Coastal Express Shuttle did a great job both picking up my party of four for dinner at Louisiana Lagniappe under two miles up the road, and returning us to our condo! The booking/scheduling process was simple and the driver was courteous, friendly and communicative! He texted us when he arrived at both locations, and drove very safely in the bumper to bumper "beginnings of Summer" traffic on Perdido Beach Boulevard. I wish I remember our driver's name, I think it was Terry. I can't speak to the price since my other sorority sister paid. I did hear her mention different price points based on the time of day. Booking this servie was not so easy. My group was attending a conference in Mobile, Alabama on August 4, 20200. We pre-paid for roundtrip. Our pick up time from the Mobile airport was for 2 pm. However we were not picked-up until almost 4pm. Calling dispatcher several times and was advised the driver was at the airport and they gave us his name, Meanwhile because we were attending a conference and we needed to be checked into the hotel and attend our meeting, some us us took alternative transportation to be on time. Our driver informed us he was not at Mobile airport but had picked up passengers from Pensacola, Fla airport. I asked for a refund , but was told they should have waited & no refund will be issuse. Terrible service, WE WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN !!!!! read more

While on a girls weekend MY FRIEND (not me - embarrassment unfortunately belonged to her...) ordered a shuttle to take us to dinner. The shuttle showed up 20 minutes late. When we attempted to get in, there was another couple trying to enter, with plans to hit the florabama. We were a little confused, but the driver would not get off the phone to speak with us. So, we decided that she must be planning on making two stops. Then one of the florabama couple needed to run back to their room "real quick". Super. So we sat there another 10 minutes, looking at each other, and continuing to listen to the driver's phone call. Then, the driver switched over to another call! At that point, keys in hand, we got out and jumped into one of our own cars with a driver who was now planning on not drinking any wine I'm not really sure if she even realized we left. read more

Awful experience trying to use this service. I am sure the business owner will reply to my review saying I am making false statements, but I assure you I am not. Our group (a bachelorette party of 11) made a reservation to be picked up to go to dinner. We made the reservation on a Thursday in the afternoon for the following Friday evening at 7pm (about 24 hours in advance). They called the girl who made the reservation at 6:00pm. She was in the shower and returned the call once she got out at 6:20pm. We have screenshots of the call log and times. They did not leave a voicemail and we called back 5 times, all of which were ignored after one ring. A girl with a different area code from our group called and they instantly picked up, so they were screening our phone calls and intentionally not answering. The woman who answered RUDELY informed us that our shuttle had been cancelled and briskly hung up on us. This is TERRIBLE customer service and I do not recommend this shuttle company whatsoever. EDIT: Clearly, by the reply by the business owner, they refuse to accept any wrong doing or responsibility. Her voicemail box WAS NOT full and we were only called ONE time. We were NOT told about needing to confirm, probably because we made the reservation the day before. Regardless - Avoiding *5* customer calls by screening the area code and then hanging up on them is unprofessional and flat out rude... just like the owner of this business. I leave honest and legitimate reviews, and this place is a joke. Calling a customer leaving a real experience "ignorant"... well, there you have it! Take some responsibility for your mistakes and do better as a business! ACTUAL MESSAGE I RECEIVED FROM OWNER: "Anyone that owns a business knows that Yelp is a joke and is for snowflakes. Your arrogance believing that you know anything about operating a business is comical. Where do I even start with this company? They agreed to shuttle 50 of my wedding guests (which turned into about 30) over a four and a half period within a five mile radius of our venue, in a 12 person van. From what I can see of their responses to other negative reviews, instead of being good business owners and trying to remedy the situation, they instead say their customers are liars. So, here's my truth, take it or leave it. I have many witnesses. My best bet is the owners will leave it. But that's just a guess. Let's see. The $500 payment included a 20% tip, pre-paid. Most of my outside guests started rolling into the reception about an hour late. About a half an hour after that, my sister in law came up to me and started to tell me about the horrible experiences she was hearing about the shuttle service from her family members. I was appalled, as any bride would be! I continued to hear stories throughout the night of how the driver was rude to them, or wouldn't answer their calls (remember I had pre-paid both her service and tip, never thinking it would have a bearing on her service). I heard stories about people contacting the shuttle and she would say she would be there in 15 minutes, they would wait 45 minutes and then she showed up the same time as the Uber driver did, and questioned my guests why they even contacted Uber! It was a total nightmare. And when I contacted the company after the wedding, there were no apologies, only accusations, that it was my fault for not hiring TWO vans for $1,000 to transport 30 people! Really? You do the math. All of that aside, I'm so thankful for my other vendors who agreed to step in and stay later so we could enjoy our time with our guests. All in all, we found a way to overcome this horrible experience. Wait for it....because instead of apologizing for our terrible experience and offering to make it right...the business owners are about to refute this statement, call their customers a liar and pretend this experience never happened. Yelp does not allow responses to vendors once they have responded, which is why this vendor only replies that their negative reviews are false statements, all the while knowing the reviewer cannot respond back to defend their initial, truthful, negative review. So, Coastal Express lies, saying the reviewer's statements are false, thinking their statements cannot be backed up by the initial reviewer, unless multiple reviews of the same incident are made. So, I have asked all of my guests to review their horrible experience with this company. We will also contact Yelp with the full email chain to verify our claim, since Coastal Express only uses excerpts of emails, to try and make themselves look better, while not revealing the truth. This company is horrible, please do not make our $500 mistake of using them for your wedding. They stole our once in a lifetime memories with our guests and offered no apologies for their awful service, which, of course, we paid for in advance. Buyer beware!! read more

This company does have a strict 24 hour cancellation policy, which I believe is a fair business practice. The owner's customer service skills, however, are horribly lacking. I was unable to make my trip due to my son's life threatening emergency. I had planned to pay the bill in its entirety, but before I was even made aware that there was an issue with other parties missing the shuttle, or with the credit card used for the initial reservation, I was sent hostile and threatening emails from the owner. There was no phone call to me to try to resolve the issue, which would have been as simple as providing my current credit card number (Discover had recently issued me a new card due to security breach.). I would not recommend anyone doing business with this company if you expect to receive fair and decent customer service. Problems do arise, and this particular issue could have been resolved in a much more productive and less hostile fashion. I am profoundly disappointed to have been treated in such a way even though I had responsibly notified the company of my situation within the first fifteen minutes of arriving to the hospital with my disabled son via ambulance. read more
