This is what my husband and I used to go through every time we had to travel. We have 4 animals at home. An outside dog and 3 indoor cats. (Used to be 2 dogs, we miss you, Rusty!) During our trip planning several years ago I announced to my husband we couldn't afford to go on our trip. The best boarding rate I could find was going to cost us over $1k, yes, that's one thousand dollars! (Que the Dr. Evil pinky-grin.) We just wanted to go see family for about an 8 day trip, but it was going to cost more to board our animals than it would for the two of us to get there and back! Don and Lori to the RESCUE! I found Walkin'-n-Waggin' and made a call. Don and Lori came out to my home, introduced themselves, and explained their services. When they showed me their rates, I was sure I was missing something. Seriously? Less than $300? Yup! And I have never again worried about being gone from home. Here's what you get: PEACE OF MIND! They come once or twice a day, your choice. They feed and play with all the animals, scoop litter, water plants, rotate lights, check the mail, and bring in anything that may be left on the porch like a package or the newspaper. They even make sure my garbage gets to the curb, and they bring the can back up and put it away. They're trained in First Aid for pets, and will take your pet to the vet if something happens. All this, and your fur-babies stay in their own home, sleep in their own beds, and get some peace and quiet. In the 7+ years we have used this service, we have never once worried about what was going on at home. We receive regular voicemails or text messages while we're away, and upon return my husband and I usually fuss over who gets to read the daily notes that are always left for us. The comfort of knowing our pets and our home is being looked after while we're away is priceless to us. We have never returned home to any mess or unexpected situation. Walkin'-n-Waggin' is a professional service that goes above and beyond. 5 stars is not enough to express the high quality of service and satisfaction that comes from doing business with these folks. We wouldn't dream of leaving our home for any length of time without calling them. We're lucky to have people like Don and Lori operating their business in our area.

I felt the need to write a glowing review about Beth's Comfy Critters Petsitters because I was extremely happy and satisfied with the services that were provided by Beth and her husband Joe. From the moment I initially contacted them the customer service was far above average, and greatly exceeded my expectations. The got back to me promptly via email. After initial contact we set up a time to speak on the phone in which they spent about 20 minutes discussing my needs. After the phone consult we arranged a time to do an in home consultation which was at a time of my choosing which I found to be very nice considering my busy schedule. Joe made the 20 minute drive to my home and arrived early. We spent almost an hour going through a complete list of my needs, in addition to him meeting my dog and developing an instant bond. Being an animal lover it is easy to see someone who has a similar mentality and fondness of animals, and I can greatly appreciate that. I should mention too that I own an 8 year old Pit Bull named Roxanne. She is a member of my family, and Joe and Beth treated her as one. This was extremely nice and refreshing to me, especially considering the stigma surrounding the breed, and some people's reluctance or out right refusal to work with the breed. After the hour long in home consult, which was extremely informative, and I found to be very professional and beneficial to my whole family, we toured the house and went through the routine of what I would like done for Roxanne while I was away. Joe was very comfortable with everything and made me feel comfortable also. He took a lot of notes, and asked a lot of questions. We discussed how ofter I would like for Joe and Beth to keep in contact with me and give me updates while I was away. They stuck to what they said, and keep in contact with me the entire time I was away which was so comforting to me. Like I said Roxanne is a member of my family and with the great service that was provided to me I felt at ease being away and leaving her in good hands. I decided to have Beth and Joe come over twice a day to spend time with Roxanne, let her out, feed her, play with her, they also offered to do three times a day if I would like. Their cost was very reasonable. I have no complaints at all, I am extremely 110% satisfied! I would recommend Beth's Comfy Critters Petsitters to anyone and everyone! I heard about this boarding facility through a friend and decided to check it out as I am always…read morelooking for a place where my dog could be comfortable and feel right at home when I was travelling or needed a short stay for my pup. I looked at the owner's website www.camp-ruff.com which describes their facility as a "lux camp" for dogs and puppies. I was intrigued and called for an appt to view the property and see the operations. I was met by the Camp Director/Owner, a delightful, sincere woman named Lucinda. She greeted me and my dog and proceeded to show me the camp home, which is divided into sections based on the needs and behaviors of the various dogs she was boarding. She listened to my description of my dogs needs, habits and observed her to judge how she would behave w other dogs. One by one she let a dog out from the house, where they have their "sleep over", cautiously to see what my dog would do. As the animals were about my dog's size everyone seemed to accept each other. Great news! Lucinda decided to take the next step by taking my dog w the small pack for some exercise on the trail in the woods behind the house. The dogs were running around having a great time which relieved my anxiety that my dog might not like to be off leash but she was running and getting some great exercise and learning to enjoy the pack mentality. No fighting or misbehaving, perfect! Lucinda works tirelessly to pamper the pooches morning and night. Morning feedings, evening feedings, medications and always careful observations of the pets. They all sleep like happy babies when the day ends in a real home environment. Prices are in line and reasonable I think for an overnight stay of $44 including feeding, walking, playtime and careful observation by someone who is highly qualified and very knowledgeable of pet behavior. All animals come in contact w other pets only when owner has documentation for boarding such as rabies vaccination, bordetello. This place is a well thought out and safe place to leave your precious pet while you are away. So relax, they got your back!
