know if I had hurt him or not. He was a lot better after we went back to sleep but I still wanted to get him checked, considering his size. I called in the morning and was able to get an appointment! That afternoon! That's incredibly hard to find with a lot of vets. The receptionist was very kind and totally understanding of my fear which logically, I know he'd probably be fine but also.. he's a tiny dog. He's only 4 lbs so there's potential for harm. Got there for his appointment and everyone was so nice. Our vet, Dr. Ro, was extremely kind and knowledgeable and answered my millions of questions - even though I'm sure at one point I got annoying, lol. The techs and front desk workers were so incredibly kind, and one even came out to apologize for the delay when Rindo was taking a while to come back- I was told everyone just wanted to hold him and love on him- which is totally fine with me! I was also surprised at how much my vet bill was. Definitely a lot less than expected! They asked about a nail trim and I mentioned that just one nail on his rear right foot needed to be trimmed as His foot doesn't land flat and the nail never touches the ground so it doesn't wear down.After looking him over I was told they could only do them all for $40. Well my dog has been a regular customer, I've spent more than 2k there in the last few weeks. You'd think they could just cut the toe nail, say charge me $10? Can you sat "chicken shit"? read more

I LOVE this veterinarian practice. We brought home a new puppy a couple weeks ago and have visited the office twice now for a wellness check and vaccines. This office is super clean, very organized and easy to find, plenty of parking too ! Before anything is even done or administered for your pet, they go over pricing. They aren't pushy, they just tell you what is recommended. Everyone in the office is so kind and sweet, and very informative. They take the time to make recommendations and explain why they are being recommended. They also have a wellness plan available which is super cost effective, especially when bringing home a new puppy. I'm so happy to have found this office. Juvo was recently renovated with a beautiful modern aesthetic and now has new ownership. Dr. Nguyen has been caring for our senior dog, Waffle for many years. He is a rescue dog from Korea and was initially very nervous around other dogs and new people. The Juvo team took great care of Waffle and treated him like family. Dr. Nguyen is knowledgeable, transparent, and breaks down medical jargon so we understand what is going on. I trust her wholeheartedly with my pup! We came here opening week and I love how refreshed and beautiful the location is! Juvo Pet Hospital is currently where the old Oceana Pet Hospital was with totally new ownership and a big refresh. I also love the new, upgraded paperless invoices and how nice and kind everyone is here to me and my mini doodle, Bailey. Another thing I love about Juvo is they have their own private parking lot so parking is always a breeze! Theres also a lot of great businesses nearby like Starbucks, donut shops, dry cleaners etc so you can get some errands done while your pup gets a checkup. Multiple calls made and multiple calls received regarding our dog having "all necessary" shots to travel to the country we are going to. We received a call literally one day before our required 10-day health certificate that is needed to travel to the country we are going to (Panama). I've felt that so many other vets I've been too try to upsell me testing and diagnostics, but at Juvo the vets (particularly huge shoutout to my fave Dr. Nguyen!) are so thoughtful and only recommended tests that were what we needed. They just charged us $900.00 to euthanize our dog! Talk about taking advantage of a distraught pet owner.

My suffered a leg injury and they were able to see her the same day I called in. They treated my dog with so much care and they were very thorough during the exam. During the initial exam, they noticed my dog had an ear infection, which easily could've gone unnoticed. I am happy they caught it quickly and worked with me to get it treated. They have efficient communication services and send texts/calls for follow ups which is convenient.
